    Thank you for that, checking them out now.   2. Hi, I have created a mesh head and it's suffering from the windlight/mesh parts neck seam issue. I'm aware of the limitations of the engine and neck blends, but i'm curious is there some sort of work around that doesn't include a neck blend yet? I was checking out other heads and Lelutka seems to have found a fix. I also read other posts here on the forum and understand it could be my vertex normals but I have never been able to find a good tutorial or help on how to do this to even see if it works. My head and skin match, I made them both myself as well so I know there isn't a seam on the skin itself. 

    I use autodesk maya and blender.

  3. Hi, i'm looking for a scripter that can get my ferris wheel to spin and load cars properly. I would like for it to spin for 5 minutes then stop for 2 minutes to let people on & off, then start back up again. I have the base spinning fine with this script http://digigrids.free.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Ferris_Wheel but i'm getting an error  when I try to get the cars in. So if anyone can get this script to work or one of their own that'd be great.

  4. Hello, i'm looking for someone who can help me make a script for a working ferris wheel. I have the ferris wheel, the car, and a ticket booth all meshed. I would like for it to spin about 3 times, stop, wait 1 minute and start spinning again. Even better if someone can sit in a car first, click a button to start, it spins a couple times & then stops. There are 12 cars in total. Snapshots below

  5. Hello, i'm working on animating a bento head and am running into an issue when trying to make the blinking animation. I'm using Avatstar 2 animating the default avatar included with it (using the default avatar because for some reason i could not import .dae files into blender, they just wouldn't show up in the scene)

    For some reason its clipping inward to my eye instead of rotating downward like it should. If anyone has an answer as to why this is and how i can fix it please help <3

  6. Hi everyone, 

    Im trying to rig a mesh head to the bento skeleton. Once i smooth bind it and copy weights i get this error when i try and paint skin weights : https://i.gyazo.com/0595cbb24c64e800cd53ad020b4fcde6.png

    Ive copied weights the same way in other scenes before with no errors. I checked the bound skeleton and the mFace bone is there.

    Any idea what this could be?

    Thank you very much for this thread and all your hard work, ive been reading through a bit trying to get the gist of whats been going on but its so much :P

    Im working on mesh heads for bento and am having an issue i was hoping to get a bit of help on.

    Im using Autodesk Maya 2014 and have the MayaStar 5.0 plugin installed.

    Ive downloaded the bento female skeleton from the wiki page and have tried using the one included with mayaStar, however im getting an error whenever i try to paint weights.

    Also when i tried uploading the head into SL the include weights button is greyed out.

  8. Im having this extremely weird Alpha issue with a head im making when i turn on advanced lighting.

    It looks as if something is sitting on top of the mesh or with alpha settings turned on and is causing these areas to glitch. It goes away completely when advanced lighting is turned off.

    Ive tried unlinking all the extra layers from the head but its still there. I've taken off everything im wearing including HUDs, alpha layers, clothing layers, etc. 

    It also only appears when the head is worn not when its rezzed.

    Im completely stumped. Has anyone else had something like this happen or have any idea what could be causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated <3

  9. Will do, however im not sure if he will send me a full perm copy since i paid close to nothing to have it made to begin with. I believe he's selling a version of it now on marketplace. He has done all the updates and requests i've asked for for free and seeing as im very close to releasing my product i dont want to pay to get a completely new HUD script made and deal with rescripting. 

  10. Hi, im looking for a script that allows me to add to my HUD the function to change the Alpha mode from Alpha Blending to Alpha Mask and control the Mask Cutoff amount as well. I've seen it done a few times for mesh head lashe so im assuming its at least possible :P 

  11. So far the ones i've checked out (The Mesh Project, Catwa, Lelutka) dont have the glitch issue, so im assuming its the way the layers are layered or the way something is attatched. 

    Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how i can make the issue better if not completely fix it :P 

    I cant accept letting it be at this point knowing it can at least be better lol 

  12. Hi everyone,

     

    So im having a kinda major issue when it comes to the layering / alpha issues on my mesh heads. At the moment my heads are cut up into pieces to allow mix & match features however i will be switching this to faces with the next update so it wont matter.

    Anyway, the issue im having has to deal with the Eyebrows, Eyeshadow & Eyelashes layers.  All of which need to work with alpha textures for applier creators to make their own features. There are multiple mesh heads on the market that do this without any issues from what i have seen, however mine are stuck with the alpha glitching/fighting issue.

    * Green = Eyebrow Layer (cutout seperate mesh)

    * Blue = Eyeshadow Layer (cutout seperate mesh)

    * LightBlue = Eyelashes (seperate mesh)

    Sometimes the eyeshadow simply wont show up at all due to the lashes being in front of them. 

     

    So far i have tried combining the eyelash layers and eyeshadow layers with no fix. I have also tried seperate faces and having them all combined to no avail. I have also tried changing the eyelashes to Alpha Masking, however the clumpy look isnt really appealing to myself or my customers. I have tried putting the eyebrow layer on Alpha Masking and it doesnt help much when it comes to the eyeshadow glitching.

    So im wondering if anyone has any ideas/suggestions as to how i should be layering my alpha layers so this doesnt happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated, ive tried over and over for a fix on this.

  13. Ahh i understand what your saying, i think i may not have explained what im trying to do well enough lol

    The selected nose i have in the photo is an overlay alpha layer i need to sit directly in front of the head for things like freckles, beauty marks, etc. 

    Im not trying to change the shape of the original nose to this one.

    The issue comes up when i have 10 different heads each with 10 emotes. I need an alpha overlay nose to sit on each one and i need the cut out of it to be exactly the same for each emote, each head. Each head & emote have slight differences because of the mouth positioning moving the nose slightly up or down so each one needs its own nose alpha shape.

    So in the photo the head behind it isnt the base its a seperate emote im trying to make the nose alpha for. So i need the cut of the 2nd nose alpha to be exactly the same as the 1st nose alpha. 

    The thing im trying to figure out is, is there some kind of shortcut or feature in Maya that will allow me to copy the shape of the nose alpha so i can easily cut out the rest of the face for the other nose alphas. 

    I hope that makes more sense 

     

  14. Hi everyone!

    Im working on a series of Mesh Heads which requires alot of tedious work in maya. I have 10 heads all with 10 emotes. In order for the heads to work with mix & match options they need to be chopped up in pieces. Most of the pieces are easy to cut out since i have pre cut the edges on the base head however a few of them are more intricate and can be time consuming if i have to do it for every headshape/every emote. 

    The question i have is, is there a way in Maya 2014 to copy a cut or selection from one item to another?

    The nose is the piece i have cut out already on one of the emotes. I need to cut the nose out exactly the same way on the other 9 emotes. If there is some way to do this in maya wihout going in and doing it by hand it would greatly speed up the process.
