  1. Tremendous fun, the rat armed ones are very pesistant, and the others run like anything!
  2. Does this need the whole palarva of a new JIRA? The problem appeared earlier, and was obviously solved, i'm just flagging it up as having returned. Having said that, it's now getting rather annoying, having missed a build competition i had been working on for some weeks.
  3. This error seems to have reappeared! Second Life 3.2.5 (247236) Jan 5 2012 12:10:23 (Second Life Release) A little intermittent, sometimes will calculate and upload, other times, just hangs on calculate or upload. Simple mesh, nothing fancy.
  4. Yep, can remember it well! Great disappointment that the default AVs were nothing I could possibly imagine myself as, except for the one that looked like a fox - I know, it was some sort of ring-tailed thingamabob. Anyhow, after selecting that as my AV, I read the instructions I was given, and visited all the tutorials in the arrival area (not even sure it was Help Island then...). I read the notice about going to the main grid, and how I wouldn't be able to come back after I left, so I went round again. Spent almost a week getting used to things before I plucked up enough courage to click the notice and finally explode onto the main grid!
  5. Hello :-) First, i do have a place on Escapades, which i like because i made it! Having said that, as a whole, the Island is one of my favorite places in sl because there is such variety, each person doing their own thing while remaining part of the whole. There are events organised by different residents, regular adventures, ongoing story-lines and adventures, Quests you can do yourself and lots of interesting things to do alone or with friends. It is also a changing environment, as people try different things, redesign builds, test things out and generally have fun. Over Christmas there was a Christmas Troll to visit, organised (or disorganised) snowball fights, and a toboggan building competition, which resulted in a temporary toboggan slope being built. This reaction and involvement is making things and the willingness to help each other out makes it a wonderful place to live or visit. Sometimes i am charging across the landscape chasing, or being chased, by monsters, other times i am sitting and just listening to music with friends, it's one of the most relaxing places i have found in sl - you can join in or sit and watch, no one excluded, nor pushed into doing things they don't want to. Truly, a favorite place.
