  1. Hey hun, try posting a bit about what you enjoy doing! People may like anthros, but they still find differing things enjoyable!
  2. I'm a bit tired of seeing the cheap 'gangsta' look. Or clothing that accenuate every overdeveloped muscle. I think classy guys are some of the best. Then again, never been much interested in men or fashion so I don't have a good grip on it.
  3. Personally I like mesh. I'm still waiting for all the kinks to work out but I've had little problem with it. Though, it will be some time before I spend money on it. I think, its a great new way to make fashion. I don't mind editing my shape a bit to make things fit so usually stuff looks good on me. I look foward to seeing what anthro avatar creators can do with it. It could help to pick up some freebies or demos. Many are very good quality. That way you don't have to spend to try.
  4. Did it arrive? At your bottom bar, next to messages, a pop up should come up asking if you want to keep your product. Sometimes, it may take some time for it to arrive.
  5. It might be hard right now to find a 'job'. However, I encourage you to learn to build! Its rather useful and can help. I know a great sandbox also, but its adult. Are you able to go to those places?
  6. Most of my alphas are from already purchased skirts. I tried googling for a tutorial of some kind but didn't get the right results. I know my skirt alpaha is from an outfit at Blue Blood. I wish I could be more help to you though. If I find one that's transferable I will send it to you.
  7. I mute people whose arcs are over the roof. It helps the lag. Probably unmute them sooner or later though.
  8. Because height is such an important factor in this damn game. Might as well let the drama roll on in.
  9. Personally, if the person owns the SIM they do can whatever they want. It sucks yes, but they pay for it. I won't raise a fuss if anyone boots me. Its the same if someone doesn't like anthro avatars. If they polietly ask me to change I sure as hell will. Same with 'ageplay'. If some accuses me of it I will explain myself. Depending on the situation I will change. I was banned for not having a certain type of avatar once; even though I was there to buy one. Its just a thing that can not be helped. I agree, it would be nice to see the 'average' height in SL go down. However, it won't likely happen.
  10. Those sandboxes are what I miss most. No lag, just nice empty spaces. Plus, no one really bothering you. 'wanna sex?'
  11. I always tried to make most of my avatars around 5' 3''-6'. Its a nice range, but does often leave you having trouble. Since everything is made for taller avatars it can be funny. I once found a fence that was far taller than me, when it was supposed to be waist high. Its a shame you were accused of ageplay. I find that even if the shape has breasts anything under a certain height is pointed out unfairily. Plus, smaller avatars mean smaller spaces which means less room being used! Plus, all the Amazons make me feel as though I'm about to be stepped on.
  12. Why I only buy mod skirts unless they are free. Really, there is little chance that merchants will do things such as you're suggesting. The main market is the average body shape. Lean and tall. Why go outside the shape that makes money? For prim skirts, it is annoying to get them to fit. Hence, only buying mod. Resizer scripts only do so much. Even a novice builder can easily refit a skirt without them. However, if you find your tush is sticking out may I suggest an alpha layer in that area? It works wonders! I wear mine often and there might be some on the marketplace. If not, they aren't the hardest things to make. Texturing wise, it would mean the creator has to put in extra work redoing the textures. Then uploading a couple of times to get them to fit right. Its extra work for a much smaller niche. Which, to make up for it, they may raise the prices. As for prim breasts? Many don't buy it for the 'BBW' look. They buy it just too have FF breasts. Because of this, many dislike the prim breasts so they aren't too popular. Though, I do like the well made ones that aren't the size of a house. Animation wise, its the same as clothing. Extra work for a smaller market.
  13. Halloween fashion isn't nearly as good as being creepy. :matte-motes-sunglasses-3: I was going to bring my eggsack into the picture, but the chillins needed a nap.
  14. My friend saw someone with over 100,000 in ARC. Really, if something is modify I just delete the resize scripts. Brings it way way down. As for average, it depends on what you're wearing. Usually, about 3,000 is what I see and doesn't cause many problems. Though, some anthro avatars are higher due to the number of prims.
  15. If you want love, it will take time. Just keep traveling over the grid and see what happens. They may or may not be emo/goth.
  16. I recall being a newbie and spluring all my savings on this prim object. I wanted to rage when it came out horrible with crooked edges and such. Then I realized I had to turn my graphics up. Demos are a wonderful thing.. LIke others have said, creators will brush up with windlights and settings to make their products look amazing. Nothing is really wrong with that until they go too far and just change everything.
  17. I once went to a skin store that used 'morphed' photos for ads. As in, putting a SL face on an actual body. Its a cheap way to make skins look 'realistic'. I'm sure most people would prefer their skins to look great overall and not just the face.
  18. A very classy and glamours skin! I also wouldn't think it was from 2008. Personally, I dislike how 'bee-stung' the lips are. I find with most skins its hard to make lips smaller even with editing the shape. But that's just me being an ol' picky person. Otherwise its very lovely. Love the detail around the eyes.
  19. Yep, it will follow the land. Unless of course, its on a poseball. But then they can't move. I'm pretty sure you have to mess with scripts to get your lovely sim floating. Or, try flying perhaps. But, that also follows the elevation of the land. Sorry I'm not more help.
  20. Second Life isn't Second Life without griefers. You did handle everything correctly, but sadly you will most likely encounter another griefer again. As for the blocking thing, as far as I know that should stop that person. As for where it happens, mostly sandboxes. Usually, the person has to be able to rez items but I'm sure that isn't the case all the time. Just know that not everyone is like that. Also, welcome to Second Life!
  21. Haha nah. There's really no difference. Wear pretty much means you're just attaching it wherever it was last.
  22. As far as I know, there isn't a way. Since everyone uses a different viewer and such. Not much you can do really. Just say that 'I'm busy, can't talk right now'
  23. Aside from getting a custom skin, you might not be able to find exactly what you want. Also, gotta chillax. Everyone just wants to help out and sometimes words get mixed. If you want less make-up try a 'child' skin. I find them rather nice and you can always add make-up later. Painted on eye-lashes though is a big trend, I wish you luck in finding some without them. Also, http://www.vintfalken.com/free-full-perm-female-skin-textures/ there are some free PSD's for skin. I know that the eyelashes are on their own layer. You can download GIMP to use them. That way, you can pick and choose what you want.
  24. That's awesome! I'm not the poster but I gotta go snap that up quick!
