  1. As a retailer I would like to do a little market research in regard to clothing colours.

Please say what you would prefer out of the following options:

    1/Single colour or a single pattern/motif

    2/Mini fatpacks of 3 colours/patterns

3/Larger fatpacks of 10 or more choices

4/Mini fatpacks giving 3 options in one colour range

5/For plain outfits: Just a colour picker to tint yourself

Thank you, any other input appreciated.

People put some crazy stuff in those 'Terms'.

If I ever become a full-perms seller I'm going to have to put a Term in there that you must own a cat named 'George' and all products have to be set to have 'RuPaul' in the description.

    Why? Why not.

But yeah. I buy a lot of full perms stuff and while rare, I have seen the 'no mod' callout in the terms at least once, if not twice.

Yep, lots put no modify in their terms. I have seen some F P clothes sellers say an anti rezzing script has to be used as well.

Why not make the poster curved too?

A hollowed sphere or cylinder prim interior/exterior surface could be cut, sliced and stretched to match the curved wall surface. Then the poster texture settings would need to be realigned to match the prim interior/exterior.

I will give that a go, they should still look fine on a straight wall as well? It's for stuff I sell.

    Thank you.

  4. Is there an easy way to hang say a poster on a curved wall?

I usually just mess about with rotation but it's a bit of a PITA if you want to hang a lot of things and wondered if there's an easier way or some sort of formula that speeds things up.

Just started this recently. I know I'm late to the game. I hope this isn't a reflection of real life in the UK because I'm only on season 2 and I've already developed a phobia of hammers.

Nah, we have better uses for hammers

You need to watch Luther the film after you have watched the series.

  6. An animation isn't used for the disappearing hands trick.

It isn't an issue of body, but a combination of shape and animation. My avies all have quite narrow shoulders (I don't like the bicycle handle shoulder look), and so on occasion I've had to use the 'curvy' version of AOs to avoid the hands clipping into the hips all the time. It's also one reason I gave up on buying poses and went and learned how to make my own - most pose makers and animators tend to design their animations to work with their own avies, or to fit as many people as possible (i.e expecting avies' arms to be too short to wipe their own butts, being 2.5 metres tall, and have shoulders so wide they'd have to go through a door sidways. Also having the head the size of a tennis ball, but that isn't very often an issue as far as animations are concerned).

  7. I don't like how my hands disappear into my legs as on the left, to stop this I have to alter my shape like the one on the right, and no, I don't like that look. You have to take out all body fat and slim your legs right down.

I want chunky legs not skinny legs, I wish mesh body creators would fix this, it happens on Maitreya and Belleza GenX

I know I could use a pose to stop that, but would be better to not use one.[

Maybe it is just how the SL body has been made in the first place so it can't be fixed, who knows.

There's a fundamental difference between a customer looking for an item and a merchant looking for their own items and/or trying to prove the proposition, "Search is terribell! Moomph!"

A customer is probably looking for something specific which means their query will probably be filtered down more to begin with, by words and/or categories. I doubt a customer is just going to go, "Show me All The Plants (growy, factory, whatever)" and when I do using the "relevance" setting it shows me plants that look pretty good, actually.

"There's a fundamental difference between a customer looking for an item and a merchant looking for their own items and/or trying to prove the proposition,"

Yes, I know that. I am talking as a customer and a seller. I have never had a problem. Obviously, others have but I am just stating my own experience which is also relevant!

It's a shell of it's former glory. When LL removed voice chat from the most popular infohubs, they gutted a huge portion of what made SL into SL. Goodbye activity. Every time I go to Ahern now, it's like 4 guys, discussing philosophy.

I have never been there before so I just paid a visit, was just one person around lurking in the foliage
