Places like Ahern, Waterhead, Korea1 and Violet are rowdy. They like the RL pub on Friday after work. If you want to survive them then have to be like the Sally lady. Just help the young ones (the newbies) and leave the sinners and heathens to anothers tender mercy (:

If they Mod then the friend can edit them to be physical and push them onto next parcel or offworld. If next parcel is Object Entry and Autoreturn On then owner will get back. If pushed offworld, like on a standalone sim then maybe will get back sometimes depends. If owner been banned by exbff and exbff just being a prat bout not returning the stuff then can escalate. Friend can edit to make physical then unlink and leave for prat to clean up one prim at a time (:

I live on Route 9. For 1 month now. I log on every day. Both kinds of vehicles come past quite regular. The pods and the grunge ones. Sometimes the grunge ones go past upside down and sometimes they get stuck at the north end. Not all the time, just sometimes. Was a big mess up of them one day last week like all piled up on the north sim crossing, and I lost my kittycats kitten off my parcel at same time. It just went poof. I get back in my Inventory next day so was ok. But I was a bit upset at the time bc I thought I lost forever and I only got one. Dont know why it poof exactly it just did while I was there with 2 of my friends.. In the 1 month so far I've only ever seen one person using the road. He was riding his own motorbike and he stop for a chat. Ive not seen anyone on the automatic ones yet. Except for me when i sit to see what is when I first saw them. The pods go ok but the grunge ones a bit lame. PS. I saw the tube ride thingy at Zindra and went for a ride on it. Thats cool. Id be happy if that went past my place and I could jump on it. Or maybe a tramcar.

On the 2 times I filed a ticket I got an email from LL saying that they closed them and if there was anything else they could help me with them it be ok for me to open another ticket lol. But I at least got a reply both times /hehe(: On the 1 time I ever filed a AR on another real person who shot me with a cager I never heard back from LL ever. On the 1 time I AR Governor Linden for not setting auto-return on her parcel next to mine and letting it turn into a junkyard, I never heard back from that either. But Someother Linden musta read it bc next day the parcel was empty and autoreturn was turned on. \o/ Only other AR I ever did was on a screamer object that was stuck on a 16m by the road. Thatother Linden must read that as well bc it was gone 3 days later. So \o/ again (: So ya, ticket usually get some knda reply eventually. AR never. I think is none of my business really to know what LL might do to other person based on my AR. Like what happens if I dont like the penalty? Big dwama me !!! I prob write them back a big moan about how sucky they are and how I been justice denied and how it made my pet fish sick as well (: At the time that guy shot me I was quite new. If was up to me at the time I filed the AR I woulda permabanned him, his whole family incl his Nanna and their dog, and taken his cats off him if he had any. So is prob best is not up to me (:

That one been here like forever even on V1. Can get the notice attachment by opening group and finding in list of notices. Buy ya I agree. Is really annoying to click on something that indicates you can have by clicking and then have it not give you.

LL never tell you what action they may have taken against any other person that you AR.

If I could have any extra benefit as a Premium member then I would like an acknowledgement every year on my rez birthday. Like a present. Ya this. I upgrade my account to Prem bout 3 weeks ago after nearly 9 months. I get the annual bc was the best deal. if I had waited a bit longer then I would have done what you said, get the 1/4 special and then go annual after that. Bummer for me. oh well (:

I agree with LL not deleting the account, is dumb to do that. I think though that people should have to pay any amount that they owe before they can have access to the account again, even if is downgraded to Basic. Some people's RL changes on them sudden like they lose their job and just can't pay anymore so their account default. But later on they get another job and would pay owed amount to get account back, but can't bc the account been deleted by LL. Even more dumb this.

Before you buy a parcel is always best to turn on property lines so can see exactly what you buying: World \ Show \ Property Lines. Also best to hide all objects so can see the whole parcel without anything on it, as sometimes a parcel can have another parcel inside its boundary owned by someone else: Advanced \ Rendering Types \ Volume Advanced \ Rendering Types \ Tree

