  1. I wish the answer you got was right, but you can get caught in a bind. It is quite possible to own land, sell it, and then reduce membership to basic - AND STILL PAY LAND USE FEES, even without permium membership. The system is broken. To avoid this, after you get rid of land, but before reducing membership to basic, go to land management, and reduce your land holding fee tier to 0. Then change your membership to basic. I am still stuck, trying to get Linden to shut off my land use fees.
  2. I got rid of my land and then removed premium membership. I forgot to reduce my land use fees, so now Linden is charing me for land use even though I have standard membership. When I try to change land use fees to zero, the wonderful interface says that I cant do that becuase I am not a premium member. Wow. Stuck paying for something I dont have, and have to pay even more to shut it off!!! HELP
  3. Thanks for the reply. I looked further into the matter and discovered that a neighbor to the protected region (water ) had placed a mountain-like object as a temp along with a generator on the adjacent region. Therefore, Linden has NOT created land on this historically navigable water sim. So, I assume this is a matter of allowed (although arguably not necessarily considerate) SL functionality. thanks for prodding me to looking into more detail. Just as a matter of curiosity (and therefore a rhetorical question) I wonder if there are other similar examples of this kind of cross-region functional projection. Please consider this question answered, and the matter closed. Tommy
  4. I see that Remidge has now grown a mountain.  Before it was navagible water. I purchased and lived in my nearby waterfront property so that I, like others, could sail on these waters. Does Linden simply "take" water whenever it wants without input from residentes?? Tommy
