  1. I don't know if this can be usefull... but if somebody thought thta well.. I'm posting what i discover while trying to upload a mesh in SL. ATTENTION: in all those tests the mesh was perfectly rigged in software - not in SL MAC 10.6.8 C4D 12 and 11 export in COLLADA 1.4.1 --> unable to upload a rigged mesh (the calculate weight and fee disappear). Orientation of the model 90 degree off skeleton (only in world, not in software) BLENDER 2.49 --> model 90 degree off skeleton (only in world, not in software) BLENDER 2.59 --> unable to upload a rigged mesh (the calculate weight and fee disappear).  MAYA 2010 --> unable to upload a rigged mesh (the calculate weight and fee disappear).  MAYA 2012 --> unable to export proprely in COLLADA I have no idea, i tryied many times building different models. All faces was perfectly facing normal, rigging was working perfectly in software.
  2. really i tryied everything. I create and rigged my cloth in BLENDER, C4D and Maya 2012 and 2010 and NOTHING! (with Maya 2012 because i cannot find a way to export in collada). When i try to upload the mesh with skin info the calculate weight and fee disappear ( i also uncheck the thing in Maya as they tell here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mesh/Exporting_a_mesh_from_Maya#Bones_and_rigging (for Maya). I want to add that my mesh is rigged because in all 3 software it MOVES and DEFORMS according to bones (if i move-rotate bones the mesh mvoes rotate etc.) so i really cannot understand what i'm doing wrong. (plus i export in collada with all bones required, all perfectly workign in 3d software)
  3. hello... i have Maya 2012, i installed the FBX Converter and the FBX exporter but when i try to export no fbx file appear in maya! please i 'm so freaking out, i was using c4d but SL dont like my rigged c4d mesh seems (weight calculation botton disappear) and i want to try with Maya but..well...
  4. where is that option to De-click? cannot find and i have the same problem when trying to uplaod a rigged mesh
  5. Hello I have the same problem. I did a dress mesh in C4D r12 i have the ALL AVATAR bones rigged with the dress. In C4D if i rotate or move part of the avatar skeleton, the dress reacts/deform etc as it should be. then i try uploading in SL Aditi grid and i have no problem uploading dress as mesh object but when i try uploading it with skin included the "calculate weight" etc disappear. I really want to try mesh at least 1 time, i'm freaking out...so have somebody a solution? thanks Mijn edit: i try uploading https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/attachment/50990/mh_avatar_boneheat.dae and this works! but not my models...i really don't understand what i'm doing wrong... in the collada files i have to include my mesh model with skin weight tag and also all 26 bones? becasue the file over dont have bones but just the model
