It is the same for all people now I believe, you are not being singled out, if a Linden has cause for alarm he needs to act on it, with the amount of fraud and potential for money to be moved around in SL undetected by other countries etc, it is their job to ensure that the right things are done. As far as I know that all came in a few years back and is not LL's stand on it, but the goverment agencies that deal with all of it. I do not know what it is you do in Life, but if you are able to exist without a paper trail that is good if it is something you want, but if it was decided for you, and now you are kind of suffering the consequences you do need to try and work that out, because as you get older it will be very important.

@Tarina Sewell US Netflix is different from other countries, so while you have Handmaids Tale, us in OZ have that on STAN another streamer, I personally subscribe to Netflix, Stan and Prime, if there were more I would most likely subscribe to them also. You will find that many creators and big time users of Second Life if they have a second monitor will have something running on the second to keep them company while working long hours etc. I will often seek out shows that I know so well that I don't have to watch watch but can listen and glance Netflix and so on love me. If you mean use Lindens to pay your tier, then you sell your linden to USD and just leave it there, then it will take from the USD balance before it will go to any other resource (credit card) and you will never need to worry about it. Make sure you convert in enough time before tier is due, so that you get the best sell price and also in case there is a slow down in selling with lots selling at once.

For that kind of shoe I would try a store like Ingenue as they tend to go with the more conservative vintage route, or even ask for it to be considered, it is a beautiful style

turn off the neck sheath thing, those are best for system heads to mesh bodies, not for mesh heads to mesh bodies, if the skin applier is correct then it should be seamless. Also check your body does not have full bright on, you look like you have it turned on in the picture as your body is much brighter. The neck sheath is usually just a gradient of skin and in your pictures it does not match at all.

There were Panther Girls long ago that were part of Gor, is that the same thing ? one of our tenants was one, she used to create clothing and went Gor because there was a lot of money in it back in the day, with all the changes of dress needed and the veils etc. She used to log in to cash out so she could pay for her WOW subscription. Back in the olden days all Gor sims had signage very detailed rules on who and what and it was very non Furry because they were not 'real' and people that were considering themselves following all the rules of Gor (that never read the books - not being rude, it was actually a very common thing to have a Gorean Master tell you they were following all the writings but had not yet had the time to read all the books but were doing it correctly ) would get crazy about it as mentioned earlier. Just to put it out there and embarass myself a little bit, but people are willing to pay for help in learning mesh, and in some cases (me) they pay over and over again. To date I payed three different times for Digital Tutors once even yearly thinking if I did that then the pressure would be off on monthly and I would use it...nope busy year that year. I have payed for the inworld courses by designers that had other designers endorse the courses, I think that was about 20K, still have never done the courses, again no time and I forget about them until this post, because it is something privately done by Second Lifers not YouTube or something I see enough to poke my memory. Then I did a sculpt course back in the day and that guy who trained many made a killing, every big name did that course and there were levels that grew and grew so they spent almost 100K each. Then there are the Udemy Courses I have payed for, those ones do not expire so I like them more, but that means they sit there, so many that now blender has done big updates they are pretty much obsolete and would do my head in. Then there were some Lynda ones I did do, but even when I do do a course I get busy and don't put into practice and so on then have to start over. I do have bits and pieces stored in my head that eventually will all come together and make a really cute something or other maybe a box with a sphere stuck to its side who knows So the willingness to follow, to spend and support is there, not by all obviously, but probably enough to grease the wheels. I think honestly some information on what is bad, what does not work and how to maybe change the story is as important as a lesson in how to make something and rather than it sitting in a forum most do not even know exist, maybe put that on youtube and spread the word, and even if it is basic info of what tools you use, how your desk looks, how much time it takes to make something, you do not have to have a lesson plan in place, but some stores now use twitch to stream them making stuff, people watch and maybe pick up a few things here and there, maybe consider doing that when creating so people see you don't hit smooth fifty five times and upload.

A lot of trust goes into employing anyone in Second Life for any function, you would need to be sure that you not only have the possible contendors for such positions, but that you also have work available for them, which we already have forums for job seekers and other means such as classifieds to do so. You would also have to be willing to take on all responsibility if someone you send as a candidate does something wrong by the employer, and how and in what capacity you would be in control of that going forward. If it works out for a year but then doesn't are you going to get the backlash, if they do something wrong in a day or so, again on you. Then the mistreatment of employees, you would have to take on that also, as you were the one that placed them with that person. It is great that you have this love of this in RL and there are laws and practices that make that more possible there, but in Second Life it has been done in the past, has been promised and half acted upon by a fair few. Once you have all your eggs in the correct baskets then possibly ask for interested parties again, but also with your possibly on each day but maybe not etc, SL is 24/7 if the stuff hits the fan, you need to be able to fix the fan.

When people 'learn mesh' for Second Life they are already in the mode of what they want for in world, and that is the main problem. I did it myself, and my partner tried very hard to get me to erase SL from my process entirely and learn to mesh, I still do not mesh properly not even close, everything I ever create is some sort of 'cube with benefits'. I know that that is the wrong way to approach it, but because I know this, I haven't made anything in a very long time, as I have not had the time. It is like PS you can learn all the different parts but making them come together, sometimes it can take a while to get them all to click, and many don't have or want to commit to that time line, they want instant gratification because they see everyone else getting it. Another big reason for big errors are people learn from others already doing it incorrectly. SL changed a lot when mesh came about, the helping of others is epic now, where as before mesh everything was a secret in many designer circles, once mesh came about suddenly everyone was helping everyone else and it was great, but the basics many know are only what they were shown for Second Life use, and if wrong they just continue to do it wrong, because they have just kept propelling forward, not gone back and learned more. One thing I personally love is fixing UV's it is like some kind of crazy stressful puzzle, I can turn a pretzel into a square and be so excited with myself, because then making a texture for it is simple. I love doing that, even if I am not a 100% fantastic at unwrapping though, I fix as much as I can. I was working with another creator friend, one that learned from others, a clothing creator, she was showing me her UVs for a dress a basic tube dress and the UV was insane, had about 15 different pieces all over the place, and I asked her why she did not fix it, and she honestly did not know she could, she thought what you unwrapped was what you got and that was that. Everything else that was already said is true too, there are so many mesh tutorials, but they are for different uses, so even if you commit to that kind of learning you often cannot wrap your head around where to use them and how to use them for SL. I personally wish people would use sites such as Udemy and put some proper SL courses up there, it would be a good income for some and would be the go to for many, but I also understand setting up a payed for course is not that simple, and people that do mesh for Second Life have their own time limitations to work on their own things.

