I suspect you'll wait for a while for a sensible answer... I would offer my own venue but we don't fulfil the "well attended" criteria - small venues like ours seem to be struggling for visitors at the moment :(

    My Artbreeder pic...

Thats unfair, I think that one is much more handsome than 6.5.  The RL pic that the Artbreeder was taken from scored 6.2.  Interesting thing, the age detector got my age almost dead on right with the artbreeder pic, but was off by 12 years too young for my RL pic.

DO not let the algos make you doubt your hotness...You're a stone fox. 😜

  3. Soo funny. i always love these things. How do you rate attractiveness? The man who currently melts my brain and ovaries has hair on his face but not his head, not very tall. And usually kinda goofy looking. But has women coming out of his ears. And sexy! Whew! He has that 'thing'. The most attractive people do. But these are certainly fun.

  4. I've got stuck in a black hole of clubs with kinda lame-ish music. I'm not sure why every club I go to is sooo obsessed with classic rock. I mean, I love my Eagles like anyone, but I love to dance and a wanna take full advantage of my dance anim addiction. Tough to do with canned pop and rock. Please, can someone tell me there's a reasonably well attended place that plays music with flavor, but light on the raunch?

  5. So, I'm thinking about this. Most of us would like to be a little better than we are at dealing, talking about, thinking about people unlike ourselves. I'm wondering if there are people who would find it valuable to sit down with someone privately and help them close the gap between where they are and where they'd like to be? Does that sound like something people would like?

  6. I tend to agree with people who say that trolling is self-gratification. As Selene asks, 'is there any virtue in self-gratification?' My thought is, the virtue is minimal. Though, I'll admit, while I'm a rule-loving good girl...my friends tend to have a mischevious streak in them mile wide. None of them are actual griefers. Anymore.

I have a good deal of reluctant affection for griefers.

But when it comes to trolls. I got nothing for trolls.

  7. Find a person willing to act as your guide and discuss those things with them. In fact, feel free to message me, I'm happy to be your guide during this early stage. Welcome to SL.

    1. Why my PC, that can run Battlefield V on ultra and Ark:Survival Evolved on high in 40 FPS have lags in this game with so *****ty graphics(Even Half-life 2 of 2004 look better)?

2.I don't understand what and why can/should I do in this game.

    Explain me this please.

  8. 'Love exciting and new, come aboard,

    We're expecting you

    And love, won't hurt anymore'

Anyway, Yes I'm here for the love. I love to men here and two friends. Oh yes and the writer's group, I love that. And The BDSM discussion circuit. I'm totally addicted to that. Oh and clothes. I love them. Apart from the former and pretty beaches with good radios and classy dance venues...I can't think...oh wait and cool explory places. i can't think why i keep coming back.

  9. I have a pretty lengthy block list, mostly objects; sometimes the people attached to them...if I couldn't get it to shut up any other way. apart from that, I tend to use block as a way of 'walking away from an argument' with strangers or people I don't know that well, whom I would like to become strangers. I'm not averse to the occasional tussle with an idiot, but once i'm no longer having fun, block is awesome for really saying, 'i'm done with this'; unblocking them after a few hours. The only time I've really had to use block consistently was for an ex who wasn't that into me, but once I stopped dating him decided to annoy me during discussions I facilitated; and his ex who stalked me when she found out he'd started dating me.  Apart from that, there are a few annoying people on the BDSM discussion circuit whose voices I have turned all the way down. That's about it.

  11. The way I respond to griefers depends on my mood and the time of day. My reactions have probably run the gamut; from avoidance to going toe to toe in a pitch battle of words. The suggestions to simply avoid public sandboxes is totally sound. Unless you are in such a mood where you've already engaged with the person and leaving would make you feel like you're backing down and you don't want to.

This is not one of those situations which is black and white. If the OP chooses to AR, keep them blocked and sit while at the sandbox, this is her right. Nothing wrong or weird about it. She asked for advice, took what worked for her and left the rest. She may change her mind and decide to utilize some of the other measures described in time.

Don't see there's a need to get bent out of shape, call on 'truth and beauty, or cast aspersions on her motivations. Which honestly, is exactly as futile as choosing to continue going back to the sandbox. Perhaps you're courting drama.

    Hilarious.

  12. Oh golly, so many things. I had my first job before my first log in. The whole idea of sl was as exciting as it was nerve-wracking and so I read the (old) forums obsessively for a few hours, messaged the owner of a sl news blog and got hired. Shortly afterward, my rl arts nonprofit made its appearance inworld for a year or so. Since I've been a journalist, editor, dj, filmmaker, assistant, life coach, wedding coordinator/officiant and half a dozen other things. I've roleplayed in Gor and in the past five years begun learning about BDSM and become a part of the community, where I've facilitated discussions and mentored formally and informally.

These days sl is all about those i love. Which honestly, was worlds away from what i either expected or wanted the first time i logged in.

Ditto with flexi pieces on long dressess for dancing.  Nothing more dorky looking that a mesh dress that is not a clinger, thus would 'move' in RL when dancing, and instead the whole bottom bell moves as a single glued together piece.  I don't do near the dancing now that I used to do because, for me anyway, much of the joy of dancing was watching my dress moving with me and now, with mesh, it just looks stupid most of the time.  I've always loved dancing, but I also love flowy skirts/dresses rather than the clingy kind - and only the clingy kind look okay dancing these days.

I agree.  Flexi skirts are made for women who never sit.  They are great for women who dance, though, far superior to the rubbery "wet suit" look of mesh skirts.  I made dozens and dozens of flexi skirts, experimenting with the shape and overlap of the prims and with the flexi parameters to create skirts that flow nicely and that flare out properly when you twirl.  When I found that you can't do that with mesh, I gave up clothing design.  My creative talent is really in scripting anyway, so that gave me an excuse to do what I am best at.  Still, I do miss those flowing flexi skirts.

    Absolutely.

Yes! I didn't realize how important flows skirts were to me until I a little while ago. Me and Frank's used to be a near nightly event and I was always ready to explore new formal dance places. A few weeks ago it occurred to me that I hadn't been in aaaaages. Problem: too few swishy skirts. Seriously, I used to go and dance alone if no one asked. There was something practically ASMR about the experience.
