Landmarks Are Pointless
Ginger Shostakovich replied to Coffee Pancake's topic in General Discussion Forum
I have lost count of the times when I am looking at something on the marketplace and click on the "see this item in world"-link only to find myself in someone else's home, on an empty plot of land in the middle of nowhere, or in some memorable cases underwater or falling down from the sky. Same with landmarks I save, even more recent ones. -
I was here in RL a couple of weeks ago, but this time I was able to go inside. Sadly there was no-one else around, but it seems Mrs Hudson had made some tea.

Welcome back Clearskies! I was in the same boat as you as far as mesh avatars go - and then I decided I'm happy with my system avatar and the options I have for it. I admit that the clothing game is getting a bit more complicated since many creators make things for mesh bodies only, but have found that with a bit of shape adjustment and the judicious use of alphas (there are a few you can get on the marketplace) I can wear clothing made for a mesh avatar. Also, there is the advantage of shopping in outlets for older things ("old" in terms of Second Life, that is) which include standard sizes. I guess it depends what you want out of Second Life. I personally would wait until the bake on mesh comes around, and you'll have the best of both worlds.

Bloody hell... For a second there I wondered why someone had put their RL portrait here...! That looks amazing! (And the guy in the background is judging me...)

At the border of my piece of mainland, there is a bench / rezz zone / pod stop. The bench was empty. A few days ago, I noticed that all of a sudden, there were two seagulls on the bench, belonging to a LDPW mole. I love that. *feeds gulls*

New emoji needed for reactions
Ginger Shostakovich replied to Blush Bravin's topic in Forums Feedback
I would really like a "Wow!" emoji for when the "Like" is not enough. (Looking at you, certain "How does my avatar look like today"-posters...) -

I know you do. After all, you had a large influence in how I look. (And don't make me find some of my old group snapshots... *eg* )

This is a bit like looking at baby pictures, isn't it. Anyway, here's me on my first day in Second Life, 9 October 2007, and today - looking across time.

Heh, thank you (both for liking this and for not wanting to leave me naked in the streets). It's the whole thing; a dress, and it's from #hashbang! - I love their stuff. (marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/hashbang-Ragged-Cutsew-Dress-History/13631812; in world http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Multitudes/133/71/18) Worth a look in world imho.
