  1. I typically stay away from here these days since I am in OLD Blender and have no intention of leaving LOL (yes tried many times; we didn't "mesh" well". Anyway if you are trying to bake several textures to one plane (texture file to export) this MAY help -- at least with the idea. The simple one: And more advanced These are the OLD interface.
  2. Haven't read this thread but my "vote" would be losing things in the database. This has been going on since before I was born (so 16 years) for the biggest (noticeable) occurrence for me was in June where I not only lost items in inventory but items rezzed (ones I mad so not a DMCA issue) but also lost one of my blogger groups and had to get the owner to add me back in. It has become part of "that's how it is" for me but I suspect I have lost thousands of US dollars of goods over my lifetime and I see no reason for this. I know that I am not alone.
  3. There have been times in the past where folks abandoned whole sims or sold them on a first com basis for 1 linden so abandoning land is not unusual :D. Hope it works out for you.
  4. FLF at ELM http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Primrose Place/121/218/24 19 li very good LODs singles and couples animations
  5. Since we have NEW "system avatars" which are mesh -- and apparently getting updated very soon as they are sending out kits for clothing making to creators. I suggest working with those first before jumping into the fray. It will give you a good background (for free). It is a very deep rabbit hole and small steps are a good way to go. Watch for official announcements (hopefully) about the updated version of Senra. Here is my post from when the first (semi-beta) version came out. https://chicatphilsplace.blogspot.com/2023/08/updating-your-ll-senra-avatar-for-free.html
  6. Wondering if I missed the news. In the last week I have run into two very prominent places where old time gachas were available. One was a very popular store and the other a very popular event. So wondering if the rules changed. These were NOT conveyer - next up type of displays where you see what you will get next. It was absolutely a "by chance" thing. Later edit: The Second Life Gacha Policy is still up so I am guessing that these folks (both who take part in The Arcade so they SHOULD know what they are doing) are cheating. Going off to report. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Gacha_policy#:~:text=Policy Prohibiting Gacha Transactions&text=The use of the term,at the time of sale.
  7. And if an item is MOD then folks can presumably turn off any that don't work. That is what I read. Thanks. Of course they need to KNOW they can do that :D.
  8. It looked like "older hair" but ya never know. Likely you are out of luck.
  9. Write to the creator of the ad that the hair is in. They likely know and they "might" write back. There are many many thousands of hairs out there.
  10. Well I guess that "official info" has changed :D. We had PBR in Sansar and while the VIEWER was PBR the items that I made there didn't USE PBR but baked textures and they looked better there than they did here in SL. So I will still wait and see. Not a big builder any longer and not changing how I do things. IF they make it so that older baked textures don't work well (this going against that official info that may be outdated now) I can't imagine folks being happy with that. "I" Don't want to start over after sixteen years of saving my favorite things (OK well 12 years of "good stuff" maybe LOL). That would be a huge investment down the drain. Who really knows what it will be when "finished"? Even after EEP was released on the grid and there was a huge outcry (and same with the new avatars) LL went back to the drawing board.
  11. Probably important to remember ALL THE ISSUES with EEP (and some still remaining of course) while they were working on it. I am not even looking at PBR until it gets to the main grid and in Firestorm. Much easier on stress level. But kudos for the folks willing to deal and report. I hope your reports help with "fine tuning". I thought that I read that there may (will - could) be a way to turn off PBR even after it comes out. In theory MY stuff -- according to the dev comments -- should still look OK but if it doesn't I am not redoing twelve years of work.
  12. The only problem with going to a shape store is that some to man of them use the older bodies (both men and women) that no longer have clothes for them (really pretty important) So ALSO check the type of clothes that he likes and see what body types they come in. ALSO Linden Lab just announced that they are sending out the new and improved files for the now system avatars to those that signed up for them (and likely only the one approved but that was sketchy in the announcement) ----- SO that means that soon those avatars will get replaced with the newer models. The old ones weren't bad but there really were some issues. Depending on how that rolls out and who makes clothes for those new avatars he could likely just get a good looking skin and maybe even buy a shape if no one is good at making those (really pretty simple). The Black Friday tip is a good one and likely by then you will have had time to do some checking. When trying demos be SURE and try the skin WITH the body AND the shape all together -- and clothes to see the final look. Otherwise you may still get some surprises. You can make good looking avatars for almost (or no) money but it take a lot of time and it is more difficult for the guys. Don't expect this to be a quick project. Black Friday is over a month away
  13. Well when I go from the front page of the Marketplace using the GENERAL tag it is on the first page of listings if I type in "Medieval Pavilion" for the search. It is in the third row when RELEVANCE is the way it shows the results. I can also see it by typing in the full name even when I don't have adult checked. ADULT keeps putting itself IN for my choices even though I don't want that so that is another issue but your product IS showing up. That has been going on forever so that is another Marketplace issue. There ARE many but your product seems to be listed.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Who knew the cam sim was open early? Lots of pretty things there and a TON of empty booths (sadly).
  15. I didn't have any luck finding things but here is the info.
  16. That seems to be a wrong name as many searches pulled up nothing. Landmark maybe? I think I know who you mean but I can't find anything in my inventory Thanks.
  17. From what happened to you it is MOST likely that a small file got corrupted. Info in that at the link Rowan gave. The easiest way to check if something is REALLY wrong and gone is to log in on a different viewer -- so the Linden viewer if you are using Firestorm or another viewer if you use the Linden viewer. That being said things DO GO MISSING and there are hundreds or thousands of folks that can attest to that. Even the devs admitted it a few years back. So if loosing something for real is something that you cannot deal with then you will likely need to makes some choices. In many cases you can get the items missing BACK from a redelivery terminal at the store you purchased the item from. That helps sometimes. BTW IF the whole folder is missing and not just empty that is a whole nother thing and in my experience the items have just be GONE. Now and then they may sprinkle back in appearing in odd places (NOT the lost and found but more like lipstick showing up in home and garden). I have NO clue about that but always nice to find missing things showing back up.
  18. 64 meters is only for LINKED objects so you can make something 54 meters and then drag a copy. Don't forget stairs or a teleport system so folks can get where they need to go. Once you get things the way you want (the dragging copy thing) then LOCK the build down. That's one way anyway.
