  1. Hey man, welcome to the same old wreckage of a ship of all of us. I would suggest you to not give up because you can fix that, just like I did. I gave this answer in other posts here in the community, I'm sorry to repeat it again but I believe this is important for many of you, for all those people who faced my same difficulties. I struggled for 3 weeks, sent several messages to the Lindens without any respons, also called the support via phone from Italy and still nothing. I tried Age Verification again a couple of days ago ad finally it went through. Here my suggestion. Just go to the Age Verification page even if you are not in the USA like me and be careful to: if your surname is a compound surname like mine, for example De Niro, just write the surname as one word only, in my case I wrote exactly as DeNiro leaving no space in between the two words. I always tried using my identity card but always failed so I tried the italian version of Personal Identification Number, which in Italy is "codice fiscale" {fiscal code} and contains consonants of name and surname and birthday data numbers in it. Basically I believe every Country has a correspondance with one of the method included in the Age Verification form. Now, my surname is clearly wrongly reported, the space between the two words is important in fact. I kept the capital letters to try to avoid any complain but who can really complain me when is their fault only? The ridiculous part of this is that to fix that form should be enough to add a correct variable in the code behind it! I hope they are going to notice that at the Lab!!! I successfully age verified myself and gained my freedom finally. I still found no way to add any credit card yet because the relative submission button in Payment Info section seems missing totally. Unfortunately all the informations also on support pages need an update because they don't help at all.Also Manual Age >Verification process is a method gone out of date since the wisely {!} had the genial idea to move that option to Premium accounts only. So what to do? Here a valid working suggestion about how to fix that like I did.   4. Hello Blondin. You wrote you were going to help Mael fixing this annoying issues and you wrote as well you know a lot of non US customers are having the same. I'm one of those fellows who strive for age verifying their own accounts unsuccessfully in ages. No way to assign a Credit Card to fill my Payment Info, no PayPal... no Age Verification working process. Someway still unbelievable! The issue is a giant serious one from my professional point of view. A disservice like this is a suicide in terms of profits making and commercial credibility. How many customers are you Lindens losing this way? How many unsatisfied adults who are used to work hard and desirous to find in SL a moment of relax and eventually fun find out they have to feel the same frustrations that have to face at work {as I guess you all do as well} even when they are supposed to be eager to escape from that frustration? You are customers as we all are... let's figure out you face the same difficulty trying to use Blue Mars {daring example, I know... I just named one of the greatest disappointments on mine... development slow like hell then crashed to focus on smartphone market... well... I wish they did... they chose to focus on iPhone only... so lame! One suggestion here... please consider seriously giving new life to a Second Life for smartphone ...I collapsed trying to find any solution for that! Sorry if I got on this.}. Well... you face the same frustration about that and what do you think? What would you do in that case? I bet you would go furious about that! So I am. I'm tired, I simply wanted to assign a payment method to finally buy all the L$ I need and feel free to go around Second Life free like a kite but that's which is a right of mine is gone and there's no way to find any solution. Payments Methods and Age Verification should be... and must be the first functional part of all your lovely product. It must work as fine as a swiss clock. I don't know if you did exactly your own job, I don't know if fixing this is your direct responsibility but I guess not, and I believe this can't be something you have to fix on your own, this can't be all on your back. I ask you to help me with my Age Verification as you did, I guess you did, with Mael but most of all I ask you to do something more important and not for me but for all yours customers and for Second Life's sake... solicit your colleagues and whoever has responsibility of all this fundamental and vital part of SL to finally find a working solution to this issue, bringing back a Manual Age Verification process for all customers as once it was and not for only Premium accounts. And to restore as soon as possible PayPal compatibility as well. I posted a long comment on Answers here {I warmly suggest you to read that as well... these quotes from an answer I got - thank you Pawnee... - invite you to do that: "...It is a shame that the relevant Lindens probably won`t see your post as you have covered all of the frustrations that those of us not resident in US are experiencing lately."} where I just tried to figure out some bad scenarios which can make you laugh but also not... because are indeed very serious. All your new customers outside the States are having the same trouble and ignore how to defend their own rights about "good service". I meet them everyday, they feel like strangers in a strange land, without help or direction. Creating this alt I realized how hard is a noob's second life! In that long message I've been also ironic, sarcastic mostly, about all this. Now I lost that good mood, frustration became deeper. I'm not a poor boy complaining for a broken toy, I don't need human pity. I have already years of experience in SL... some was good some was so bad, I learnt what I can expect from SL and what I cannot. Strong of that knowledge - even if disillusioned a bit as well - simply fight for my rights, also the smallest ones. My rights are rights of everyone. Even yours.   5. It's been around a week or longer already that I created this account but both Billing Info system and Age Verification system are out of work. I searched for the option for assigning a credit card to my account but there was a total missing of that. Also PayPal option seems all gone. They say it's gonna be back but in the grid Status pages I read this:"[Resolved 12:16pm] All website features are functioning normally at this time.