So sorry to hear about this Savaj, sadly this kind of thing is fairly common these days with many online social platforms. As others have rightly said here though you need to take this to the authorities offline. The Lindens are not able to get involved in this type of situation generally unless an outside agency requests it and this is generally true for most service providers. They will happily comply, providing what RL details they have on file, access history etc. to the agency requesting them. This may seem that the service provider is being unhelpful but really it isn't, it's a simple code of practice as this needs to be between them and the authorities. Granted perhaps this could be better communicated sometimes but it can be hard for a SP to differentiate whether a complaint is real and justified or the result of emotions running high, it's not their job to do so, that's what the authorities and legal system are for. Harassment, abuse and threats to you/your family are taken seriously by the authorities as these are criminal offences and in many territories do carry stiff penalties for those committing them. Of course the real problem is trust, it's so easy to make connections with people in spaces such as SL, Social Networks etc., my personal advice is unless you are 110% confident you can really trust people you meet through this or any other medium, or indeed already know them well in real life, don't share anything that gives any real insight in to your private life. The risk of harassment, stalking, abuse of trust, identity theft etc. is very real and is the fastest growing area of crime the world over. You can't be 100% safe, just 100% cautious. It's a sad situation but just a fact of life. I hope you're situation gets sorted out quickly Savaj and that the person inflicting this misery on you and ultimately those around you gets to really reflect on and understand what they've done.