I don't use the NVidia Control Panel for SL. Just the SL viewer settings.The Hardware settings in Preferences | Graphics | Hardware. Anistropic and Anti-aliasing off. Vertex Buffers on The 3.03 Beta runs a little bit faster than 3.0.0, Shadows like 12-17 in quiet places and like 4-5 in the mud . Am using NVidia driver set 280.26. SL report it as 8.17.0012.8026. My lappy only a i3 cpu. I not recommend anyone buy one like mine as can get better spec ones for same/less money now. Is hard to recommend a lappy or desktop even for anyone bc I think SL is more about the network connection, modem, ISP yada yada, when is problems than any other reason. But if I was buying a new one for me then I prob get another HP, at least a i5 and whatever best NVidia I could afford. Some people like ATI cards but I not have any experience with them. I would get 32bit Windows as well, as SL (like lots other programs) not really better on 64bit, maybe next year when they had more experience with this,

HTTP uses more datablocks to send/acknowledge textures than UDP overall. Is not the frame rate that affected so much as time taken to complete transfer over network. So if you have a slow network connection like dsl or wifi then can improve the speed at which (the whole image) data is transferred if switch HTTP off. But, UDP not have transfer checking as good as HTTP so can mean that sometimes the texture never completely arrive and will stay blurry or even grey..

Changing the compostion of the Welcome Areas so that they are more helpy to new ppl won't stop older avatars congregating at them. Just have to go to Help Island Public, Orientation Island Public, Violet and Korea to see this. I think that for new people, say upto 3 months, who haven't yet set their Home, it would be better if when they click the Home button on the viewer, or get killed or damaged inworld, they get sent to date-restricted Welcome Island Publics rather than to any old mainland WA filled with oldbies who mostly go there for reasons other than helping new ppl.

I have a HP lappy with a NVidia 230M, 4G RAM, Windows 7 Home. On Viewer 3.0 is ok upto Atmospheric Shader. Can get over 60fps in quiet places. With only Basic Shader can get 17-24fps in really busy places like Ahern where can be over 100 avatars sometimes. On my home sim where is lots of sculpties then is 24-30fps when all is downloaded. Can also do mesh but is about 3-4fps slower altogether. Is not good with Shadows as fps is low, like 0 and crash in really busy places and only 6-12 in quiet places. Also has probs with alpha textures with Shadows on anywhere and underwater with Atmospheric Shader on. Looks like a really really bad hair day then (: Also have to turn off Anistropic and Anti-aliasing in Hardware settings to make it go faster. If I was buying a new puter then I prob get a NVidia 560 or equal.

Sorry If a club is maxxing the sim 24/7 then: DANCING BOTS !!! Owner thinks they make the club more attractive if is fake ppl dancing in there. Some clubs have heaps of them. Easiest way to spot dancing bots: They not dancing on the main danceball, they on dance poseballs, so they cant be pushed. If they not on poseballs then if you keep chatting to them and they not say anything back for ages then bump them. If they not complain then BOT !!! MINING BOTS !!! Owner has put in a money giver like a free to play exploder. Is some ppl play them for real but is mostly bot runners mine them. CONTEST BOTS !!! Owner puts in a contest board. If owner dont know what they doing then it gets farmed by bot runners. I not have any problem with bots on private sims, can max it death if they want. But if is on mainland and is stopping other people and friends from coming onto their own land that on same sim then ya.

If the peeps who use pre3 TPVs not want to see mesh donuts then can derender and chat to the tag. (:

Is more that the code was changed heaps underneath when LL moved from V1 to V2..3. So retrofitting the UI so is backwards compatible would take a lot of time to do. I realise they maybe should have done this at the start but they didn't and is just the way it is now. So best to work out how to go forward now. I think the best way is to make a UI that is full-mod with dock windows, menus and button bars. So can make menus and buttons bars with just what you want on them. Dock windows that float outside of main window and can dock with other windows and dialogs including the main one on any side or top and bottom. Is also not easy to do this so looks the same on Windows, Linux and Mac. Some of this is already in QT that LL uses for UI but is still a lot of work to do. Maybe LL will do in a V4, hope so anyways. With colors and skins then is already possible to do, Hitomi Tiponi has already made heaps of Starlight skins for V2..3 so would prob also make for a V4. With a full-mod V4 and skinning then would be easy to retrofit a V1-style interface, except for stuff that has been moved to web services like Search, Profiles and Inventory. Some people don't like the web services way but I think is an engineering and cost decision, as web services can be put on places like Amazon and Live, like mirrors. Means stuff can be moved closer to people in other countries and will go faster for them. Web services also means that LL doesnt need to make their own server farms outside of the USA. I think they already starting to think about doing this with some things like HTTP Textures and HTTP Inventory.
