The problem with buying lindens for them is the exchange rate and everything that goes with it. As for them not being able to buy lindens using their debit card, it's what I was told. Having been here a while back, I still recall the many horror stories about owning land on the mainland. Has this changed or is it still as bad as before? If you purchased land at the mainland from someone else, can this be done or do you need to have a sl membership to do so? Thank You

Had been away for a few but now I'm back. I do have the Firestrom viewer and I did as you said. I appreciate your help so thanks for the help as it worked fine. Now to go back to prowling.

Hey, guys Arrgh! Now it's the walking controls. For some reason, I can't control my alt with the keys to walk like with "W" to move. I now need to use the "Move Controls" with the arrows to move. I've always used the keys, even last night when I was here, but today for some reason it changed. How can I go back to walking by using the keys instead of the arrows? Thank you for any help provided

Solution was: For some reason and this is crazy being I tried to use dance balls in several places, the option that drops down from the Itan dance balls had not been dropping down. The last place I went to finally had a drop-down which I then clicked and problem solved. Maybe it was the places I had went to or maybe it had something to do with my alt but it finally came together for me. Thank You all once again

I recall the drop down blue menu-like that used to drop down whenever you and your partner used the itans dance balls. It would give you an option for the different dances it had. I didn't get this when on these particular balls. Thnk you for your time. I am so frustrated right now.

I just installed the Firestrom viewer. Now on the media preferences it has a few things which I don't have clicked and I'd like to know if maybe one of these has something to do with my problem. 1. Play media attached to other avatars. 2. Allow in-world scripts to play media. Hopefully it's one of these I need to check on. Thanks again

Nova, I was trying every which way to see if one of them would let me dance. There is no option given to me when I click on a dance ball unlike when you try to sit on a chair or sofa. I left clicked, then I right clicked it and nothing. It also never asked me to give permission to use it, either. I'm trying to find a place where i can take out my own dance balls to see if I can use them like this. Thank so much

AbreeRosati Which viewer are you talking about or does this happen with all of them? The part with the pop up on the top right side with the options you spoke of. Thank You

Hey ,guys, Thanks for all your responses. I've tried both the pink and blue balls you call in dance clubs. Intans I believe the name is where they come to where you're standing. I've done this with a female and she began to dance but I didn't. I waited a while as I know at times it takes a bit to get started but I never started to dance. I also used the blue and pink balls that are already on the floor and again, no response. I let her call the balls then I called them. I hopped on them first, then the next time she did and nothing. I just returned to this game and already I'm sort of frustrated with this issue. I'm ditching the sl viewer and trying the Firestorm one again. I don't recall what viewer I had since it's been such a long time ago. Unfortunately, I had to reinstall windows and everything was deleted including the viewer I used to have. Again, I thank you all for your help.

Hello all. I been away about 2 years after having been in sl for about 3 years before that. I've returned, but now I seem to have a problem with the dance balls. I've been to several popular and even empty clubs and when I click on a dance ball with a partner, all I do is stand there. If I click on a sofa or chair, the animation which says, "Sit" lights up. But although I don't recall if there's one for the dance balls, I right click on dance balls and again, nothing happens I've turned off my AO as I still remembered you have to do this but nothing. I've tried it with both the Firestorm viewer as well as the Second Life viewer, which I currently have on and still the same thing occurs. I thought maybe it was the viewer so I switched but I same problem still. It's ruining my evenings as I can't enjoy the music dancing with someone I've recently met. I appreciate any help with this, please!!! I checked the preferences but I don't see anything related to this on there.

Actually, I made of done this the other night as I was pressing buttons left and right trying to get myself back. I really don't recall what I did exactly but it worked back then. I don't have problems when I play other MMO's like WoW and others. Hate to sound like a noob here but how exactly would I go about doing the router thing, if you don't mind? I appreciate all the responses and all the help. Many thanks!

Similar to that pic, but worse.

Been back a short while but I'm having all sorts of problems when I first log in. When I log in. I start out as a ghost then my shape is terribly distorted. I check what I'm wearing and it says "Ruth" something. No matter how many times I log out or re-boot it stays the same. Currently, I'm using the Phoenix viewer. The other day I was able to put on my regular shape and after twiking it here and there I was back to normal. I came in the other night and I was fine after having gone through all that trouble the night before.. But now I come in tonight and again once again I'm having the same problem. It's really frustrating and time consuming. Tonight, I tried to put on my shape but it's telling me I need to wait until my clothes rezz. But they're not rezzing and I'm in a place where there is no one here but me.I go to "advance" and I rebake and again I get this stupid "ruth" shape. It's really begining to get to me since I have to waste all this time going thru' this same thing once again. I'm begining to think it's not worth the trouble coming back to sl if I have to go thru' this almost each time I log in. Does anyone know how I can rid myself of this problem? I would really appreciate any help.

I haven't been here in a long time so I don't know about this stuff. But one thing I do know and that's that I hate that viewer and prefer not to enter sl then use it. Anyway, many thanks for the info.

I had to re-install windows on my computer and with that, I also had to re-stall the game too. I used to have the old viewer which I've had for several years and I was fine with that one. I never wanted to change viewers since it seem I always had problems with viewers sl released. So I downloaded the viewer that's available on the sl page which I believe to be the lastest one. I hate it! I enter the game and I don't like what I see. I can't even find my inventory to put on clothes. You click on one of the things at the bottom of the page and boxes began to open showing you what I believe to be shops, costumes and assorted different things? I deleted it because I don't want this. I check the page again and it says there are different viewers at some wiki page. I go there and I don't see any viewers for downloading. 1. How do you find your inventory on that viewer? I'm just curious. 2. And more importantly, where do I find older viewers to download? You would think they would progress instead of going backwards. I appreciate any help. Thank You
