  1. So SL tries to grab a screen shot when it closes down, it's in the folder with the chat logs, called screen_last.bmp. I'm converting to JPEG before post because BMPs are ginormous! So this is me on my new tricked out scooter right after I hit a super laggy sim. Post em if you got em! O ya obligatory style card! That scooter came outta Loco Lobo, I got overconfident cause it was taking cross after cross all graceful and just HAD TO upshift too far! It handles awesome, this is so not typical! The boots and the pants were a Devicious promo, and that is some quality leather, it snapped right back at relog and no stretches, tears or wrinkles! Skin is from Teen Turf, nice place for skin that does not have a quarter inch of makeup! The hair between my knees came from ETD but you can't have it because she took down all the old styles and who wants used hair that's been hanging from my knees! Net glove things were at Insanya and the tank is from Popfuzz.
  2. OK so I tried this in a little different place, Mesh Sandbox 28 and the new project viewer, because those are the newest stuff. Second Life 2.7.3 (232340) Jun 8 2011 12:44:44 (Project Viewer - Mesh Asset Deprecation) Mesh Sandbox 28 located at sim7025.aditi.lindenlab.com (216.82.40.142:13000)Mesh Experimental 11.06.07.232297 I uploaded your box_1.dae and took the defaults, then added a Hello Avatar, and the cost did double after take and rez if there were any scripts in there. There was no more increase with more copies of Hrllo Avatar. I next uploaded duck.dae, and the cost did not change from 10.0/9.6 when I added some Hello Avatars. So, it is looking like there is some minimum prim cost if the object is scripted at all, but it is not an across the board doubling.
  3. I wanna call it BOBBB! A barrel of bouncing bowdlerized beings!
  4. Yee haw? xmpppppppppp project viewer http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers#XMPP_Group_Chat It is buggier than Mothra but it is alive! WHY IS MY COOKIE MONSTER EATING A POP TART? HE IS A CHEAP IMPOSTOR!
  5. The member counts are still there in the group profile pages, and they still show up in the old style search they're taking away, but the old search makes lag on the sims. With new search and a bot to get a login token you can still get all the searchable group keys with that dictionary spew, then hammer AWS to scrape the counts. But totally, yeah, the old sort by count makes groups WAYYYYYY too exploitable for spam.
  6. OK! So! Realistically, the only way without finding a Linden that wants to share the list (you probably won't find one of those on the forums), is to run a dictionary attack on the SL group search, build the list of all the public groups, save the member counts from each group found, and sort by the counts. This list could still be scerwy if any of the largest groups are hidden from search, but a scan like it on user profiles can turn up lots of the hidden groups.
  7. That's easy! The next time some stranger asks if they can borrow L$100 and they'll pay it back tomorrow, copy down the groups in their profile.
  8. If you have the camera follow distance slider about half way now then you did not really fix it, your view will have exciting new distortions in it. Follow distance slider in preferences changes a debug setting called CameraOffsetScale. All the way to the left in the preferences is 0.5 and zoomed in closer to the avatar. The default is about 1/5 of the way in from the left, at 1.0 in debug. All the way to the right is 3.0 in debug, it pulls the camera very far from the avatar. If the follow distance slider is half way like you said you out it, then CameraOffsetScale is about 1.75 and if that looks normal then you still have Ctrl-0 turned on and did not fix the problen you said you had. To correctly fix the problem: Press Ctrl-9 to get back to the default zoom level. That is really field of view but SL calls it zoom. Put the follow distance slider back on its normal position. If you are not sure about the original spot then go into Debug Settings from the Advanced menu, type CameraOffsetScale in the menu, drag the Debug Settings window up enough that you can see the Reset To Default button and press that, or you can type 1.0 in that box.
  9. Control-9 will get you back to Kansas, and whack Esc 2 or 3 times if it is still screwy after that!
