  1. Your post is a bit confused and I'm having difficulty being sure what you believe to be incorrect, however I can help you figure out what is correct. First you should check your authoritive transaction history which is in your my account section of the website here https://secondlife.com/my/account/transactions.php that will show your correct and up to date linden dollar account as well as showing exactly where your linden dollars have been transacted. Your in world balance or balances in other locations may not agree with it sometimes but that is a glitch the above page is authoritive and will be correct the others will update in time. If you are having issues without your marketplace account not matching up with your authoritive transaction record then that is a seperate issue, if it involves products not being delivered as a result it might be wise to contact the merchant selling the items, similarly if you feel you have somehow overpayed for an item. The main thing to note is that it is marketplace that will have the incorrect data as it is not the authoritive record for you linden account so the mistake needs to be resolved there. PS: If you are willing to edit your post (Options > Edit) and clarify a little more what the situation is it might help us provide more assistance, is marketplace showing the value as being higher or lower than the true amount on your transation history? I wasn't sure from your post. Also, are items missing or perhaps duplicated on the marketplace order? Can you provide us with copies of the transaction from both your transaction history and marketplace along with the complete order details from marketplace. It would help me see exactly where things have gone wrong.
  2. Hi there, this is an intermittant problem that can affect any viewers at times which means that your client viewer is having difficulty connecting to the third party voice servers which run the voice services on behalf of linden labs. The first thing to try is simply relogging which will fix it most of the time, if that does not work then the next thing to do is begin checking your connectivity, make sure that you computer is plugged in to your modem/router directly with cables as voice being a VOIP product is highly sensitive to the varying conditions common on wireless that induces jitter. Viewer 2 seems to bork at poor connectivity more than older viewers most likely because it has been set to target higher quality of service targets which would fail on poor connections that are out of tollerance.
  3. Hi there, I'm not a clothing designer so I can't really help making this but you will almost certainly get better results if you try the wanted board of the commerce section of the forums there are many creators there who will be happy to help you with this and you are more likely to get results than you would in the answers area. Here is the link http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Wanted/bd-p/Wanted
  4. By this I presume that you mean it has been changed in an update in which case the is not much you can really do about it. Good news however is that if you continue to do the same as before highlighing the item then deleting it from the search box the item will still remain highlighted so you can see it at a glance by scrolling to it. In addition because it is highlighted pressing the up or down arrow keys (changing the selection by one place) will cause the scrollbars to zoom directly down to the point of the highlighted item anyway. (Tested using v2.x based firestorm viewer to check it works)
  5. I think that you will find the ' character is not a valid URL character try this instead http://slurl.com/secondlife/Poseidon%27s%20Adventure/56/83/852 notice the %27 which represents the URL encoded ' to make it safe to use in links and other URL phrasers that expect the links to be legal valid URL's
  6. To the best of my knowledge there are not current service affecting issues and this is the only question on the topic currently on answers, I would expect a flood were there a service issue that said you could be the first. The only current issue on the service status page refers to an issue with Local Payment Processing (A billing system) which would be unrelated to logins I would expect. Can you try doing a manual cache clear you can find the location of you cache folder on this page http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Clearing_the_cache then with all viewers closed go in delete all files inside of the folder called cache but leave the folder itself in place. It could be it is having issues reading a file. If that does not work go back in and this time move up a level and completely delete the SecondLife folder (Back up any important chat logs before doing this) and also bear in mind you will lose all your viewer settings in the process, that said it will most likely enable your viewer to start up again, it is a last resort that often works for issues just like this.
  7. Hi there, it's difficult to be sure what may have happened in this case but the following suggestions might help: Before anything else try a rebake it could help though I suspect that is unlikely. If that does not work open up your inventory and check your worn items tab, it is possible in new viewers such as Phoenix and v2.x to wear more than one item on a clothing layer. You may be wearing something you did not realise, remove everything but one pair of pants bellow the waist (All socks, pants, underpants, jacket layers etc that go down bellow the waist) see if you still get this issue while wearing the pair of pants on it's own. If still stuck next try clearing your viewers cache and relogging. You can find the option to clear you cache in Edit>Preferences>Network (v1.x) or Avatar>Preferences>Network (v2.x) After that if you are still having issues the next option is to try a character test to reset your avatar to default and try and clear the issue up so you can hopefully dress normally again. To do this first check you can see the Advanced (v1.x) or Develop (v2.x) men if not press CTRL+ALT+D (or on some systems CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+D). Then go to Advanced>Character>Character Tests>Test Male/Test Female (v1.x) or Develop>Avatar>Character Tests>Test Male/Test Female (v2.x) I suspect that one of those will definately clear the issue up but if not feel free to come along back and edit your post to let us know how it went and if you need other help thanks.
