Had the same issue last week so I filed a bug report. Turns out my home position area had voice issues. When you log into s/l try a random area, wait a few minutes then tp to your normal log in location. Worked for me, hope this helps.

Same lag issues running i7 core with Win7. This crap has to stop L. Labs.\ Fix your software or hire someone that can.
