Actually if you know how internet works you would know that stopping someone from taking even from websites photos (even if you use how many fancy codes you want) is impossible but there is a way to limitate the phenomenous. to stop a criminal you must think with their mind, become like an actor and for a moment fit their shoes. They keep doing this cause there are illegal viewrers around that allow them to steal items For what I know meshes are a good way to get them ko cause they'd need to have pay info on file to upload them. If you have pay info on file you are more trackable, so punishable. What you 'd need at this point or also other victims like you would need to do is to start asking SL few things to limitate this phenomenous: 1) ask that only people with pay info on file could sell on marketplace 2) ask that only people with pay info on file could upload textures, sculptmap, sounds... Pay info on file is actually the only true and working method, in my opinion, to be sure 100% of the identity of a person, cause to verify the credit card they let you pay 1 dollar, if I remember well, it couldn't be faked. Of course this is not final solution but it would discourage many of them from Copybot attempts. A single spark will do nothing but all the sparks together can make a big burst that could make light in the darkness. This solution wouldn't kill the marketing ( as some bad tongues in bad faith would say) but it would sort the opposite effect. This because if there are more people with pay info on file, there are more people who could charge and spend money, it would also be good for LL cause once that one has got more than 5 acounts per household the other accounts would cost 3000 L. This would bring just benefits and no losses at all.

Check if you could unlink the link set and try to mod the items you want to then link again. Hovewer as I said the permission set sounds odd to me, if that's not a script in one of those prims doing this. Cause if a prim or a link set is set as mod copy it is no transf but if you take a prim or a link set and set it as mod no copy it becomes automatically no transf.

hmmm strange! if it is mod it should allow you to. however it could have somethig to do with the group that the maker used to rezz that item. It's always good to newer wear any group when building. I guess that there is nothing you could do but contacting the maker and telling about this iussue. what I find strange is that if you set an item to be mod then it should be least copy. Viceversa if I set an item as mod but no copy it automatically becomes transf. unless inside that item is a script that is making the whole prim or linkset nomod. However building with less permission as possible is not a bad thing but almost a must these days. It is also always good to not leave around prims with too many permissions over them cause of criminals around using hack viewrers, Look at how many stuff is around that they have stolen and if you inspect the maker you could read "linden" and say oh gosh what is happening. That's cause they can use full perm primitives to steal stuff and let it appear as the creator of the full perm primitive did that. Those pirates ( even if this would be an insult to the real romantic and honorable pirates who lived in nineteenth cenruy) can take items full perm made by linden that are in inventory library. That's why I wouldn't blame this maker to use tight permissions on the items that you've bought. Prudence is never enough!!!!

bot is an account like any other, but to be used like an automatic ro-bot it should be declared as bot on the secondlife site when you access your homepage you find a section dedicated to scripts agents or something like that. To login you can use a viewer for bot accounts. Check for this the wiki page for alternative viewers,don't use any other viewer out of that page or that is not secondlife standard viewer. Those viewer would alow you to give your bot avatar commands a way like when you do with an avatar that uses RLV. To keep it alwys live you can use not a normal pc nor rent any server but just buy your own .Actually the market offers some cheap solutions for home servers starting from 200 USD that it's not much and powerful enough to run a bot.

who has those powers? maybe there is a joker in the management ? ok jokes a part maybe this is something related to some script that those griefers use It might be some exploit that they found. For istance have you ever had on your sim griefers that would fill your parcel with unwanted objects even if you set no rezz? I don't post here the youtube links to not promove those lamers' stuff but look for them yourself on youtube and see, maybe they added in some lame viewer also this feature exploiting something. HUB or hud ? or an item that can be updated using their hub station like some SL items do? if an hud or an hub (meant as meeting place) those two answer full filled what you ask for. if the third hypotesis then you just go to their sim and follow the instructions they give there to use their hub to update the product. For istance I have some wings to update them I go to their place and wear them on their hub where they allow you to update and that's it. other items that need to be updated in this way for istance some body parts that I got, that will update if I go to the store, enter in their hub area where they have updater, rezz the product and check for updates. in any case it should be all written in their instructions notecard or in their store should be a board telling you what to do.

