  1. I do not own an SL home rigt now. I have in the past and never been rude to anyone either. Therefore, when I change, I use a public area. I was in the adult section and used a public area (the owner's words to me personally...for the public). This is the URL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Avadur/17/76/21. The place is called "A Place Called Home, Avadur-Adult". When do a SL search inworld, you find this: Avadur Teleport MapClose Parcel A Placed Called Home Owned By : ~ Dance with Life ~ Location : Avadur (16, 75, 21) Size : 65504 sq m Category : Parks & Nature Maturity :AAdult Just simply .. our home :) We love to share it with others.. feel free to come and wander, dance, sit and ponder.. :) For best viewing remember to always set to Region ... Teleport When you click More Info, you get this:Just simply, our home :) .. set in fields of flowers, orchards, and old forests, with horses wandering in the paddock and butterflies and fireflies in the air.(the end of the information) My Problem: I was going to change upstairs in the bedroom, which has a tub also. My computer froze and my avie ended up naked. I had to wait a few moments, not long at all, for it to unfreeze, which it did. Right after it unfroze, I am IM'd by Lumi, an owner I think, lecturing me to put on clothes. There is no nudity allowed there per Lumi. I said what happened. The person got cocky and said I should change at my home place then or learn how to change my avie without her being naked. This happened 3 times. I got upset & said I was leaving. I also said the sim is rated ADULT. Lumi said that was to keep young kids out. Lumi became cocky again and repeated the previous comments made by him. I do not see anywhere in the Search info that says NO NUDITY, first of all. Additionally, I was NOT trying to be nude. My computer froze. Thirdly, I am upstairs in the bedroom where people normally change and where there is a water-filled tub. Fourthly, I did not receive a notecard with this rule. Finally, I told Lumi I am in my 50s and repect the rules but had an uncontrolled problem. Lumi still was cocky. I didnt appreciat the parent-child lecture. I was not asked what happened. Just lectured. My Question:Can an owner of an adult sim state no nudity? Lumi said he didnt want anyone finding me that way, thus the NO NUDITY rule he claims. An ADULT sim, according to the definition given in the Knoweldge Base/Wikis, is labeled such for violence, graphic situations, sex, nudity, etc. These things are expected by avies in the ADULT region. I think then the place should be maturity labeled MODERATE, based on definition. If I am correct, then the owner needs to be informed by Linden Labs about this. Thanks for helping me with this question. --------------------------------------------------------------- Update:I appreciate the replies. Due to my not seeing any REPLY button to each response, I am including some additional information. It seems that some people did not grasp my questions accurately and have their own misconceptions about me and my questions. We are supposed to be respectful of people in SL since people are behind avies. Therefore, I believe in asking questions before making judgments, whic I why I submitted the questions here in the first place. Plus, given the owner's misunderstanding of my situation in no way excuses his/her rudeness. Again, ask before making snap and often iincorrect judgments. Post-Reply Additional Info:First, I do not have misconceptions. The Owner said to me it was a public place, not me. They built it has a public hangout, not a private home. The owner's words, not mine, that they share it as a public hangout. I did NOT argue with the owner at all. I explained what happened. I DO use WEAR and have preset outfits. That was NOT the problem, however. If you read my problem correctly, at the time I was going to change (had not done so yet), my computer froze, had a SL glitch, and then found my avie naked and bald when it unfroze. Some people who answered me didn't read that part. I am not new here nor am I rude or stupid to ignore the owner's wishes. I, too , have owned a SL home before. I recently returned to SL and do not have one yet and not able to do so just yet. I simply wanted to know if, in spite of a maturity rating, an owner can go against that...one. Additonally, I did not do anything on purpose...two. Finally, something people here also missed, was that I DID apologize for the problem which was out of my control. I said I was leaving immediately with my naked and bald avie...third and final point. The owner continued to speak cockily to me, regardless of the apology and my stating I was leaving right then. Whether or not I was going to change avie clothes, my computer froze and when it unfroze, my avie was naked and bald. I did not do that purposely. BTW, I had the "computer freeze/unfreeze/naked and bald avie" experience once in a General area. No one was rude about it Once explained, the owner of the area understood it was not intentional. No harm; no foul. Some people need to read or ask further questions. I have no misconceptions. This was an accident. it could have happened again in a General-maturity marked are also. People need to ask before making assumptions that I iintended something stupid like that. I do not act that way. I just wanted to know about the maturiy rating being stated one way (definition and what is expected with it) and if an owner can go against that by making his own rules. That is it. I gave background so as to better understand the question. I belong to another virtual world where owners cannot do that. Thus, my question here. BTW, "public" and "private" are completely different in meaning. While the owner may apparently choose to make his own rules, regardless of maturity ratings,, one cannot say to me and others it is for public use yet it is private. That is confusing to people when it come to rules. Also, it would have been nice to have received a notecard with "house rules". There are none at all given upon reaching this tp location. That would defifinitely clear up any potential questions and prevent problems. I always read and follow notecard rules. Clarificatiion; When I said that "this happened 3 times", I meant the cocky respsonses, not my computer problem that resulted in my avie being naked and bald. I shoudl have clarified that part. My apologies on that misunderstanding. In spite my of my immediate explanation and apology to the owner and informing the owner that I was immediately leaving, the owner remained rude and cocky three times with me. The owner rudely said, "Well, maybe you SHOULD leave!" When I said again that I was, the owner said oddly enough, "That is your choice." Which is it? While typing and responding to the owner, I was STILL having problems with getting my avie clothed and leaving. The glitch was not entirely corrected immediately either. It took a few moments. Finally, she was clothed and I was also able to exit that SL location.
