  1. Before one starts adding to false information based on what someone else's friend's friend claims happened to their second cousin's ex brother in law, its probably a good idea to get the full facts. Start by reading this article - http://jayrcelasecondlifetechnologist.blogspot.com/2012/07/virus-alert-more-viral-than-virus.html "First, you should be aware that objects cannot steal accounts. At least not without your permission. If you rez something that wants to steal your account, first it has to ask for your password. Only with your password can it even access your account. Second, it cannot take any money from you without first asking, and LL puts up a big warning about it on your viewer, on which you must consciously choose to accept. In reality, this object is a spoofing griefer. It knows who you are because you are the owner. It will then rez more items with you as the owner, and it will pass itself to others, thus propagating itself."
  2. No- no dance animations. And as I also mentioned, this behavior still occurs when reverting al the way back to a "clean" avi via Character Test- no AO, no HUDS... all settings to default. ;P
  3. (..wondering what the replacement viewer for Phoenix would have to do with anything, but anyway) SL has always had a hankering to eat things from time to time, but it seems that ever since they did whatever they did woth the inventory/asset server a week or so ago, it has gotten worse.. much worse.. I've had a couple things eaten- thankfully not as expensive as your bed- but no less frustrating. And it's not just vendor issues now- its actual inventory handling stuff. Objects disappearing between the inventory and the ground when rezzzing things. When unpacking boxes- stuff disappears as it is moved/copied from the box back to the inventory. GRR!!
  4. Yes.. several times.. I've also done the Character Test avis, resetting all prefs and stuff to default.. nothing has worked other than switching to Imprudence.. I think they did it. ;P
  5. I'm really hoping someone can help with this problem. Something changed between the time I logged out, and the time I logged in the next morning. NO updates of any kind were installed, no new software, etc. Logged off with everything perfectly fine, went to bed, got up, logged in to pure madness. What I see: With AO on, my avi dances. Some sort of ballerina looking dance. (No, this isn't a "forgot to stop dancing before TP'ing thing). With AO off, avi walks sort of like one of those sumo wrestlers.. duck walk kind of thing. Avi also "drifts" toward the right side of the screen. Additionally, entire environment appears to shake or jerk a bit. All menu buttons are unresponsive. Other behavior includes abruptly beginning to fly/hover. I have cleared cache, uninstalled every viewer, reinstalled, logged in with an alt, and the same behavior occurs. This behavior is not limited to Kirstens- it also happens when I log in with Snowglobe, V2, Phoenix. It does not occur when I log in with Imprudence. Any ideas as to what the heck is happening?