it could be due to the structure of your model. Check it see if it has too many n-gons and to many triangles( both things are not loved by the server). check also it there are not used vertices in the structure If your object is made by more parts try to link them before uploading( I got this message if I ever tried to upload to small parts not merged down together no matter if it was highor low polygons, it's something related to the size) Try also to clean cache next time thta you upload and clear settings in your uploader.

prolly the link was to some web page that infected your pc. maybe a java possibly cause java is the fast way to make script kiddie and lamers love it. I'd really suggest yo to uninstall in future the java virtual machine unless you really need it (it's full of holes more than a Swiss cheese ). Make a new accout and turn the page. Stay safer and if it can help I give you some tips. Don't use other viewers rather than SL linden lab viewer ( or if you need a third part viewer pick it from the officialwiki list) all the others not approved are lame software with keylogger inside. Never trust in links. Never touch nor open marketplace from links but let them tell you the name of the product and you look for it yourself if you can't decript it from the link they posted never open directly youtube links but read them and take the last number after the sign = then paste them in a previous link that yourself opened on your borwser just exchanging those numbers after the = Never visit if not necessary private blogs or sites ad if you do use proxies if you open accounts elsewhere on private fora or sites and you use your SL name don't use the same password never trusts in emails exchange (they can hide a lot of bad stuff in the headers and it's another exploitable wak point) open if you need those mails from another pc or a virtual space that you created just for that. Hi Raddulf. Are you sure that it was for your avatar and not maybe for some attachment scripts connected to the previous avatar you were wearing? maybe the sim has scripts limits. Internet in general and sl is full of oddities, so I wouldn't say that I don't belive you (negationism is the support and fertile ground of racism we all know that). However it is a must I'd ask you :do you have proofs , certain proofs that your ejections and ban were due to the skin that you were wearing? Without certain proofs you couldn't move such an heavy accuse. With this I don't mean that I don't belive you, as I said, just I want to help you more to let you avoid to make false steps and give someone even bigger power over you.

Hi ,Gin. Do you use the same ao for all your characters? maybe the flexy prim settings are the same but the movements of your avatats change so as consequence those flaggy prims move more or less according to your ao animations? try testing that prim/prims using the same ao.

No I haven't had such iussue lately, but do a test for your connection speed. If needed maybe reboot your internet gateway (modem router) this will prolly allign it better if something happened with your provider. www.speedtest.net is good to test your speed also run the ping test and see if there are any or to many packets lost. To load faster your inventory a trick that I use is to cut off the inventory from debug settings do advenced/showdebug settings there you type noinventorylibrary This will save you from loading your library each time that you clean your cache( lately that library is becoming huge andif you don't use those avatrs it's not rearly needed). Don't worry even if the inventory library is cut off you can still use some fetures like load test male and test female avatar. if you have also inworld lag then try this: try is to run SL in low settings turning on from advanced menu in graphics tab only Basic shaders Atmospèhere shaders Avatar impostors hardware skinning set ma particle count to 512 set also only object slider to max and set everything else to low , while all the other things must be unticked. From debug settings again type renderfarclip and set the draw distance to 40 typing there this renderfarclip set it to 40

then @ Medhue,Perrie and Phil wouldn't it be better, as I said above, to restrict the ability to build and sell to people that could be tracked by pay info on account? if they want to upload they must be trackable and as consequence punishable. actually building meshes is worth of it for the simple reason that those bad people with bad viewrers couldn't upload what they steal cause pay info are required. I'd ask LL to extend this to all the uploads of any sort also for picks. Pay info must be required also to sell/or openng a store. Austerity is the key They can put a photo in their profile but not upload texture, sculpt maps, animations sounds and so on without pay info on file same as it is already happening for meshes. Who would risk if FBI, RIA or cops could ring your bell? They would surely lose any interest in doing these crminal actions.

