Note that this is not a complaint. The purpose of this thread is merely to spark a casual, intellectual discussion. If anything, this could be a thread to stir up some good alternative ideas. ._. I appologize in advance for the trolls and irritable people that will, inevitably, cause this discussion to lose it's fun and draw this thread to a close, this being the internet and all. I, personally, do not have an income, and, thus, a bank account. Due to this, I do not have a "card" of anytype, nor a paypal. I understand that LL uses payment info to have a way to track me down for uploading a mesh that is copyright protected; I have no problem with this. I just wish they were able to have an alternative method of doing this in situations like mine (where I do not have such information to provide). I do understand the difficulty of this because only the post office really knows where you are, aside from your bank (at least in the United States.) What are your thoughts on this subject?

Thank you, this is as I expected. :3 However, seeing how $L are a type of "real" currency (due to having actual monetary value), I see where the confusion of this question happens. Personally, I earn my $L in game, thus, I do not have to pay for it myself. ^^

I understand that you can buy $L. This is not necessarily what I mean. Let's say the upload costs for a mesh model are $L10 and I have that much $L. Will it charge me anything other than the $10L to upload the model?

I am pretty sure you do not have to pay real money to upload Mesh, but someone in the sim always insists that I am wrong about this. So I'm asking here. I know you need payment info on file (which I feel is crap, but I've heard some good arguments for it so I'm letting it go (meaning I will not debate this), but the upload cost is in $L and less than an equivalent amount of even one cent in most cases. This is why I am certain that they would not be charging real money. However, I've gotten enough people saying both yes and no to this question that I would prefer to ask here.
