I have been looking into buying a new desk top and would like some opinions on these two computer configurations. 1. Dell XPS 8300 INTEL CORE I5 6mb cache 6gb ddr3-1333mhz sdram 1TB 7200rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive, 16mb cache ATI radeon hd 5450 1gb ddr3 dell wireless 1501 wireless-n pcie card standard usb 2.0 + 10/100/1000 ethernet Are the graphics card good enough for second life? opinions on the processors? any opinions on HP versus dell?

Thanks ive been leaning towards a mac but not familiar with the workings of it. Im use to a pc. but i added it to the list of things to check out when i go to buy. Ive had dell computers only so far. But was thinking of going to best buy to see what they had.

Im looking to buy a new computer to hook up to my flat screen. My question is what is the best specs to look for? I love games like Sims 3,2 and 1. Also second life. While it is certainly possible to get a TV screen that will do the job, most TV screens do not have the resolution or refresh rate that a good monitor designed for computer use will have.

Ive seen ads like the ones you speak of on billboards. You could find one in a high traffic sim.

Yes i was asking because of what was posted in my other question. I dont want to purchase something and it causes lag for myself or others. Plus i here those words a lot and i wanted some clarification.

Can someone explain how i check the scripts and prims on an item? also can you check these things before you purchase? Maybe this one should have been first but, can someone explain what scripts and prims are exactly? I kind of know but want to be sure.

Thank you for that tip. I learned that lesson the hard way. I know better now. I use to just buy stuff that i thought looked good and then it wouldnt fit my avi ar looked just ugly on me. I would just delete it. Then i found out you could adjust the size and fit of things. I hate to think of the money i deleted. *hard learned lessons are not soon forgotten* Thanks again.

I thought maybe there was something where most venders were listed and then you can see from there what people say about there products and business practices. I was wondering how and where do i check for the reputation of a seller? I found this shop curious kitties, and i love the hair styles. They also sell huds that change the color and or accents of the hair. Before i spend my money i would like to have some info to determine if its worth the investments. There are 3 huds available at 700L$ a piece. Also how and where do i review a product myself and check reviews of products? Thank you for all the assistance.