[Posted 13 Apr 2011 1200 pm] Some of our website features, including new account creation, are currently unavailable. Are you joking, guys? You f***** up {self censored here} the whole system and you come out telling us all website features are functioning normally... seriously? Does that mean that they "normally don't have to work so all it's perfect as it is?Dear Lindens, I believe you are kamikaze whom normally I admire and defend {I believe Viewer 2 - till before web profile were introduced... will you ever give us an alternative in the same viewer? I had to re install the previous release which still works great in ultra settings with enhanced lightning system... alternative viewers become so unstable when shadows are active... Viewer 2 doesn't and really looks amazing - is an excellent evolution from the old viewer... easier and rich as functionality, more adult and classy as look&feel.Innovations are part of SL great nature, in my opinion} but you really did put it out of the basket this time, saying that in an elegant form... you know what I mean.How many new customers outside the States are you losing with this big hole in your system? In the best of the assumptions they will go on living inside SL as eternal noobs, collecting freebies for a whole lifetime, putting roots under Lindens' trees and jumping from a lucky chair to another... some will also keep going around with "free willies" {dolphins?} harassing chicks in general areas affirming to be teens who cannot be age verified and losing into an adult world! Not forgetting about those "patience champs in a bots-alike disguise" for 1L$ per hour...Sorry for the awkward sarcasm but I never get angry and this time ain't no exception... which doesn't mean I won't hold myself from strongly invite you to fix such a horrible issue else new customers - as I am doing as well - will refuse, categorically refuse to upgrade to Premium to finally manually age verify since you moved that option to Premium accounts only... also because being unable to find the way to assign a credit card or a PayPal account they have no way to become premium at all! And they will directly leave Second Life. Knowledge Base, Support Portal and phone Customer Care service {more than 5 minutes call abroad from Italy to the States for solving just nothing!} are totally unreliable on this subject right now.I hope you start an internal investigation to see responsibilities and to finally find a solution in quickest times. Or are you so eager to commit commercial suicide? I end this message with my proactive attitude launching a couple of proposal/suggestions which I know are going to be completely ignored by I cannot go against my nature... so here they are:Web profiles - Already many told you about that but I join the choir... is an impossible mission to put web-profiles just optional so people can choose between web profiles and traditional ones? Can that be really so hard to be accomplished? Is such an option really so untenable in terms of servers costs saving that you really cannot follow that path?Marketplace - I love it really even if still not reached excellence or something alike... to get even closer to its perfection I suggest three improvements, some very easy:Subcategories adds on as Poses {Static}, Animations {Animated}, Sculpted Items {as option inside apparels for example... you still get plenties of "old fashioned" normal prims-made shoes... vintage is good sometimes but searching sculpted becomes such a nightmare... I believe women will appreciate the move!Speedy Buy buttons to add items directly from results pages to accelerate the choice for customers who already know the item on sale or who doesn't need to open the item's profile again, or simply to add to the chart items with variations or from a same creator.Sorry if I ran out on tangent but once I get a chance to say my own I take it going along with that.   6. Hi. I'm from Italy, 37yo and I'm an alt. My main account is manually age verified a long time ago. I tried to age verify this alt {I prefer calling it "my 3rd Life"} several times feeling really pissed off for the time lost trying. Support on this matter is totally broken, they say to use the Support Portal to file a ticket but Age Verification is disappeared from the system. I would like to assign a credit card or my PayPal account but also those options are totally missing, I believe Lindenlab totally **bleep**ed up the whole system leaving old and new customers' needs unattended. I have no intention to become premium {it seems manual age verification became a Premium accounts' only feature and that's all against any correct idea of public service, a sort of classism. I always defended LindenLab even when people seem to not respect their hard work but since web profile came out disappointment started to grow in me and I really wonder where they are going. I felt the need of an alt after several months of absence from SL just because tired of how things were going, now i'm seriously thinking to leave Second Life definitely till they resolve to listen to their own customers, we all want the best for SL. They are the leaders in the metaverse, also Blue Mars wich seemed to be a promising alternative **bleep**ed up going onto iPhone customers target. So what's Linden's intentions? Are we paying any form of side effect of a sense of supremacy which allows them to treat us this way? I seriously hope they gonna fix this if I call them via phone as i did already a couple of times in the past. Even if calling from Italy to the States is a price too high to pay... and I'm not talking about money. it's a matter of respect. ilove the way they innovate Sl but such big mistakes as web profiles { is that really so hard to keep that as an option to the profiles we were used to?} and this absurdity of issues with age verification and payment methods setting? I feel like a prisoner, I'm not so eager to go to adult zones but this is an untolerable deprivation of my own freedom, I need my freedom to go wherever I want, whenever I want. Any suggestion or help to find a way to break these chains will be eagerly appreciated. We are all always on the same ship. Mitakuye Oyasin!
