What's hot? What't the point of looking hot if the man can't even hold a proper conversation? You know what I think is hot? A guy who doesn't go AFK in the middlle conversation.. a lot! Heck.. I've had more engaging conversation with newbies than some older avatars. They thought that good skin and AO with a few good clothes on their avatar will make them the hottest guy in the block... but their response time to a simple chat conversation is worse than the lag itself. They think that all the female avatars ever want was to go to ballrooms with gravity defying gowns in exchange for a little something something on their latest MLP rug. But the only thing they can mutter was "You look beautiful tonight.... " and then a long pause... You asked them if they've been to some places in Second Life and all they can say, "I've been busy in my sim, I don't go out much...." long pause again. :matte-motes-dont-cry: So please guys, just because you look hot DOES NOT MEAN you are HOT. Have you asked the person you circled her name in Red for everyone to see (which is wrong by the forum policy standard, btw) if she asked for Bungie's permission or not? What is the real issue here? It seems to me you are making the assumption that this particular Linden employee uploaded the object for the sole purpose of crediting it to her name. It is an open area, but a test area is a test area.. unless there is some unspoken competition between content creators in Aditi of who could make the best mesh, I see no reason why a person wants to upload another person's creation for testing. Besides, you don't really know why she uploaded it in the first place... she might be testing the security part of the grid of possible mesh infringment in the future. If Linden could afford another domain for testing, they would have not used the communal area for testing.

Probably just a pragmatic solution but it will do just in case your gf found herself outside your house. Keep a chair in the house, she can always position her camera into the house, right click and sit. She'll be right in the house. Locking a house doesn't prevent someone from going into the house. It just won't allow anyone to open the door. FYI: If you set the land to limited access then you will need to put her name to the access list. Also, there might be a time when you will set your home location to a certain coordinate in your house. Just make sure it is not outside of the house unless you intended to do so.

I used megaprims primarily for sculpties. They tend to be much better as far as LOD is concerned. Texture alignments can be a little tricky depending on the path cut but it will improve with my own experience and practice. When buying for a set of objects, furniture, house, etc... It is also quite important to let buyers know that those items were built using megaprims and they can modify, at their own risk. Using megaprims as part of your selling items may or may not be lucrative depending on the level of knowledge of the buyers when it comes to building and prim options. Outdoor structures like a house, trees or plants will usually have no or minimal issues with megaprims. It is when less knowledgable buyers (like yours truly) who bought megaprim objects thinking they could use it in a confined space will end up getting frustrated. for its no modifiable perms without realizing it would do them more harm.

Hey Jinny, You are not alone at all. In fact I am in my weary state right now and this is why I am here in the forums... rejuvinating.

If there are still prims left why not go ahead and landscaped it now before the mall owner used up all the prims. So the owner did moved it up on the sky? that should solved the ugliness factor. Giant meatball is easy, create a megasphere and add fire particle script in it. Take any photos you can find from the web of minced meat and add it to the sphere. Voila! your giant meatball on fire. If you are low on prims already, build a giant Obelisk that is worthy of SL Guiness Book of Record of 'The Tallest Structure in SL Built on an Abandoned Land'. The mall owner might be a creative person and built her mall around the structure but that's when you put your giant meatball back in and you now can even call it A Giant Meatball on A Spit. .

I am in total agreement with Qie, OP did say that it was a huge land mass so landscaping it in a tasteful way may do the community a favor. Think of a garden with the mall in the middle or an ugly shack surrounded by beautiful meadows. The idea is to used up all the prims so no more ugly prims being created. but the griefer in me still thinks a giant meatball of fire is a quick solution to get rid of the mall out of sight fast. God forbid if the mall owner starts putting in Lucky Chairs that spits out every 10 Seconds.

Just wondering, have anyone of you tried age verification using other types of document other than Passport? I've heard that some people were not able to do this with thier passport but able to do so with their national ID card. Maybe you should try all the variables given on the list for Identification.

