  1. I am trying to rent a parcel on a sim but for an unexplainable reason I cannot enter the sim. I recieve the "Cannot region cross into banned parcel" message. However I was with the owner and he checked and I am not banned, the sim is also listed as a public sim, not private (for groups). The owner cannot explain it and even added me to the access list. I tried getting into the sim in every way possible from every way posible (since sims surround it owned by the same person) . I can't even teleport onto it. I cannot see avatars on the sim and most objects. I also see a big grayed out sim on the map when I look at the map. I can't seem to find a way to resolve it. It is pretty obvious that it seems like a glitch but how to fix it is the big question. I tried switching viewers AND I even switched to my alternate account and my alt cannot get onto the sim either. I uninstalled and reinstalled SL. The only thing that I can think of is that I need the group tag but we proved that theory wrong when someone without a group tag was able to get onto the sim.
  2. For the past week I have not been able to log onto any of my Second Life accounts from my laptop. I know for a fact that there isn't a problem with my Second Life accounts because I can log in on my desktop computer (but my desktop computer doesn't support SL graphics). For a few days I thought that there was a problem with my wifi but I don't have a hard time going to web sites. I even switched wifis to see if it would help and it didn't. I have also un-installed and re-installed both Firestorm and SL Viewer without success on either. This is the message that I get when I log in: "Login failed. Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong." I am questioning if Norton is somehow stopping me from logging in but Norton is not letting me disable my firewall to find out. Before this happened I got a message from Norton asking me if I wanted to allow the Second Life Voice to continue and I allowed it to continue. Now I don't know what to do or what the problem is. Norton may not even be to blame. I have to pay my SL rent today and if I cannot fix this problem then I wont be able to play SL again.
  3. It has been a long time since I have shopped for clothes on this account. Could you suggest a list of places where I could shop for womens' clothing? I like classy, dresses, every day wear, and sophistication when looking for clothes. I have been having a really hard time finding places that I like just because I don't know where to look. I also looked on Marketplace (XStreet) and couldn't find a whole lot.
  4. If you can remember your email that you used for that account you could go back into your old emails and locate an email sent by Second Life. You can find your name in old abuse report emails, welcome to second life emails, offline IM emails, etc. You could also try going down the alphabet in your head and coming up with letters that could be familiar. Or you could try thinking of what you were thinking when you were going to create your account. For instance, when I was going to create my alt's name, I thought Olivia, then I thought Oma, Oliver, Olga, then finally I thought of Olive because it was the name of the little girl in Little Miss Sunshine.
