Premium lite 3.00 usd monthly 50 groups nothing else added Here is the killer part You must have a premium account to sell on marketplace - lite or higher This would decrease theft, overloading of gacha reselling that is illegal copies of content, stop fake full perms accounts selling empty boxes claiming to be well known products. It would also clean out old content with no active sellers. Giving a few months notice for people to get on board. No longer would creators have to watch people getting cash grabs off of their work unable to flag or dmca. It would mean they have to sign up with rl info like the rest of us. ______________________________________ As mentioned earlier land groups to add people to just get access if able to add by notecard to land settings, could also be an option with always allowed, just easier to add, then a new land option of can always rez, again removing the ability of a group for designers in an event. Removing people from groups is slow and tedious, but if a pay group you are actually opening yourself up to abuse if you do, so some are loathe to try, thus meaning free to join groups are the groups that will get dropped, costing those businesses in the long run, and their reaction may be to start charging to compete, thus more group hogging.

This made me laugh, because it made me realise since the linden homes went live I have had to join four groups, one for the community group, one for the paper and two land groups for friends homes. That was what took me up to 60 finally.

@Grumpity Linden @Kat Linden thank you for taking the time to answer some of the questions. When this was announced I too was very concerned at the impact this would have on basic accounts. With Creators having to usually have up to 3 groups of their own store, land, bloggers and their staff matching them, then depending on their event load possibly another 8 - 12 each. Then on top of that ones they just want to be in, you can suck up 35 groups very quickly. Bloggers then if blogging for stores group space, events group space, their own land, their own businesses maybe group space and so on. This will have a very large impact on how people are expected to suck up their groups for the needs of their existence to then find at the end of the day nothing they are in is anything but work related. That is rough that is the type of thing that weighs on people, makes them see that their Second Life is starting to be harder on them than possibly their first. I used my 60th group slot only this week. I have paid for groups, groups I own and run, ones that I need for land and manage and so on. While I do not pay for groups that I cannot afford to just leave, some have very limited incomes and are in fact in groups that provide gifts each month and that group slot is their way of enjoying and participating in Second Life with that limited budget. I have seen chat say that they just used Birthday money or something they sold gave them the funds to finally join such and such group, the having to drop 8 groups to gain one is going to hurt many. It also limits growth, someone opens a new event a new store etc and someone just cannot join in, you will have a divided SL that way. Kicking non active accounts out of groups takes hours, and is often not really an inactive account owner, because they ran out of group spaces on their main and may use offlines to email to see notices on an alt, this is actually a thing, so while they may not log in they are gathering the information they cannot get on their main. While I understand that groups are apparently a curse to function because of the way SL is set up they are a necessary tool. Group land needs a group, to ensure privacy in many cases, that people can rez items and so on group needed. To send out information as stated, groups are needed, there are still many that LL know that do not SL outside of SL, while many use things such as Plurk, Facebook and Discord, some others won't even read a blog post or open anything that in some way leaves a trail to SL. So again Groups are their only way. One group need is again associated with Land. Early Access to Bloggers, Store owners to access an event and rez etc and then all the info sent out to let people know things , Groups and Groups etc. A suggestion to help in this matter in some ways, as things can be sent with senders, not always perfect but they can. So if land was set up like the covenant where the names that are added to a sim could be done with a notecard not having to enter each name manually and wait and so on, if a list could be added to land allowing a whole list of early access people to a Region, that is one less group needed by every event, every blogger, every store manager that does not actually rez anything and so on. As far as the fee hike, the increase is big, doubling down is hard to take when the same work is being done, and if someone makes more than someone else they pay more than those others because of it, that seems very unfair as people have mentioned there are fees taken along the way in many forms and those doing better are paying them over and over. In banking if someone is bringing more cake to the party they usually get a better option of how it is served. I think that like the tiers you have for processing credit, you should allow the higher earners to pay less at the gate because overall you earn more from them already, while some may think that seems entitled and so on and they are already making enough etc, at the end of the day no one knows what peoples expenses are in RL what they really end up with at the end of the day, and while there are a few lucky creators that made a thing and that thing just happens to be a very profitable thing, most that make a lot work a lot to do so. If someone is cashing out for this person and they get charged 80 dollars usd and the next person gets charged 340 while it may have only been 170 dollars last time that 170 dollars could be someones health insurance, or someones home care nurses fees etc. They are not making more money than the previous fee, they are making the same but paying double. This is also out of nowhere for many, working out how to re-budget for this may just be too much for some, we may again lose some people along the way. Not every successful creator in SL is making millions of dollars, some are making just enough to get by, but yet doing so in a 24/7 economy, if you look at that vs just going to work in RL and getting to have time off, not having nasty IMs demanding this and that, or deadlines and competition etc, some may just choose to return to First Life.

