  1. gold hunt is something you can do I've done it before be warned making one linden takes a LOT OF TIME
  2. That's a little harsh Storm. After all they could be dating in between those things. no need to be judgmental.
  3. It's hard starting out. I mean once you have a bigger wardrobe it's not sooo hard to win money at dance contests but starting out I would just look for freebies on flicker an such. most of the camping sites and skill games for earning money simply aren't worth your time. TBH the easiest way to get money is to simply buy some witha credit card. if you can a fford like 5 bucks to get your started might be worth it.
  4. I'm pretty sure you could NEVER play sl on a nook. but I hear lumiya works on tablets so who knows.
  5. Hey Yeah I got that EXACT HAIR but in blue from the Crazy ass hair hunt. Very Cute in person to. It's From Tekeli-li and it's called Hathor. Here's the LM http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tekelili/133/123/24 Edit: OOps looks like some one beat me to it.lolz
  6. Coby Foden wrote: I guess it depends a lot on how close one's own shape is to some standard size. For me the problem has been mostly that even if the clothing fits well in general, the top part is often too loose leaving clear gap between the chest and the garment. (I don't like to increase the size of those two things hiding under the clothing... :smileytongue: ) Anyway I have found some great looking and well fitting mesh clothes. :smileyhappy: But it hasn't been easy, it's been lots of work, visiting lots of shops, trying on lots of demos. I geuss I could see that. I do tend to be slightly more leaniant on moding my shape to fit a garment then most also but I adjusted to be closer to standred (tiny adjustments at most) when mesh first came out. So I geuss my point was yeah it's possible to fit the clothing. I still wish they'd come out with those mesh deformers though like everyone else I'm sure.
  7. I got that Exact same script today except they asked for 250L what fun I will admit it was entertain to pretend to have a convo with them since I had nothing better to do at the time.lolz
  8. Very True I'm not going to claim the contests are always entirely fair just that you can make money from them witha little luck
  9. Oh I forgot to mention winning contest in clubs can help you earn a few lindens...
  10. The place where you saw you can mop the floors for money is called a camper. They pay VERY VERY little for the hour. Like 1l an hour. The best way to make money in game is to either get a RL job and buy lindens, sell something that people need, or look for employment in clubs.
  11. I really haven't had this much of a problem with mesh 9 times outta ten a M fits my shape.
  12. I dunno I can agree with a few points especially 4 and 5. People in SL are really protective of the real life identity and resistant to change. Good or bad I won't say for sure for fear of being attacked here but I will say it is just true. That said weither sl is dead or not I think time will tell but from what i hear it's not looking so bright and sunny right now.
  13. If you need a friend feel free to message me. Alsoyou don't really need a home to be happy in SL I was homeless when I first joined and was perfectly fine. I can help you find a place to set a home point if you want but basically you don't really need a house to play sl
  14. From personal experience I think what keeps people into opensim on sl is that there are more people on SL. But that's jsut from my own personal experience I can't speak for everyone.
  15. you can get it right here: http://www.gimp.org/
  16. is the alpha layer loading for you? It could be an issue that the alpha layer your wearing isn't loading on your viewer for some reason 'cause it's deffinatly not loaded in that pic. Not sure how to fix that issue though
  17. Those shoes you won't need to worry as it looks like they don't have mesh/sculpted feet. That said even if it did most things with sculpted/mesh body parts have a hud to change the skin tone on them to match your current skin. So there's generally no need to worry about matching skin to item bought in sl.
  18. yeah I geuss I could see that it's just the way you put it it seemed like you were saying no one uses them. Yes I agree mesh is easier to do. I upload mesh on open sim all the time as I find sculpties in general to hard to work with.
  19. if you still need help after watching the videos I can try to help you just message me
  20. I disagree witht he above statemnt I've never bought rigged mesh hands and some people in SL still can't/won't agree to see mesh so I think there's still a place for sculpted nails
  21. Hey I'm 24 also from the states feel free to look me up! I'm on mostly evenings weekedays and afternoons weekends.
  22. If you want a friend to help you out you can always friend me inworld. I'm on mostly on weekends during the day and weekdays at night.
  23. I've had the same issue with people hearing me with mic off. I only had the mic from the laptop at the time so I'm pretty sure it's a glitch with laptop mics.
  24. there's a good chance your ghosted. I used to have this happen to me a l the time. The only thing you can do is contact the sim owner that you were last at and ask them to restart the sim in order to boot your avatar off the server.
