Hello, I'm wondering if there is a possible answer to this problem I've been having. Whenever I view a script which resizes multiple prims at the same time, some of the prims start to flicker weird colours from multicoloured, two tone or complete black. I've updated my graphics driver, my second life viewer (Using default Linden provided one), and I'm not sure if there is any options to rectify this problem. Anyone hopefully be able to help me? Hello LoveAngeL, I had followed all the steps you had wrote out for me, but unofrtunately the problem seems to be persisting, which may mean that It could be my connection to the internet or even my router. I will see if I can sort something out soon enought but thank you for the help in any case. I will reply back when I have tried possibly changing my router or contacting my ISP to see if they had any solutions.

Once again I'm asking the forum to help me with my problem with my viewer, hopefully this time I can actually get a solution. I've been having this mixed amount of problems now and I'm really getting sick of having to pit against luck that I can actually log in properly for once. Here is a list of the problems which i've been getting either at the same time or individually; - I cannot teleport whatsoever with it crashing my viewer. - Whenever I do log in I cannot view people's display names, or even their names at all. - My friends list, and my local list of people around me all show their names as (Loading) when the above problem is in effect, or even when it isn't. - I cannot IM my friends, cannot recieve IMs, I cannot pay for items, cannot view profiles while the above problem is in effect. - Whenever I do teleport, my location doesn't refresh and when I teleport after that I get a viewer crash. - The current location I spawn in doesn't show the permissions and lists the land as buyable, reguardless if it is or isnt. I've been having this problem since August and nothing I have done has fixed the issue, here is a list of Fixes I have tried and have not worked at all; - Clearing my Cache, Increasing Cache Size - Increasing Bandwidth Amount - Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Viewer - Using different Viewers - Opening ports on my Router - Updating my Graphics card I will now also post the Specs of my current machine now; Windows 7 Premium 64bit Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz 2.50GHz 4GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GT320 Graphics Card I really, really, really hope that I can actually get an answer to fixing this problem because I'm getting to the end of my teather with this and I am getting annoyed more and more with this happening all of the time. I have two issues I'm hoping to resolve, the first is for some reason I cannot spawn a poseball if it belongs to another person, for example I can spawn the poseballs on the jacuzzi I bought and own, but I cannot spawn the poseballs on my chair owned by my partner or even other chairs at a public hangout. The other issue is teleporting people to my skybox (Owned by my Partner, Land owned by a friend), I cannot seem to teleport people inside of the skybox without them falling to their doom, my partner however can teleport people to them with absolutely no problem whatsoever. I am using Viewer 3 of the newest updated version, I really want to find out why I'm having such trouble doing all this!

I just updated my driver and even that had no impact on what is happening, I really am getting annoyed by this persistant problems. This has been going on for the past 2 weeks, nearly the 3rd and I am getting sick of it quickly. Thanks for the help anyways but it seems that the graphics wasn't an issue by driver standards. I just wish I could figure out why I'm having so much trouble running it?

Opening up the ports did nothing whatsoever, it had no effect at all when booting up the viewer after restarting my router when I turned on the ports.

I've tried clearing the cache countless times, I've increased both my Bandwidth (To the max mind you) and cache size (1GB) and still no apparent solution. I tried to Beta with the same results and concluded that it is to do with my computer. Looking over some sites, I noticed that perhaps SL isn't 64bit Compatible so maybe the problem with this comes from that. I cannot open up my computer seeing that it's under warranty and I would have to take it in if I wanted to clean it up from the inside. I haven't tried installing new drivers yet but I'm going to attempt that soon; maybe that will work or not who knows. I have a sneaking thought that it might to do with my internet. I have the router in my room wired up to my computer with no other connection elsewhere, so maybe that is limiting my connection, do you think port forwarding SL would help in this situation?

I've decided to repost this topic in an effort to finally fix this issue for myself. Currently when I start up second life from sturning on my computer it runs fine, however when I close it down and start to run the viewer again, I get a whole list of troubles, so far I've had the following problems; - Can never teleport (I try to teleport and it crashes the viewer making me restart it again, this happens constantly whenever I boot up the viewer again) - Can not see names in chat, nearby people or in friends list/ All appear as 'Loading' (This is a big problem for me because I cannot tell who is saying what or have the ability to view their profile or even IM them, this is especially bad when I want to talk to my friends via IM and I cannot start it off with them or even see if they have sent me one in return.) - Mine and everyone else's Display names disappear on my screen (Ties back with the previous problem) This is making SL virtually unuseable for me whenever I start it up a second time, and even if I do reboot my computer it still acts the same, I can't imagine why it only works after my computer if off for so long. I have continually uninstalled SL and reinstalled to have the same problems, I've tried using other Viewers with the same problems arising, so far I've done everything I can possibley think of and I'm at the end of my nerves with this... I am running Windows 7 with the following specs below: If anyone can take a look at this and please tell me any possible solutions, I would be most grateful to test them out and see if they work.

I uninstalled all viewers I had on my system and then rebooted my computer, after reinstalling the latest viewer I then checked over the prefences like you suggested and it still didn't work. However for the last two days it has been working only because when the viewer updated itself, I downloaded the new one off the site, kept with the update, uninstalled that viewer, reinstalled with the dowloaded one, rebooted my computer and then booted up the viewer. This had worked for over the two days but now it's gone back to screwing up with this new update and using the above method still had no effect. Here are the specs of my computer incase someone can work out why I'm having such a problem with this! I'm hoping to fix this problem post haste so I can get back to enjoying SL again.

I do have Windows 7 and I did an analysis on my disk earlier to test to see it was fragmented at all. I checked and there wasn't any major fragmentation apart from 1% so I left it.
