  1. I've been fortunate and never recieved a bad rating yet. As a shopper however, i been fooled more than once by rigged ratings and have learned the hard way to take them all with a grain of salt. I bought an AO once had over 30 ratings almost every rating 5 stars, it turned out to be the biggest piece of junk i ever wasted L$ on. Looking at the reviewers it turns out 75% had no profile pics, groups, or much going on apparently, The other 25% were all in the same group, had a lot of the same interests, how wonderful for them. Lesson learned, I dont pay attention to 1 star ratings for failed delivery and I'm leary of products with nothing but glowing praise from people who can take time to fill in a review, but not take time to fill in their profile.
  2. look at my post right above your last post Fergie
  3. you can file it by Fax. They will accept it being faxed. I had to file a DMCA once and i used Fax, i didnt bother with the mail. they responded to it the very next day. This page explains what you need to put in your notice http://secondlife.com/corporate/dmca.php
  4. Whenever you edit linked prims, the root prim will show as yellow and the rest will show as blue. With linked prims, If you click onto Stretch, you wont get the little red, green and blue cubes for stretching but you will get little white cubes that can be used to stretch all the prims equally. Sometimes the white cubes for stretching linked prims can be difficult to see or may be a ways off from the item. To stretch or edit single prims in a linked set of prims, check the little box for "edit linked prims" on the edit window, then click onto the individual prim you want to edit. BE SURE TO MAKE A COPY FIRST!!! edit the copy and keep original for backup in case you mess up
  5. It might actually make it worse. As it is, someone has to get and maintain a magic box somewhere to sell on MP. If all that is needed in the future is dragging items to a outbox folder then any one could list anything without having any responsibilty or worry about marketabilty. People could list basic cubes for sale even if theres no chance anyone would ever buy it without having to do anything other than setting up marketplace account. and dragging the cube to the outbox folder.
  6. I was trying to find customers who bought one of my outfits to send them updated version of the outfit. Is there a way to find customers who bought particular items? I looked but perhaps missed it? What would be nice, is if i could type in the name of the product, and then see of list of everyone that bought that particular product. Hippo Vend has this feature, it doesnt seem like it should be too hard to implement What i have been doing is is opening REPORT/ORDERS then going back through months of sales manually searching for sales and writing down each name.
  7. Ann Otoole wrote: Maybe because it is a complete outfit and there is a women's outfits category? Happened to me once too. That could be why. But really it's the jacket i'm selling. The outfit just kinda compliments the jacket and is kinda thrown in for free. I can see their need to monitor a bit and make sure people don't abuse the search by word spamming in their description, but i should be able to catagorize and market my jacket & outfit as i see fit, and marketing it in the womens outerwear seems appropriate for me since really its the jacket that i want to be seen, and sold
  8. this was a message i got about Jacket i had just listed on Marketplace. Then there was link to listing guidelines. I looked at the link but i still have no clue why my item was pulled or why it was flagged. Its a fur collar jacket and outfit, complete with shoes and purse. I listed it unber Apparel/ womens/ womens outerwear I wish they could elaborate on EXACTLY what i did wrong and caused them to pull my item, because i just relisted it, and i cant think of how else it would be listed....Its a jacket....its a womens jacket...its listed in womens outerwear....what is improper???
  9. I was, i reset server and it seems to be delivering now . Its been kinda spotty lately, so now im resetting server once a day
  10. I went to find a dance i had just recently purchased and couldnt find it. I thought maybe my inventory wasnt loading or something. But i looked into my animations where it shoulda been and found it had been replaced with an "IP Replacement" I dont mind it so much, mistakes happen, and the creator was nice enough to replace the replacement I'm just curious if anything else is IP replaced and i just dont know about it yet, and curious how or why or what signals these things for removal especially when it was legally purchased from the creators mainstore.
  11. Hi everyone, sorry i havent been able to get back to the thread i started I've found the solution as to why my items fail to show in searches. I made the listings a while ago and they were all listed in a category that doesnt exist anymore. When i had made the listing there was no option for uniforms, only for themed outfits. The funny thing is, is the the uniforms still were shown in edit to be listed in themed outfits, which doesn't even exist as a category anymore lol I've changed the categories on the "lost" items and they now appear in search and are once again selling Also, I think we should be allowed to list our items in more than one category. It would help us as well as LL make a little more L$...maybe i should start a new thread on that?
  12. I decided to try a search for my own items to see how easy they are to find. I use uniform and military in all my items keywords. I typed in uniform into search and only about 10 of 40 items showed up in search. I thought maybe i hadn't put the word uniform into keywords on the items that didn't show but when i looked....there it was. I'm just curious what i didn't do right, or what i need to do for these items to show up in a search.
  13. Can someone please explain why i should need a credit card to upload mesh textures? If its a texture i made and i have the L$ required, why should LL require that i have payment info on file in order to upload mesh. It seems to me it will give credit card holders an edge over everyone else. There are people all over this planet on SL that dont have bank accounts or credit cards and are going to be unable to express their artistic abilities in mesh.
  14. I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this, How do i start a post??? I'm trying to get help with a crashing problem, but for the life of me i cant figure out how to post a new thread to ask for help.