There is a lot wrong with mentioning it, it would be using brand names to sell a product without supporting the brand and using the proper tools they can provide. If it was listed on marketplace it could be flagged as keyword spam, because mentioning a brand puts you in the brands search, so all the people doing the right thing share space with those doing the wrong thing. If you make for one body, that is the body you mention, if a customer wants to try it knowing other things have fit in the past, that is up to them, but any mention of other brands if no actual change to the model was made, is not honest, and perception would be it was made using a kit, not trial and error, and the OP did not mention redoing the model, just trying things in world to add on. Some do 😊 and it is a good way to look at Second Life, you get more out of it, like hair for men can look great on women and vice versa, demos not ads are always the best decider.

I would announce that Lingerie Store a GENIUS in marketing, not only would it appeal to the Males shopping to add a gift for their partner while looking for trousers, but it would also appeal to the women shopping for trousers for their partner to get a little something to entice them with and so on.

I would suggest not just trying it on other bodies and then promoting that it fits said body, you need to build your clothing on the mesh models provided by the creators of said mesh bodies, to promote as fitting without doing so is usually against their own TOS but also is misleading to the public, as to use the logos or names of those brands is to lead people into believing models have been used. What your shape may do to the mesh and your creation does not mean it will fit others with a different shape and the same body. Get the proper kits and make the work fit the model and the correct rigging, or just stick to the body you already model for as I would assume that you have their kit already. When you have finished modeling on the proper kits for each body, then do as Kyrah said and buy the bodies to use to promote them.

This has not been the case for years, I did a post on gifting because of complaints I often saw. One issue is the buy now button overrides the gift even after setting item up to be a gift if you don't got to the cart the items go to you...you always have to go to cart so you can see the designated receivers. In the OP case though it seems nothing went to her, that is different.

When mesh was new they did not tell anyone they made a yellow rubber ducky the lowest lod substitute thing, so everyone landing at sims that were mesh with people in mesh were surrounded by ducks and everyone thought there were griefers attacking all the sims...it was hilarious and scary all rolled into one

My favourite thing to do is sometimes pay for something with paypal as the only funds in my paypal are from the selling of lindens so I chuckle that I payed for whatever with virtual money, but I didn't but I did, but I didn't...oh but I did As far as it not costing the seller anything, that is also untrue as each transaction has a cost, especially when listed on marketplace but even in world all vendors if broken down have a cost associated in the prims needed and the land tier paid etc. Then there is the cost of running the tools needed to provide the items, and the time it cost to create the item as well as the items cost when uploading etc. Just taking the time to reply in this forum about the matter is a cost, because something else could be done that may in fact bring in revenue. It is too easy to say virtual world blah blah does not matter (not you just in general ) but in reality all those small transactions pay someones rent, someones utilities someones medical needs etc, while the local pharmacy would not take lindens, they do take the money made from the lindens so it isn't nothing and it does feel like someone took something from you, while it may be a dollar, there is also the emotion added that someone could be so meh and petty and unkind and just downright dodgy as to take a refund and then use the item anyway. As I said in my own answer a mistake can happen, a forgetting that it was refunded and that it was meant to be removed.

Have you checked your transaction history in marketplace to see if all items were gifted to that one account and if not can you redelivery to yourself ? seeing as that is a newish feature you may not have known to try that. Unavailable in what way, I have used MP many times in the past week and had no issues, have you tried another browser ?

It is not live yet, it is in beta though you can download the beta viewer from the Second Life website to use it. Once it goes live though it is going to be epic to wear system layers again, also meaning we are not going to suffer alpha masking issues etc

yes they are no different than regular old fashioned layers, so when you apply anything they go to the system body first and then show on your mesh, so if you are not logged into the bake on mesh viewer you look like this, those things would be on my mesh if I was using that viewer, so it will be an awesome thing for those that have old system stuff because it will be so many options

You cannot change your user name, you would have to rely on display names only or sacrifice your account and open a new one with your own name and if you ever feel motivated to be someones anything use display names to show that to the world instead. If you have invested lots of money into this account already, then you need to just tell people it is some kind of nickname in outer mongolia that you got from a penpal you had in the 80's I would believe you

by classic head do you mean the SL default avatar ? or is that the name of some brands head, if sl default you don't use huds and appliers you use system layers old school wise

breaks neck trying to get there WOW WOW WOW I knew of redelivery, but the search options three of them is wonderful, to be able to search out who you have gifted, alt purchases etc, and redeliver as needed, opens it all up, well done all the lindens involved.

if you do character test though there is no ALPHA to hide your system body, so it should override completely so that your system would poke through, and shape etc, the other trick used to be to just drag a folder onto your body, because a folder drag is a replace all function, it won't leave an alpha behind, even dragging the same girl next door which is the character test does the same thing.