When you started the thread and you defined what Bliss was I was in agreement with you. But the cynic in me tells me that it won't take long before this would turn into a love thread and it did.. lol... But it holds true, people defined Bliss when they think they have reach the perfect moment at the right time. I thought this might be a good place to post since most you are posting pictures of couples dancing... teehee... How do I define Bliss. My idea of perfection is being in the nature. That would mean green lush countryside, smell of spring flowers, the sound of gentle waves, crickets at night, early songs of the morning birds, the smell of after rain, the sweetness of wild berries. I also experienced moment of Bliss listening the laughter of my family in RL while having our usual morning breakfast with fresh breads and milk and bright morning light. Bliss when I was sitting on top of a hill overlooking the sea while having my special one in RL hugging me from behind, nuzzling my neck and whispered sweet nothing to my ear and the fresh smell of his colonge. Bliss is when I am at peace with myself, with nothing to worry, no obligations, no pretense and as real as it is. Bliss isn't just what you perceived in your mind, Bliss to me can only be truly achieved when all 5 senses are met... and it that sense, Bliss is Real Life.

I dunno... I think people forget that if SL still surviving for the next 8 years, it will be loaded by a much younger generation that grew up in the 80s & 90s than the 70s and backwards. Trend will change, mind set will change. What you see now as "Nuuu..nu..nu..nu..nu.nuuuuuu" might be the only thing in the near future. SL is currently dominated by much older generations. I see more people in their 40s and older here than people around my age and younger...Rockstar, Vampires, Bikers, Pirates, Victorian, your usual Suits and Tuxs Kens and the overtly popular cookie cutter Barbie girls in their phletora of come-sex-with-me attires are so the olden era and currently roaming free like the saduccees in SL shoving down on other residents throat that they, too, need to be like them. A small percentage of players in SL decided to be different and they get shot right in head for doing so? This will change...

You have two choices here: 1. Linden home + 512m + 117 prims allowance. You won't be able to take the house away it's stuck with the land but the 117 prims is not counted on the house prim counts. No need to search for a land or buy it, no monthly fee/tiers. 2. Get your own first 512m of land without monthly fee/tiers but you need to buy it first. You get 117 prims allowance still but your house and whatever you else you put in here will be counted in that 117 prims of yours. Good thing.. you get the house you want, bad thing... your house may be over the prim limit so be careful when you are buying one.. make sure you have enough prims left for your furnitures. If I were you, i'll take the first one just to get a test with actually owning something in SL without making more commitments.

Shoes are overated both in SL and RL! I don't care much for sculpted feet or painted nails... let alone the HUD. I say go barefeet, don't wear nothing. A woman who will swoon and fainted if they don't have a pair of shoes to match with their skirt is a woman who has never walked on a soft freshly trimmed lawn or walking about in the house with bare feet. I might want to just create a new alt with the nick AGirlWithNoShoes and see if I'll get more attention from the men than amana just to prove that NO One really cares what shoes you are wearing.

Oh boy... why do people don't follow instructions?? Anyways... Premium Membership and promises of Free Linden Home is TRUE. You just need to read the instruction on your account website. Your house is waiting for you.. it is not a lie. With Premium you get a land and a house together for free. If you want just the Land, you get a free tier of 512m but you will still need to search for available land and purchase it. But once you bought that land its yours with no extra montly fee.

Why don't you show us what you have built and someone might want to let you stay for free on their land. You don't have to have a premium account to buy a land in Second Life unless you are not willing to cough out some lindens. Sandbox is a good place to practice your buildings, you wont need a land of your own. If you want a free place to stay check the profile of Emerson Fray or type Hotel Greenspire. He likes to build and welcomes anyone without a home to come and stay at his place. No hidden fees what so ever!

Whatever you do.. don't buy anything just yet! Get to know how to retrieve your items from the inventory (Check your 'Object' folder)... knows how to set your 'Me' settings.. and Get yourself Age verified. The best part of being an Adult in SL, is that you don't have to be an Adult!
