  1. Did he transfer, then? Last I heard he was playing for Andornot FC
  2. That's why this helpful little question mark is there above the keywords search panel on MP: And this is the link that it leads to:
  3. Relevance search for Catwa AND beard, all maturity levels, 96 items per page: https://gyazo.com/bb9da95bffe7ea9f97b5abd5404dd4c5 Boolean is your friend. That 'AND' is crucial. It won't filter out the stores who deliberately keyword spam, but it will help a lot.
  4. The main reason why the bland auto-greet scripts annoy me is that some 'hosts' don't take them off when they've finished their shift, so they teleport around shopping events and stores, spamming generic "Hi $NAME, and welcome!" messages at everyone who arrives after them. This makes them look like an official greeter or manager for the store, and I've had to IM quite a few of them to request that they detach their greeter when they land at the Catwa store and start welcoming everyone (me included). Apparently, many of them are so accustomed to ignoring the incessant chatter that they don't even realise it's spamming everyone around them... <REDACTED>: Hello Welcome Skell <REDACTED>: Hello Welcome <REDACTED> <REDACTED>: Hello Welcome <REDACTED> Skell Dagger: <REDACTED> - I'm a manager here. I don't need a welcome, but thank you. <REDACTED>: Hello Welcome <REDACTED>
  5. Really difficult to tell, since most of the things I might use to compare it to specific brands are covered up, either by tattoos or facial hair. The slashed brows, the scars, even the brow furrows could all be BoM add-ons, so I wouldn't even like to hazard a guess that it's by any particular creator based on one of those. Sorry I can't help further. ETA: OK, going out on a limb with a wild guess, based mostly on the veins showing on the back of the hand. Try checking out some demos by Not Found.
  6. Do others see you looking that way, or is it only you that sees the issue? If it's only you, try the following: CAUTION: This will reset your toolbar buttons and will remove from your screen some UI items related to the toolbar buttons (e.g. minimap, cameratools, etc). It may also reset some graphics settings, so you will need to reset all of those after logging back in. Open preferences > network & files > directories Click the 'open settings folder' button Keep that folder open and log out of SL Stay logged out. Look in that settings folder for the settings.xml file and delete it Log back into SL (a new settings.xml file will be created) Set your toolbar buttons and UI items back up If that fixes it, then great. If not, you might want to run some tests on your graphics card, especially if it's an old one that you've had for a while.
  7. 'jeans' used 5 times 'pants' used twice 'capri' used twice 'designer' used twice 'women's' used twice I found it just fine with a search for 'Levantees Jeans' so you must have relisted it.
  8. Female Bento v4.5 updates (2 fixes & 2 additions) Completed by December 2019. Male Bento v4.5 updates (2 fixes & 15 additions) Completed by December 2019. Female Bento v4.0 updates (15 additions) Completed by end of August 2019 For reference: the female v4.0 heads took a total of 7 days (Aug 19th to Aug 26th) to complete and release 15 updates each on 27 heads = 405 individual updates. This was done almost non-stop with not much sleep, working extremely long hours. I can tell you from personal knowledge that Catwa needed a break after that, to spend some time with family again and decompress from that insane amount of work, on very little sleep and for what were, frankly, ridiculously long hours. And during that entire stressful time, many men in the group were complaining non-stop to the tune of "But what about us? Where are our updates? This isn't fair!" I'll be honest and say that it was difficult for me to bite my tongue and diplomatically let them know that Catwa needed a bloody break for a bit. People wonder why a creator needs to take a break before they dive back into working on more free updates, or a new range of products. That is why. (I have no quibble regarding your point about Legacy. That's a bit of a sore point for me, too, but there is a vast difference between two bodies and almost 40 heads.)
  9. Was the item in an unpacker HUD, or was it in a rezzable box? Since gachas are almost always No Copy they should not be put into unpacker HUDs, as there's a known issue with No Copy items remaining in the HUD and not unpacking into the inventory. If this was the case, and if the doors were separate copiable items but the rest of the item was not, that may be why only the doors unpacked. Again, if it was in a HUD, try rezzing the HUD on the ground to see if the remainder of the build is inside (or, alternatively, add the HUD and edit it to inspect its contents and see if the rest of the building is inside).