thank you there are so many different threads, not had a chance to catch up on extras out there, also just trying to be sure that it is not one of those 'but you started a new contract with us ' situations like they do with phone etc so you lose previous options, I did not think that they would do that but just wanted to be sure

The basic account drop in groups is very surprising, I am not sure if LL actually know that many groups do charge a fee, and if someone had to swap a group they have to drop 8 to gain one, some people have every group they have as a paid for group, so they have no leeway, there are so many things that need groups to function this is going to impact a lot of things going on, it will mean people having to just say they cannot join something add a group for something without losing potentially thousands of Lindens to do so (some groups are low to join or free (those get juggled, some are more costly) Personally I usually only max out groups this time of year making new ones for an event and having to keep the others until everyone is in the new, but I have premium so am able to. Creators and the like are often sitting in a dozen groups just to be able to rez their releases at something they are participating in, this is going to be a very strange time especially the get under 35 groups part. I do not see why that had to happen, when it was 'given' in such a flourish in the past. 13 25 42 now back to 35 seems unnecessary. There is a bit to work out in all of this, the land fees for some cancel out the increase in premium so I am guessing they saw that as an incentive there, but I do not see any mention of what will happen to Stipends ? @Linden Lab there are three different (to my knowledge) stipend payouts. 500 400 and 300 currently. If the annuals change will their stipend change ? by starting at a new price point are we all then on the same stipend ?

Everything in Ashias home was phantom, she tried to jump up on the counter with no luck so I quickly rezzed a cube and slid it under the counter, she hung out awhile and then left. It was darling

What Chic said @luna Lafleur less is more, make it very clear what is being sold, a lot of the other bits and pieces can confuse people. I know personally that I often want everything I see in a tattoo ad and then realise that it is an ad for a tattoo.

Only if during the time used, it wont come up if they have changed it since, or sesrch would be a nightmare. It might come up in a such and such has changed their name to, but other than that, it is why display names have a minimum week life, so people cant cause chaos and hide.

If doing so openly as an homage to the culture, go for it. If ypu have been pretending to people that you are asian in rl, that is another thing. It sounds like the former, but it could also be a case of people thinking you are rping and they are not, so it gets tricky. Yesterday a cat came to visit, if no name over head I would have though a rezzable roaming etc. You can be whatever you like, but those around you need to want to be on board.

It would be a display home area on someones store sim instead of showcasing on one rezzed home on your own 1024 plot, you could as a store of add ons, decor etc, rez all the builds out on your own sim showing your own customers what can be done with your items - if we were given access to the builds outside of having the land

the items are an exes but still rezzed on your land, am I understanding that correctly ? If it is not yours you should consider returning it and just buy the same pieces yourself if you like them so much. If the person that does own them is ever able to get their camera into your space they can remove them. If you do not want to upset a new relationship sitting on crates is romantic too

I made a post yesterday about waiting land and being able to have the linden homes available to builders, hobbyists etc, this is another reason for this to be possible, if a creator that made furniture wanted to set up the various builds on their own store sim with layouts of their own products to show how well they fit in the models of the homes they could, and it would be a way to spread the word of their existence even further. I was talking to another premium account holder for years friend the other day and yet again another that did not know these had even happened. If store X Y and Store Z all sent out notices to their tens of thousands of group members etc, saying come and see our designer showcase looks for the new linden homes at our Linden Homes display platform at our own land, they would flock, they would be curious and they may even become premium. I would bet that there were many that saw the homes decorated and thought oooo I am definitely grabbing one, vs the previous homes of the past that people remember were a challenge to do much with or desire to want to. I also think that those few homes that were set up day 1/2 were the motivation behind others opening the doors to their own, I firmly believe it changed the mindset so fast that everyone wanted to tap in and be part of it.