  8. Is the parcel in question large enough, among other things one of the conditions to be able to post an event is that the parcel be over 512m2 in size. In addition for it to work via group the land must be deeded to the group not merely set to the group. You will also not be able to post events if you have already posted 5 events in total (not per parcel). Bellow are the main conditions for a parcel to show up in the list and be eligable to host an event taken from the events TOS page located at https://secondlife.com/my/community/events/tos.php You personally own the parcel and it is at least 512 square meters in size. The parcel is owned by a group that you are an owner of, or that you have the 'host events' ability for, and is at least 512 square meters. The parcel is in a private island that you are on the access list of, and is at least 512 square meters. The parcel belongs to Governor Linden and is set to show in Search Places as a Hangout. The parcel belongs to a friend, it is set to show in Search Places as a Hangout, and is at least 512 square meters. If you are sure that all of those apply to the parcel then try the following steps they may help. First give relogging your viewer a try there has beena recent issue that some group permission changes down take effect until a relog has occured on the users account. If that fails you could consider trying to leave the group and have the group owner invite you again directly to the owner role, after accepting the invite relog and try posting your event again. If you are still having issues please do come back and edit your post adding that you have tried those steps and if you could also confirm exactly where the failure is occuring is the parcel not showing in the events list? Or are you able to try posting the event and it is failing somehow? Specifics are really useful to ensure you get the best help.
  9. Okay what this means is that you are account verified (obtained by having payment info on file and having used it) that gives you access to areas rated adult. However you are not age verified by this, that is a higher standard (in theory) and can be enforced by land owners by checking the box to say only allow residents who are age verified. If you wish to become age verified you can do so by logging into the second life website and visiting this page, you will need to have with you details of a reliable form of government ID such as a passport or driving licence.
  10. This means that the purchase rate has changed, you should check the USD amount that was charged and has been credited to your account first you can do that by going to you account summary here armed with that infomration you will be able to make another transaction attempt which will cost an amount less than or equal to your current balance I suggest making it a bit less than if the market fluctuates again you are likely to still get your L$ Note, I am not sure if it has been fixed yet but a few weeks ago there was a bug where if you entered the purchase amount in USD it would always charge your card and not use your balance on hand so to use your account balance make sure that you enter the amount you wish to purchase in L$ instead. You could also consider using the limit buy order suggested above but either way you need to know exactly how much L$ credit your have on your account to judge the correct amount to buy that uses the credit up without creating an additional charge.
  11. Hi there, the most likely cause of this is that your viewer graphics options are not set to show local lighting, you can enable this option in your graphics preferences as follows: Viewer 1.x based viewers (Snowglobe, Phoenix, Standard SL viewer etc) Go to Edit>Preferences>Graphics then click the custom checkbox then click the show local lighting radio button Viewer 2.x based viewers (SL viewer 2, Firestorm etc) Here the option is in Avatar>Preferences>Graphics, again enable the advanced mode and there is a drop down list box for lighting set it to Everything or Full to show local lights such as facelights. I hope that helps but if not edit your post and let us know so that we can help you further. EDIT: My appologies that I do not speak Spanish I hope that either you will be able to understand my answer or perhaps have a friend that can help you with the translation.
  12. You should be able to cam under the building and see it, even camming inside the prims if it is burried within the prims of the floor, try using the camera controls like alt+click, ctrl+alt+click and ctrl+alt+shift+click all while moving the mouse to get your camera in under the house and find the item. Sound emitters are often transparent so I suggest that you use ctrl+alt+t to highlight transparent while doing this. If you find yourself unable to get at the object using this method the other option is to use a viewer like Phoenix that includes the ability to "derender" an object (Derender means do not draw on the screen basically) that will completely hide the floor of the house so you can get at what is underneith, note in Phoenix you will then have to remove it from the Asset Blacklist in the Phoenix menu to make your house reappear when you are done. If those tips don't help please come back and edit your post using the options drop down menu on your post tn Edit Post to let us know so that we can try and offer other suggestions.
  13. Just to add to the great answer by Peewee Musytari that solution should work equally on Windows or Linux, the nameserver IP's listed there are those run by an organization called OpenDNS that provides a free DNS service which is on the whole more reliable than the average ISP's own. They also have additional features in place to handle when the parent nameservers fail something that will disable most implementations of DNS and can provide free web filtering and other services if you sign up with them and are using their servers. You can obtain more information about them on their site including most importantly detailed instructions how to input the name servers on Mac, Windows or Linux as well as instructions to set the nameservers up directly on you home router etc. The website is https://www.opendns.com/