Hi ,Tiola. Don't worry if you're in good faith and if that's your original stuff, they'll go nowhere. Let them bother with it it just takes the time that it leaves. As maker myself I would also tell you as tip to be careful using kits of full perm stuff unless you know that they come from makers with reputations , don't use free or cheap builders kits (of sculpt , prims or meshes). Always always make yourself sure where they come from. Another tip that I feel to give you is never give away full perm primitives.. those nasty braggers out there lately could convert your prims into something that seems made by you when you never have done it, this is what they often do when we see official makers' stuff stolen and you check the maker of that item/s and see that it is a Linden ( that's cause they took the linden full perm primitives from library). Keep also handy the things you are accused of having copybotted and turn on the propiety window make a screenshot where it's shown the date and the name of creator, do the same also for your sculpt maps if you used any, this will be a good proof to show to LL and to any other. You have to known that around SL there are also unautorized self estabilished sheriffs who go around with fancy huds trying to find out if some item is copybotted, well they are twice lame: 1) cause they're not working for LL 2) cause those hud can fail really easy and I explain you why. If you're used to make sculpties with maya for example you could import in secondlife your whole sculpt set all at once with a thing named prim composer, What's worng with it, The bad thing is that even if you're the creator of those prims and even if you're the maker, all those prims would shown all the same date and time and this would be detected by those koddos hud as a cb attempt. Don't worry if you're in good faith LL is not that naive to punish you for somethng that you haven't done.

What viewers did you use and which one have you been using more. I still remember a resident who time ago was nagging in fora and in SL groups about her account compromised, she posted also detailed notecards with screenshot of her viewer . The fun part was that her viewer was not any of those in the official wiki list for sl, and doing some search with google putting the name shown in search, it came out that her viewerr was an hack lame viewer. Be careful that stuff can hide keyloggers. Buying a pc online is not a bad thing itself. As always when they want to purchase a pc I ask what do you want to dowith it? To be happy with your purchase you should start from this.Do you need an office pc, a gamer pc, a pc to run high end programs like designers stuff? About the possibility to ask pc's assembled online I'd suggest you to pick a serious company that would also tell you when the modding set that you chose is good or no. To assemble a pc you need a bit of hardware knowledge and informatic knowledge, if you are not addicted to works then just putting pieces together will let your pc turn on but it doesn't mean that you're using all the potentials of each single component. Building a pc sadly is not like when you assemble the pieces of the toys you find in your easter eggs. As in all the things as for human body the keyword assembling parts is harmony, they must work well together in harmony without bottle necks between a component and another. Therer are web sites and fora on web where they betatest pc and propose configurations for pc. I would take a look there, maybe propose your configuration and also listen what other users think about it. This fora is not the best place I belive to talk of tech stuff, also because to learn to assemble a pc it wouldn't be enough a thread or two but a few years experience and it would be better a forum dedicated exclusively to assembling and modding. simply remind her that she is doubly harrasing you : sheis giving you unwanted offers(that could raise the spamm definition if repeated over and over) and also that she is sexually harrasing you. try installing SL again, but first find your old setting and cache folders and delete them. Also check if you have active firewall or antivirus or other anti-things programs on your pc that might block it,then allow SL from there run also a test for your internet connection on www.speedtest.net or other sites like that. be sure that you're not logging in from a wifi and if you do try to log in once from a cabled pc connection (sl is not much friendly with wifi).

As abigail alredy told you I also found that even with messages to email you get them capped. The notecard could help they might be received with higher percentage.Plus many mail providers have a limit and if you add SL spamm to the other spamm you can fill it up in no time then you would lose messages the same.

If it was one or really few items missing maybe you could have used the ticket for lost items there must be one for this iussue if I remember well( unless chategories changed again). you may try just contacting LL. Try also to uninstall your viewer and all the others you have , install back only sl lindenlab viewer and see how it goes. Did you check your trash folder? are you sure that you haven't trashed them by mistake?

I have an itchy finger for derender/mute. derender doesn't mute but just hides that person and related avatar and prims ( good thing for prim hogggers lag makers)

In avination I saw beds made with mplv2 and it's not so far different from OS grid. Also in inworldz I saw beds working good with mplv2 so I guess they should work good, but if the scripts allow you that use you can check yourself, read first good the scripts disclaimer.
