  1. I can't even find anything on the marketplace anymore. I type in the exact name of the item to search it and get 50 unrelated results BEFORE the item I specifically searched for. I've taken to using google's search function instead to search SL's marketplace. It's not great, but when I type in a store name and get unrelated items from 8 years ago as the first result, something is definitely wrong. Edit: So a sort of work around is, say, you search something like "Maitreya Bathing Suit" it's going to act as if you searched Maitreya, Bathing, and suit separately and then combine all 3 into one search (which is why you will get bathing (tub) and suit (business) results along with clothes not even made for Maitreya. A work around is typing "Maitreya AND Bathing AND Suit" (all the AND's have to be capitalized for it to work.) it's still not great, and still lacks in functionality that the original search had, but at least I'm not getting bathtubs from 2016 anymore.
  2. How exactly would they have my cookies if I havent accessed facebook in 8 years? They would only be able to access my cookies if I had recently visited the site, which I haven't lol 1-1=0 And besides, are you saying that not only are the people on my friend's list somehow in my browser cookies, but also people who AREN'T my friends that I have regularly seen in other sims? That makes 0 sense.
  3. A few weeks ago I began getting automated emails with my SL friend's names in them from FB (the links in them actually go to the facebook URL, so I'm pretty sure they're legitimate emails)
  4. So recently I've been receiving automated Facebook friend suggestions from people on my SL friends list/people I sometimes encounter at SL events. The thing is, I made my Facebook account like 8 years ago, used it once, never added anyone as a friend and havent touched it since. There's no FB app on my phone, or PC and I never put any information into FB. The only thing that connects Facebook and SL is they both use the same Email address. Most of them are people from my SL friends list (it seems they made Facebook pages using their SL names) but there are a few suggestions I've received from people not on my friends list, but names I recognize from some sims I frequent. So has LL started selling information or has facebook (which I have never touched) somehow managed to to gain access to my SL info?
  5. Oh screw that, that's absolutely disgusting. $17 a month and you get 10 hours, $0.03 for each additional minute over and it takes 30 minutes each time you start that program regardless if you use it for 10 seconds. I hope Lumiya stays cause that pricing is garbage.
  6. I'm sure I'm not allowed to name stores that have been doing this but for the past 3 months I've received multiple notecards/landmarks from stores I have never visited or heard of. I've blocked all of them but then the next day a new store sends me a notecard/landmark and all the accounts these notecards/landmarks belong to are under 1 year old (usually even under 100 days old.)
  7. Oz Linden removed Lumiya from the 3rd party viewer wiki page on November 3rd, 2017. Today it seems the creator's account has been banned, though it seems Lumiya has started working again (for now.)
  8. It looks like Lumiya may have just been blocked by LL. Or at least is having login problems. Starting today when I tried logging in through Lumiya I get "Secondlife Cannot be accessed from this computer" and I'm not the only one. I have seen 5 other cases of folks not being able to log in through Lumiya today.
  9. The mobile client Lumiya for Android is no longer on the supported 3rd party viewer list http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory . What's the story behind that? Is it still safe to use?
  10. There's a problem with Secondlife's login servers at the moment it seems (You didnt actually forget your password, it's just giving that error to probably everyone right now)
  11. Eh, your replies to other discussions are getting kinda stale lol. Better luck next year, though
  12. Just wondering what the average price would be to hire someone to rig a humanoid mesh. I've been trying since 2012 and I'm still unable to figure out weight painting! I wanna find out a general price range before I go asking around.
  13. I seem to recall they did, but they only seem to make dances now. What happened that caused them to get rid of most their adult animation based products?
  14. Is there any way to sync media between multiple avatars? ie: I'm streaming a video through Dropbox onto Secondlife and one of my friends comes in late, is there any way for me to automatically catch him up to the same point everyone else is at? I've seen a few TVs in SL (Like Icarus) that claim they can sync video but I believe that only works with select providers like Youtube. Or, is there any way for me to use Attached Media to sync everyone? I've attempted to use the control bar at the top of the media object to change the part the movie/video is at but I've recieved inconclusive results from people if it works or not.
  15. Is there any way to "crop" a section of a website when streaming it onto SL? When I load up the video onto my SL screen it shows the entire website, rather than just the media located inside it. Is there any way to remove all that so just the media is displayed? edit: I'm using Twitch.tv
  16. I've tried 4 different rigged mesh avatar uploads (Created 2 in Blender and 2 in 3DsMax 2012) and each one always turns out in this EXACT position (example: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50935/crushed.PNG ) I used the Mesh Armature located on the Secondlife Mesh Wiki and I've joined it together with the Mesh of the avi, and it looks fine in Blender and 3DsMax, and it deforms and poses fine, but when I try to upload it to SL, it animates, and works as my avi's skin, but it's always horrizontal, legs at a 90 degree angle and the head is deformed. Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?

  18. Recently I popped into my land owner's parcel (I rent land from him) and saw that on his TV (It was set to web browsing) my Payment History was displayed on it with my account logged in. I decided to change my password just to be safe, but is this some sort of cookies bug or something? My password is fairly long and I cant see anyone's reason to log into my account on a built in SL browser on a TV.
