  4. Well it's like in real life, there will always be people who don't care about good neighbourliness, but there are also more and more who are committed to beautifying the mainland. i am against applying the rules of Bellisseria to the whole mainland and that won't work either.
  5. yes, I can understand the lowering to have more water on your own property. I don't care whether I can terraform 4 or 8 m, because I actually always build over the land because I don't like the ground textures. Beautiful is different. It really is time to give the good old mainland some new textures, it can't be that hard and it would make so many things easier. The possibility to have a bit more leeway in terraforming would be then great, of course.
  6. As far as I know, you can terraform on mainland + - 4m and not 40 and the basis for that is the original design. This also corresponds to my experience and makes sense, especially on linden roads or protected waterways.
  7. It is certainly possible to include art galleries on the teleporters, but in each of the teleporters there is also a notecard in the blue button that displays all the important landmarks and all the information I have posted here above. The teleporters are certainly not comprehensive, there are too many interesting points on Campbell coast worth visiting. But it is right to bring this up. Sometimes you are a bit blind
  8. New on Campbell coast: Eatonville Living History Museum SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Durdane/102/17/51 ----- Introduction --- Welcome to Eatonville, a living, interactive museum paying homage to the strength and beauty of the African-American diaspora through an examination of popular Black Literature. The museum is designed as a recreation of a fictional, incorporated Black 'Freedom Town' in the South, with historical information placed throughout the grounds for an interactive experience. Eatonville invites you to visit the town and discover the history of the area, diving into pivotal works of Black literature at a time of reclaimed freedom and hope. At the end of the walking tour, visit Shug Avery's jook joint for a 'living' performance of one of Shug's favorite songs. We hope you enjoy your visit at Eatonville Living History Museum! Background --- The Eatonville Living History Museum was created by Soull Starlight (formerly soulsofree resident) in 2021, to pay homage to the strength and beauty of the African American experience through an examination of pivotal Black literature and life in a Freedom Town. One of Soul's favorite books and a representation of the freedom experienced during this time is "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston. In the museum you'll find soundbites from the movie adaptation, as well as a representation of the general store as portrayed in the book and movie. Other literary works featured include "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd, "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker, and more, and can be accessed by walking around the town. The Eatonville Living History Museum seeks to represent the hope and reserve of the African American community, and to pay respect for the trailblazers and forward thinkers who pushed for equality and freedom during times of great change. The museum serves as a snapshot of life as it were for those who lived in a Freedom Town, and includes education that shares portraits of lives, both real and fictional. Visiting The Museum --- The Eatonville Living History Museum is located in Campbell Coast, a community on the mainland continent of Corsica as a part of the Campbell Coast Artist collective. You can visit the museum at: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Durdane/102/17/51 Event and Meeting Space --- The Eatonville Living History Museum is open to members of the Campbell Coast community for social and learning events. Please contact Soull Starlight to reserve the space and gain access rights.

  10. Its winter in the village - residential town houses Galleries and shops are also still offered for rent http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Emyniad/118/61/2002
  11. 5 new linden roadside rentals now available in Campbell Coast Durdane! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Durdane/160/234/63
  12. I think it's more about waiting to see if more people apply for that land, because it automatically becomes an auction if there is more than one applicant for the same piece of land. And auctions can generate much more revenue than selling for one linden per metre.
  13. If someone wants to restore the abadoned street in front of their house, they don't necessarily have to buy it. i only needed 2 min building rights on his land and 2 prim from his prim limit. Anyone can do it themselves if they own the road parts. You just have to connect the road to a rootprim on your own land and you can blend up to 64m of abadoned land with the road part. as long as no one buys the abadoned land, no one will mind. It is more difficult if the road crosses sim borders, because it then automatically becomes phantom. it should then be as close as possible to the land. Where I have building rights in the vicinity, I have already repaired some things in this way, including the river in durdane.
  14. Its a great project for all mainlanders Corsica has a own Corsica Tourist Center now @ Campbell Coast, where you can get your Corsica Passport and any stamps you can get in the near. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sunstream/99/247/65
  15. Thank you The little cottage is from Dust Bunny, maple cottage - you can find it on the MP. Campbell Coast includes the regions or parts of Edge Walker, Erazor, Laserlight, Sunstream, Durdane and Emyniad. A central point is the Welcome Center, from there you can have a good look around. I don't know of any abandoned land in the area at the moment, but things are changing all the time and you might find some. Have fun exploring!!!
  16. I would like to write about my experiences in the introductory post. I lived on standalone regions for years until I discovered sailing for myself. Since then, I have mostly lived for rent, but now for 4 years on mainland, always on the water, of course. It's just nice to get out of the house and get in the boat or car, visit neighbours or just go exploring. As I also love landscaping, I helped build Campbell Coast on the south coast of Corsica and even though there has been a change of ownership, it is growing and thriving and new houses for rent are being added all the time. Everyone has access to the open water and Lindenroad and many activities are available - sailing - fishing - parties - gallery visits and housewarmings. Horse rezzer and zip lines are also there and much more. I would never move to a single sim again, I just miss the community. I've never had ban lines and I don't think you need any. Who can take anything away here and if an unpleasant contemporary really does appear - well, there is a ban list. There is certainly still a lot of abandoned land and also many ugly corners where you don't want to live. But you don't have to, because there are beautiful places and you can help to make the Mainland more attractive and beautiful.
