Abandoning or changing your Linden Home 

To change your choice of Linden Home type, you must abandon your current Linden Home and then register for a new one. 

To abandon your Linden Home:

 

1. Choose World > About Land and click the General tab.
2. Click Abandon Land. 
   After you confirm your choice, the land is removed from your account. 

Now if you wish, you can register for another Linden Home.

 

Warning: Please use this reasonably: if you abandon and choose a new Linden Home five times in 24 hours, you are temporarily blocked from choosing another. You will need to wait 24 hours before registering again.

if you 'buy' on an island/estate you are really just 'renting' from the island/estate owner and you will have to pay them weekly or monthly

You should be able to get a decent 512m for less than 5-600L$.   Log into SL and go to 'Land Search' then check Ascending, use the drop down to show 'Price per meter' then put 500 or 600 in the Price box and 512 in the area.  Start at the least expensive and work your way up until you find one you like.

Since this is your first land purchase it is probably good to start with a low priced lot and then if you want you can look around for more expensive lands.

Hi Bonney,

You don't get free land, you can have 512m of mainland and not pay a monthly tier to LL.  So once you buy a 512m then there are no monthly fees.

You can get a Linden Home and there is no charge, however this uses your 512m of tier.

[How do you get Linden Labs to pay attention to an abuse report?]

One thing I've done is to file 3 AR's over a few days then take that info and put in a ticket, seems to get their attention !!!

[interesting abandoned land changes in the works]

I like this idea for selling abandoned land and believe if LL would also takes steps to lower tiers, especially for the people with smaller lots, this would invigorate the mainalnd.

Change tier levels to:

1024m       0.00usd/month

2048m       8.00usd/month

4096m     15.00usd/month

8192m     27.50usd/month

16384m   50.00usd/month

32768m   95.00usd/month

65536m 179.00usd/month

and give a 25% Group Bonus

Mainland would sell because Price does sell !!!
