Hi,
Im the Personal Relations Manager for Second Life Roller Derby Association (SLRDA). We would like to host a charity poker night/casino night. Im not sure if under the new TOS thats possible. Im get so many stories from people on what can and cant be done. Its near impossible to find a Linden "in-world" to help us with this. And my concern is that we do everything we can to follow LL TOS in this matter. If anyone could please...please..please..with prim cherries on top..explain if and how this can be done. Thank you so much.

Greeting Derby Fans!
As you all know, one of the best parts of being in the SLRDA family is playing roller derby. As a league we strive to bring the availability of SL roller derby to all walks of life. Coming into our second year as an organization, we are looking to open new gateways to reach those in SL who are unable to skate due to time zones.
Our answer to that, forming a Euro Team! This would be a team that would fall under the umbrella of SLRDA in all rules and codes of conduct. The only difference would be in the times of practice and official bouts.
As a force in the sporting realm of Second Life, we look to set the standards of availability for our members. By opening the times and flexibility of our bouts, we gain a whole new pool of members to pull from. Which can only prove to further the goals of SLRDA.
As a league, we're looking to see what interest there is in forming the Euro team. Current SLRDA members who would be willing to volunteer with this team in any fashion. Current teams that would be willing to sister the team and stores that would like to sponsor the Euro team. This is an exciting opportunity for the entire SLRDA community to come together and promote Roller Derby to an entirely new fan base.
For those who have shown interest in SL roller derby, but have not been able to play due to time zone restrictions; we are looking to you now. This note card will be sent to every name in the Euro team file. (yes i keep one!) In order for this to work, we need YOU!! Tell your friends, your mom anyone who you think would like to join the Euro team. We cant do this without you.

Club Tourniquet is hosting SLRDA nights!!!
Our original and still fave club will be hosting SLRDA nights on fridays from 6 to 8 pm SLT
If you haven't been to one...nows the perfect time to check out the rockin tunes and just general awesomeness that is Club Tourniquet. And SLRDA's own derby girl, DJ Rowan will be spinning some tunes! She kicks arse not only on the track but spinning the tracks as well.
So ya got great music, hot derby girls on wheels and the coolest club on the grid. Where the hell else would anyone want to be on a Friday night?

The warehouse district is great.It has everything but people..lol. Its an amazing build, great potential for rp.Just not a lot of people there. Sorry I know it doesn't help, but it seems like all the good rp is being drained from sl by "pay-for-it" sexual encounters, voicers and various other things. Im a para rp'er as well and its harder now to find places that are visually pleasing, with avatars that are well put together and...*gasp* know how to rp and don't charge a fee. Every place I find is infested with sex for sale, pose balls and malls. If you find the elusive place we speak of.Let me know. Some of us old schoolers are tired of wading in the muck. = )

you really should. its so much fun and there are a whole bunch of new teams this coming season. There's also a mash-up bout where any active slrda girls can enter and the teams are mixed up. Its a great way to meet other SLRDA derby girls and to get track time in before an official bout. Wondering what to do now that you've tried it all in sl? How about strapping on some skates and joining the ladies of SLRDA (second life roller derby association). Like many hud based sports in SL, this interactive high intensity sport is hip-checking its way through the SL community. The current season is underway with the championship looming. Teams are always looking for ladies to add their rosters, and currently there is an international team forming to accomadate for various time zones. So if you're looking to get involved in a community that fosters a sense of team ethics and lots of fun, check out SLRDA. We're always looking for a few good women!

Like most people, I spent a lot of time wandering around SL looking for my place. Ive made some good friends here, but still there lacked that sense of "community" that so many are looking for. I was lucky enough to happen across Second Life Roller Derby.
Roller Derby in SL is a face paced, hud based sport where teams compete against each other. Psych0 Starship, creator of Second Life Roller Derby Association (SLRDA) has brought the RL action of Womens Roller Derby to SL. But what he has also done is create a community. The Derby Girls of SLRDA come from all walks of life and experience levels.
So if you're looking for a strong community come and check out SLRDA. Recruiting is currently underway for the upcoming '12 season. Applications can be found in the SLRDA Headquarters

Some places are favorites for the visual surroundings, some for the experience that comes from visiting and interacting at. Mine combines both. My Personal favorite place in SL would have to be Second Life Roller Derby Association's own Psych0 Riot Bitches Home Rink With its custom prison theme design, its not only fun to skate at...its also fun to visit. So whether you're an aspiring Derby Girl or just a curious fan; stop by SLRDA's top ranked Roller Derby Teams' home. You might just be lucky enough to catch the Bitches swearing at each other during practice.

SLRDA's very own Tabby2Tone will be performing a skit at the Blue Moon Burlesque Cabaret. Dancing as she performs her own written work, she is bound to make you giggle, blush and smile.
Please come out and support her as she tells her side of the SLRDA story in burledque fashion. Tabby is being gracious enough to offer 100% of her tips to the SLRDA HUD fund. Thank you Tabby, for your genorosity, creativity and your humor! Her skit will be at 2:30 sharp!!See you there!
