  1. I don't think that I am making my question clear. I do NOT want to do any texturing or image adding in blender. I just want a separate UV map for different parts of my mesh object. For example, I made a boat model. I want a UV map for the body of the boat, a UV map for the sails of the boat, and a UV map for the base. These parts (body, sails, and base) are all one mesh but I would like 3 UV maps so that I can take those UV maps into photoshop and work with them there.
  2. Thank you guys for the replies but I'm still not really understanding what to do. It looks to me like the information is for putting textures on in blender and then exporting for SL. What I would like to do is make multiple UV maps and then use them to make textures for my mesh object in a different program so I can then upload all the stuff to SL.
  3. I have seen mesh objects with multiple uv maps/textures that are on different faces of the mesh. My question is, in blender how do I make these seperate uv maps and use them for second life.
  4. So I have made a nice little decor piece. The main part of it is made form two planes that are connected. It looks great in blender. I made my Uv map and exported both. But when I uploaded the decor piece it looks odd. Like parts of it are transparent yet when I look at it form a different view it switches.. Any ideas?
  5. Lol I didn't even think of that! Thank you so much!
  6. Ok so I am new to making mesh and haven't really found any answers. I use blender and have made a model, the UV map that goes with it. I then made a texture and uploaded both the model and the texture to the test grid. Everything worked fine until I went to resize my model. The texture no longer matches up with the size change and I am unsure what to do about it. Any suggestions? Fixes? Or is the size a model is uploaded with what you are stuck with?
