It's very confusing to have the title and substance of a topic obliterated by an edit after people have replied. I've only just seen this topic and this has happened already. The original comment now stands without context, and makes the replies sound nonsensical. Please consider in future just adding a comment to say thank you.

I'm thinking about the Peregrine Lander, and rather hoping it doesn't crash into the Moon, and I hope things are a bit safer for a crew the next time people go there.

I'd been looking for Vogon poetry (as in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) but went down a rabbit hole and found this.

participants for interviews needed

What is this research for? How will you use the real-life information you get from participants? [Edit] I just saw @Rowan Amore's posting, which gives a bit more detail, but I still want to know what you intend to do with the real-life information (since you want people to talk to you live via Teams). That's quite a lot of revelation for 8 Euros. -

YT's algorithm gave me this. It's quite dancey and like The Monkees.

That can't be easy to deal with day in and day out. *Hugs back*

I'm adding a further (and related) peeve to the one I posted an hour ago. I'm on Tamoxifen, and amongst other side effects now and then I just want to slap people. I think ladies of a certain age can relate to this. I do not endorse slapping people and I'm trying not to represent the desire with verbal lashings.

@Arielle Popstar That was good to read, and makes sense, and hooray for your mother's recovery. I don't know if it works for getting slimmer but I could try. My peeve is that, having lost a stone last year (through medical treatment, not my own efforts) I'm now putting it back on as a side-effect of a current treatment. I shouldn't really complain perhaps as it could save my life but I was just starting to feel the pleasure of trouser waists becoming too big for me.

New Year's Resolutions 2024
Garnet Psaltery replied to Garnet Psaltery's topic in General Discussion Forum
I'll just interject for a moment and ask if we can please keep it simple? A one-liner as an explanation of what you resolve is fine but a whole religious tract is pushing it a bit. I mean, you wouldn't want me doing that, would you? Be fair. -
This was also played at the Vienna New Year concert.

As sung in the charming interlude between the two halves of today's New Year concert from the Musikverein in Vienna. The concert itself was very enjoyable, with Christian Thielemann being a delightful conductor, especially of the audience.

Hat by the talented and generous Clover Dezno. Dress by the also talented and generous (and recently returned) Betsy Furman.

Say one thing you resolve to do in RL. Then do the same for SL. If you remember, revisit this topic at the end of the year and say how you did. I'll start. RL : Declutter. SL: Get out more and explore. Over to you.