  10. I can't guarantee that Catwa's animations will work well on Lelutka Evo heads. They're rigged differently, so you might get some strange results. You might want to look into something like Vista's animation HUDs. I'm not sure if they've updated for Evolution, but they did sell individual animation HUDs for the likes of Catwa, Lelutka Origins, and Genus a while back. Not sure if they included gestures etc, but it might be worth checking them out.
  11. On the fifth day of GroupChatmas... Oh wait, no five gold rings for me. But I did finally get into the group chat tonight. Whether that will continue to hold or not is anyone's guess, but both I and my fellow chat-deprived CSR managed to see the full participants list and also participate in chat this evening.
  12. Since you'll be blogging daily you might want to put a link to wherever you're hosting your blog (Blogger, Wordpress, Weebly, etc) in your signature here so that interested parties can visit to read your posts. (I assume that you're writing it elsewhere? The official Second Life forums are not the place for blog posts and product promos.)
  13. It depends which brand of head you're using. For example: all Catwa Bento and HDPRO heads contain an unpackable box of 60 gestures that you can edit to be triggered with whatever local chat words you like, no HUD required: The gestures are identical to the animations in the head's Anim HUD, and they just need to be activated in the inventory, and then the trigger typed in local chat. For the one highlighted in that image the smile on the head would activate if you typed the smile emoticon into chat, but if you wanted it to activate when you type 'smiles' or 'lol' then just edit the trigger to be that word instead. No need for HUDs or anything like that. All of the full face expressions are included (which cover most things like 'yuck' or 'sad' or 'angry' etc), as well as the separate eyes and lips moods. For any other head brand, see if they also incorporate a gesture pack like that. If not, then you may need to go along the slightly more convoluted route of unpacking the animation HUD and creating your own HUD or gestures, as Mollymews suggests.
  14. I doubt very much that a ticket will do any good. I've added a detailed comment containing my testing to @AlettaMondragon's JIRA report about the issue (BUG-230592) and would urge anyone who is experiencing the same issues to add their names to the 'watch this issue' list. The more eyes on it, the better.
  15. Further testing. No matter what I do, I still only show up as the only person in chat. When I initiate an IM with the group, my chat vanishes when I hit 'enter'. The chat window remains blank for me, but everyone else in the chat can see what I send. Four days now.
  16. This is why you don't look like the ad: The shape included with that skin is for the Skyler head from Lelutka. You're using the Alain head. If you want to look like a store's ad, then you need to find an ad for a skin that also contains a shape for Alain, as that's the head you own.
  17. From the style I'd say that's by Modulus. It might also be an earlier style by Wings, but that's doubtful so try Modulus first. Also, thank you to Josephine for mentioning my shopping guide, because you've reminded me that I need to add some more names to it!
  18. I've done some further testing for the same group with an alt (who is not a moderator), as follows: Skell: Advanced menu > Clear Group Cache, then relog On login, group chat does not pop up automatically Does not initiate an IM to the group Alt: Opens a new IM to the group after Skell has relogged, and checks the sidebar listing of people. Expected behaviour: alt should see listing of self, plus all moderators who currently have the group chat window actively open (this should be all moderators except Skell and one other who was offline at the time, as I'd asked the online mods in advance who currently had the chat open and they all did) Sees self and all online moderators - Skell included - in the list, even though chat did not pop up for Skell and he didn't initiate an IM with the group. Alt also saw listed the other moderator who only sees herself listed when initiating a group chat, as per my previous post, even though she did not have chat open Closes the group chat window Skell: Initiates an IM with the group. As before, only sees himself listed Closes the group chat window Alt: Initiates a new IM with the group and checks the sidebar listing of people Now sees self and online moderators. Skell is no longer in the list From this it's possible to surmise that when Skell relogs he actually does somehow join the group chat (it pops up on login but he doesn't see it), as he shows up in the listing for the alt, but that the group does not register with him/his account/his viewer/whatever. It is only when he initiates a chat and then manually closes it that he disappears from the list of people in the chat. We have these things. The CSR contact boards have been at the store's landing point for years, but they're only useful if someone is at the store when they need help (or thinks to go to the store to access them, or has memorised the CSRs' names, or thinks to check Catwa's profile to find them). We also have a Discord server for which we send occasional messages and invites out in the inworld group as a reminder. What we've found is that the vast majority of people still expect help in the group. They don't (and many won't) use Discord. We've seen people in group who: can't see their own messages going through, and thus ask their question over and over can't see replies from CSRs (or any other group members) in the group, and thus ask their questions over and over, and then get angry when there's no response. And yes, after about the third time of trying to reply to them - when it's become obvious that they're not seeing our responses - we IM them with the response. From my own personal experience of doing that, about half the time when we IM them, they don't answer, so who knows if even our IMs are consistently going through? can only see some replies and not others continually type '.' into group in an attempt to force the chat to work I've also had multiple experiences of watching my fellow CSRs responding to questions that I've not seen at all. When we compare notes in a private channel for who can see what, it turns out that not only do I not see what they see, but they also can't see some chat that I see. At this point, group chat is such an absolute fustercluck that it's frustrating the hell out of me, and it's making my job ridiculously difficult (and for the last three days, literally impossible).
