  6. Not sure about scientific proof. However, as with any romantic or platonic relationship, a break-up can be hurtful and represent a sort of loss (friendship, companion, etc). SL relationships are no different as the connections you make are with people dressed as avatars. There is a research out there that says that a break-up triggers chemical in the brain and the effects are similar to drug withdrawal. Yo may wish to focus on how SL relationships can do the same.
  7. I discovered SL when I was feeling a little bored. I learned all about primitives in the Ivory Tower and also took lessons with Brewer's to learn more. I met and still have a selective round of SL friends who like me prefer to keep SL and RL separate. On that note, I don't prefer SL to RL. I think that in SL you can relax while visiting different places and meeting people. In RL, there would be much more involved in doing same. There's also a time limit in RL that you less frequently see in SL (not counting RL responsibilities of course). I don't see SL as a substitute for RL. I see it as a way to unwind after a long day. I hope this helps. Cheers :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  8. I learned all about prims in the Ivory Tower of Primitives. Excellent place! I highly recommend it. )
  9. I hear that in SL this is a very common occurrence. Boy falls in love with a girl and then either or both fall out of love. In the end, I say you still have yourself. You also have many other boys out there to meet Keep your head up ) It'll all feel better in the morning.
  10. M-beautiful 2-sides protected (ocean and road) rare parcel – 6800m2 Right click ground to buy! Large enough for a nice home or business http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Shamrock/156/192/96
  11. Thanks for your well written explanation. I love those as it shows common cocurtesy towards others. The other reason given to me is that the parcel was too big to sell to me. As I had previously purchased 2 larger parcels before, this agent's curt responses only seemed uninformed to me.
  12. It would appear that not all second life agents are aware of this policy. I requested to purchase land and was told they don't offer direct land sales.
  13. Moderate region - adjacent parcels - need to free up land and cash Sunset views 4096 m2- 937 prims - 5,000$L http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Helgi/222/42/24 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Helgi/219/28/23 Right click ground to buy.
