  1. Thank you for responding and clearing that up, Oz. Much appreciated.
  2. While I think that it's great that LL wants to reward premium members by increasing their group space and their offlines, I don't think that it's right to penalize non-premium members by taking away from the little bit they receive. As a non-premium member, we usually get shut out of key events because premium members have reserved space above and beyond most sim limits. We already have a select few groups we can join to the max and often times have to leave a group to join another. We already have limited access to past transactions, offline messages and even support as we can only file a ticket. Now don't get me wrong. There should definitely be differences between a premium and non-premium member. I fully get that and accept that differences will be had. But perhaps instead of shrinking non-premium group memberships to 42, increase premium to 84. Offline ims...why should they have been affected if the messages are being received offline via email? And then on the paid side of things, how is it that after 15 years of premium increases, premium members are still only receiving 300L in weekly stipends? The value of the linden as a currency has changed many times over throughout the years; why not the stipend? I think it's great that changes are happening. But if it is to the detriment of the people who login on a daily basis who, paid membership or not, are contributing to the ebb and flow of not only the value of Second Life's citizenship but their commerce as well, then who does this truly benefit?

  6. I've been looking through the marketplace a lot lately, and found that our categories are a bit askew and need some streamlining and maybe a little more separatism...especially for child/family friendly items. While a lot of content creators (CC) have gotten really good about labeling their items (thank you content creators :)), there is still a bigger disparity I'm noticing in some categories when seeking stuff for children. Below are some examples: templates: Templates are currently held under two main categories: Apparel and Building Components. This is an item that should all be located under either its own main category (since more and more clothing makers are emerging) OR consolidate the items into one location instead of two-five. Within that category, perhaps make a subcategory that is specifically for children's templates. Makes it a little easier to find. Skins: Thankfully we can only find our skins in one location (Avatar Appearance). However, inside of that, there's only about 3 categories: male, female and unisex. While that's great and all, the more popular searches are for adult skins. it makes it harder for one who's looking for a children's skin to find one; especially when one types in child/ren and gets grown women or grown men skins. The field is narrow by way of quantity, but still should be highlighted so people can find their stuff easier. Those are specific issues. But overall...the distribution of where we label our things for marketplace has been and can be incredibly confusing. I've listened to many a friend who sells their items via marketplace try to figure out the best place to put things and end up placing their stuff in the wrong category because after a while they just pick one. Things that are supposed to be for adults are landing in children categories and items that are completely NOT related are showing up in unrelated categories. Does anyone know off hand if the search categories are going to be worked on or streamlined? Where do we go to find that information? Thanks.
  7. If/when this new system goes live, is it mandatory to switch over or can we still opt out of it and retain the use of our magic boxes?
  8. This is all still very much a new and foreign world to me (being a marketplace seller). Will we still be able to use the magic box delivery system after this is released? And what is a NDA (I think I got the intials right)? In layman terms...please if possible. LOL
