Like, say you had a pretty impressive server in your home. Could you use that server's power to ease a sim's lag, but for everyone who's on that sim and not just yourself? Are you allowed to hook private servers up to sims?

I like how people are lamenting that the trolls, griefers and generally unpleasant community of Steam will leak into SL and create chaos. I already see such people thriving in the welcome areas, and we still manage to cope. Have you forgotton about the block/mute option?

And it involves bringing your friends together. Say you wanted a dragon avatar - but you can only use the limbs on your avatar to rig the head, neck, legs etc leaving the wings and tail with no bendyness. Well, what if you made that avatar in seperate bits so one person's limbs could occupy the main body of the dragon while another person serves as the rigged wings and tail! It would be like one of those horse costumes where one person the front end and another's the rear end.

Once some random person gave me a music disc that played a whole song. It must've been made of several different sound files scripted to play in a sequence.

So ultimately this means SL will run and load everything a bit faster even for people with slower computers. Excellent.

I have this top with spikes on. I wanted to make a copy of it that didn't have the top included and re-attach that to my avatar to wear. I made a copy, unlinked it the copy, deleted the parts I didn't want then re-linked the remaining parts, named it the same as the original and selected "wear." But it ended up attaching to my right hand. I'm really lost on how to do this.

I've cleared the cache and re-installed SL but it still persists. The only reasons I can think of that might have suddenly brought this on would be something to do with the settings as I was mucking around with them a couple of days ago. I'm a Windows 7 user if that helps any.

I'm experiencing exactly the same but I'm not using a USB mic, I'm using a headset plugged into the jacks on my computer. The bar in preferences flickers, voice morphing can preview but I literally have to shove the mic RIGHT up to my mouth to get any sound which is annoying.

It'll be all well and good until she sees the busty furries in dominatrix outfits and n00bs with giant flexi dongs.
