I'm talking about things like jewelry. All I want to do is move it. I can't even get an edit option.  The pie menu comes up as if I am just clicking on my avatar.

I am using Firestorm.  This happens with both mesh and old prim items. HELP

Being the vintage girl that I am, i am disappointed in the way mesh seemed to kill the best creations.

Top of my list is Ivalde. I was lucky enough to be one of the models so I have a huge wardrobe left of the stuff. A lot of the stuff still holds up.

Also Icing and Jetdoll were great for the vintage stuffs.

Ingenue is still around, but she seems to mostly do shoes. I loved her wonderful collection of vintage clothing and hair.

Donna Flora....another vintage place with a flair for the unusual and some really pretty jewelry Sadly Squinternet passed away, Must have been, geez I dunno, maybe 8 years ago?

I am looking to find a BOM skin with natural looking breasts. Not ones that look like just half melons stuck on. cleavage or no cleavage is fine. Looking for them to be regular size.

But just....I dunno, natural. And pale, I like pale like skin.

My husband before he was my husband joined around the time I did. We  had a long distance relationship at the time and SL really helped. He stayed on a couple of years and once we were living together that trailed off.

My rl BFF is in SL, we like to hang out from time to time when her schedule allows it.

 

I had two others that were brief. One was an ex boyfriend and one was a really good school friend.

I  switched to a mesh body a few years ago. But I kept my system head. I like the way "I" look and don't care to spend the time and money trying to replicate that. 

I honestly don't know why mesh heads are preferred. I have an alt with one and all it does really is add lag. Also my computer is very low end. So, the fact that it won't go past mid graphics means I wouldn't even get the benefits of the "perfect" AV. This one makes me happy.....

I have been in SL for nearly 14 years. My two best friends live in England. See the bloke above me? We have been together for nine years! And I am American.  I am also on at all kinds of weird times. I think that helps.

One thing I would suggest is to go to events that are during the SL daytime. Especially on the weekends. You will find more Brits there.

For a sense of community that I just don't get  in world. I have my little bubbles I live in with others, but this is nice to expand out.

Back in the day there were the three "I's" for vintage shopping....Ivalde, Ingenue and Icing. Sadly Ivalde is long gone. Ingenue only does shoes and some modern clothes. And to be fair I am not sure about Icing these days. There was also Jetdoll, and Donna Flora (who made amazing Jewelry), and Pocket Mirrors (hair). I still have tons of outfits from Ivalde (I used to model for them) and Ingenue (who also made really cute vintage hair) and Jetdoll. A few still from Icing. With BOM I have been able to revive many of these old pieces.  All of these clothes have held up very well. Especially Ivalde.
