Usually this happens when someoen has blocked you so you can't see when they're online. However, since you've experiencing this with your entire friends list, I think it's just another SL glitch. Try clearing your cache and restarting your system afterwards and that might help you out.

Eu tenho o mesmo problema, eu não posso ligar ao simulador. Eu acho que é um problema com o SL em si, porque eu não tenho sido capaz de encontrar todas as soluções para o meu problema. Não se preocupe muito, tenho certeza Linden Labs vai resolver o problema em breve.

I have been searching the support pages and I've tried uninstalling, re-installing, everything, but it still says "DNS could not resolve..." My internet connection is fine and it's actually pretty fast, but everything except SL is working. This has been going on since October and I still haven't received any help about it. EDIT: To Innula Zenovka, I tried doing what you suggested, but I'm still getting the exact same message. I even tried tinkering with my proxy settings to see if that was the problem, but so far I'm still getting nothing.
