What an absolutely fabulous idea for an emerging business opportunity -- in-world security protection services. I don't mean the usual security systems that you can purchase and install yourself, although those are great. I'm thinking of a full-fledged service run by a security expert. A sort of business partner. Does such a thing exist, perhaps? In the US in real life, people have signs on their houses saying "Protected by ADT" and such. It's not just that they install a burglar alarm; they have a whole system of experts behind it, monitoring constantly. It sounds like if you're making serious money, you might want to outsource some of this to a specialist like that. I realize that such people may be hard to find. They have to be extremely savvy technically, and also have that "benevolent hacker" mentality. So it has to be someone who is honest, but who understands the twisted minds of the dishonest. Part of this battle is psychological, so they have to understand that angle as well. Also, if I were you, I'd run my core business on regions that I own or co-own. You're never going to be able to protect a parcel well enough to keep these jokers away. You really need to be able to quickly eject and permanently ban a list of avatars from the entire region. They'll keep creating more avatars, of course, but maintaining that list is part of what those security specialists could help you with.