Suggesting someone gives up their home, not cool, bullying in fact to even put it out there. There is no difference in one home set up open to all than any other, they just had a sign earlier than others. I would have had no idea it was his unless a friend told me, because so far my exploration has been physical, by that I mean I have walked or ridden around and enjoyed the spaces and entered or not homes that invited me to do so with signs. I haven't gone into edit (except for the dog) on things to see who owned them, I may have glanced at creator laughing that a linkset yesterday because the cow was now called a shelf...I have no idea who owns the homes, land settings, name of parcel, not caring because it was not the point. Now that I think on that I am worried I may enter the home of a nemesis and be slaughtered, oh well. Still reeling a bit at the suggestion of anyone leaving their home, under the guise of it making them some kind of hero to do so, by announcing the drop. On a side note, I have always said I am late to the internet...13 years in SL does not make me an expert on the rest of it. I am Sasy everywhere, because I hsd no real previous presence...so starting the post with an image, that yes I have seen them with different wording, does not translate to me as making it any different than if you didn't. Memes to me are thing people say differently just like gif. So it means I went into the post with just reading the title and written words, the assumption that all took it to be light and breezy lets chat, may have gotten missed by others too. I have seen many images as part of posts in the past, but again am not going to try and decipher if they are something trying to mean something else. I know I rezzed pieces that I made on my land so that I could make a trim for my friend, and I have to keep going back and forth. My other friend is obsessed with decorating them, she would do all at once if she could https://gyazo.com/0f65405b3aaee675de0d66a2d803e808 this is the cleanest our platform has ever been since the LH went live if she could see how things would look in various builds, she may settle on one or just might swap them out as needed. We may or may not be the only ones that do things like this, we are an odd bunch no denying. So it was just a thought on how it could be fun or easier to work with. We have many builds, no lacking in ones of all sizes and shapes and prim counts, just wanted to play with these for a bit p.s I want to play too I want to play with making things that fit them, just a wish ♥

I agree on that about the prims, but some that may want to build for them, may have the prims to do so, it would give people the tools available, I want to build an add on for a houseboat for my friend, and play around with it etc, to do so I either need to stand around her land while I do, or get a houseboat myself, my land allotment is already used. I could imagine it would be fun for a bit to just have a slew of houseboats out on private regions just for fun, or some may want to use them as backgrounds etc as props for layout and so on. just having the option when they are builds we would have available if we took up the option. Just as temp land I understand it is not a good plan for long term, as that would just be bringing back mainland messes, but to park yourself until the rest are ready would be neat, it might even have some realise that all the build up excitement may not be as exciting when they try and live in that small a space, and they move on rather than take up a house/boat when they go live again. Plus it would just be fun

I remember in the olden days, the Lindens used to do the land grabs, open regions that were 512 plots and everyone came running and they cost 512L to buy your 512 parcel and then land barons would offer unknowing newer people 2K for their 512 and the rest is history.... But what if the Lindens did that now as kind of a waiting list ? If you grabbed your 1024 plot then everyone that had one could set up tents etc, nothing permanent really just a fun little community of waiting for proper Linden Homes land. It would be hilariously funny for some I can imagine, but could really give the Lindens a sense of exactly how many people are wanting and waiting. People could also grab the land that is showing the kind of build they want, as in Regions A - K are Houseboats and Regions L - Z are houses. Then in the interim those premium members are also getting their 1024 parcel to play with while they wait. I would also love it if the Linden Homes were available to premium members as some kind of option like with the monthly gifts or even in the library, some people may want to use them on their own lands or just for those that want to build for them, they could rez them out at their studios/building platforms etc and not have to take up a space just to have access to the numbers . Just a thought

I rarely create in SL anymore to sell something, I find that unless inspired I don't get there...I created something very basic to give a finish to Ashias houseboat...then strutted around like I built the Taj Mahal, there is an incredible rush from creating something, I need to do it more. I hope everyone gets inspired to do more of it too. I myself wanted some clear lines in the sand about something yesterday. I think that mentions in threads by Lindens get lost, so the wiki or actual posts are the go to, but as pointed out not often updated...however wiki can be edited by us also. Maybe there needs to be a clearer marked as up to date FAQ if not already somewhere - each time I say things like that, someone links to them, covering myself this time😁

You being one does not shock me but that aside lol with all the features we have to know who is where, when, how on the sim, online, in our range etc, it is funny to still have them, it is one of those dependent on things, but I am not giving them up...it also means I know what groups are active, what groups are active on friends. If I go somewhere and suddenly all day I am seeing the group active of one group on many people, something may be going on, I could miss a Sale Chic, you would not want me to miss out on a Sale would you. Edit : I have my names set higher than the avatar so it is about a full metre above the head.

I do not tend to do that either, not forum profiles unless i end up clicking the wrong part, but it was more to see why there were already earlier comments about selling, I did not go past the marketplace link, obviously as pointed out