  19. This is what I see in a 67,000+ membership group that is always active, and that I'm a moderator of. A fellow moderator sees the same thing - herself only listed - whereas three other moderators see the chat and the full list just fine. I've blurred out the chat history, but the last chat that I saw was on 14th April. It's been three days since I've been able to do my job, which is to moderate and help in a very busy support group.
  20. You have two issues going on here. The main one is that you're wearing the wrong neck type version of the body. Lelutka Evo heads such as Skyler require the 'SL Neck' version of your Signature body. The 'Default Neck' version that you're wearing is for heads that don't use the newer 'universal neck' fitting that many head creators have agreed upon to help remove that neck seam issue. The second issue is that you're not using a BoM body skin. While you still need some kind of system skin under your mesh I can see from the alpha you're wearing (BoM head with applier body and eyes) that you're clearly using the applier version of the Stray Dog body skin. Unpack the BoM set of skins that comes with the Stray Dog Signature body applier and add the correct tone of that. I'm not logged in, so I can't check, but it may be in system skin format or in tattoo layer format. If skin, WEAR it; if tattoo, ADD it. Then set your Signature body to BoM via the Settings tab and switch that alpha layer out for the one that is for BoM head and body with applier eyes. The neck fit will fix most of the issue, but always try to go full BoM whereever you have an option, as it causes much less applier/BoM finagling and hassle when it comes to wearing other things like full body tattoos that may go up onto the neck/head later down the line. In addition, do check against Rowan's advice regarding the specular settings on both head and body. You may find them called anything like Environment, Gloss, or Shine, so look for all of those and zero them across the board to check that you have a good skin match. If you do want some shine, you then know where to look to increase them all again proportionately to each other.
  21. I know what it is. You gave it a particular historical name, which suggests you know enough history to know what caused that particular historical name. The Hapsburg jaw was caused by inbreeding. So yes, you offended me. You've also somewhat ruined for me a photo that I loved. But you got to pass your insulting opinion of my avatar on to me, so congrats I guess.
  22. "Inbred", you mean? (Considering that's what caused that particular feature.) Uh... no.
  23. A trick that I often make use of when taking part in a hunt is to enable wireframe mode (CTRL + SHIFT + R). This is handy if the store has renamed the items (or if they've been particularly devious and renamed parts of the store itself with the hunt object name, such as walls or pillars or display units) so that Area Search is less effective. Most stores will have a hunt board near their entrance or lobby that shows you the item you're looking for. Enable wireframe to get an idea of what it looks like (pay attention to density of polygons as well as specific colours) and then begin camming around the store while still in wireframe. It's useful to have good 'cam-fu' if you try this, as - if the store is cluttered with bits and pieces of decor - it can be tricky to suss out what might be a hunt object or not. For ground floor levels, angle your camera at the ground and move your camera along systematically from side to side, so you don't have the wireframe of any upper floors cluttering the view. For upper floors, cam up instead. Once you find an object, come out of wireframe and look closely for it in normal mode, and you'll usually spot it fairly quickly.
