  1. The people you are looking for will have enough grasp of the english language to understand your posting in english. I am a native speaker of german (and a journalist in RL) and I get only a very basic idea of your idea. Machine translations still suck. Good luck with finding the right person (not me since I don't want to be a virtual journalist and "hate" sports) for commenting on SL sports events.
  2. Thanks to all of you for your prompt help. I guess without your help I would have spent hours with trial and error. :matte-motes-smile:
  3. I am looking for an easy way to determine which face of a cube points up on the z-plane. I want to script a dice. After some arbitrary rotations on all planes one side (face) is pointing up but which one? Thanks for your help.
  4. There is a workaround :matte-motes-smitten: You can build your own megaprims NOW! http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Building-and-Texturing-Forum/How-to-build-your-own-Megaprims-NOW/td-p/1023023 Happy mega-building Villain Baroque
  5. Now you can build your own megaprims up to 64x64x64 meters and everything in-between. You can either downlaod the developer viewer and register for mesh OR you use the FREE script I wrote and build them with the viewer of your choice.:matte-motes-asleep-2: Well, it works with Phoenix Firestorm and Viewer2, I didn't test the other viewers. The script doesn't work on all sims yet. Test it on your sim and if it doesn't work, go to one of the three sandboxes where I tested it successfully (landmarks included). Build your Megaprims there and rezz them later on your parcel. As long as megaprims aren't fully supported by the standard viewer you cannot change their size after you created them. After being created they are in every aspect like the other megaprims. Use one of these two slurls to go to get the free script in-world. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Villain/77/96/30/ http://slurl.com/secondlife/Rockje/206/205/26/ Happy mega-building Villain Baroque
  6. That was definetly the #1 on my wishlist for viewer2 after I used it the first time with Emerald. I had already given up hope that it would ever become a part of the viewer and filled it away under "Things's I would like to have but the Lindens won't ever give to me" like the megaprims. I love to stand corrected. Yes, I would definetly recommend to turn this feature on by default.
  7. SL is having hiccups again. We had a long period of peace concerning the asset servers. Well, all good things come to an end. I cannot delete my own prims either at the moment. Only work-around I found is making them "temporary" or putting a small script with llDie() into them. This still works. I find it very frustrating that information policy under the new regime of Rodvik has even become worse than before. And I thought it couldn't get any worse. There used to be some information about technical problems at http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ but not any more. The value of informations on the blog approaches Zero and even the announcements of the CEO tend to stay announcements and don't become reality: Rodvik Linden wrote on the blog on May 6th: "For those who are wondering why I haven’t mentioned our initiatives on fixing lag, and other updates from the technology side of the house, FJ and Bagman will be updating you on those items next week. In the meantime, thanks to all of you for your continued support!" This update seems overdue to me but maybe that comes of living in a different timezone - lol. While being frustrated about the technical problems and the lack of any informations about pending solutions I try hard not to imagine that Second Life is dying but ... I have a dream instead: Torley is working day and night on tutorials about the new features Rodvik is going to announce during the next few days: No more lag, all parcels get double prim allowance, mega prims up to 50x50x50m become a feature, the new sculpties are here to use, there is going to be a new and easier way to use animations, the editor will work as well as group chat and ... ... /me dreams on.
  9. Are you interested in becomming an (almost) equal partner in an established business with over 1'000 exclusively and originally products? All the products are created by me - no "out of the box" or Reseller stuff. Due to the RL death of my SL partner the position of Sales & Marketing Manager is vacant. No money needed - I need your time and devotion to the job and not your money! This is an opportunity for you to earn money not some scam to get your money. I don't pay wages. Second Contact: If you sparked my interest with your notecard I will contact you for a further in-world discussion. Decision: Well, if you like my creative mind and I like your drive this may be "the beginning of a long friendship".
  10. While reading the different comments to this post I found many opinions that I share. To name the two most important ones: Removing voting on the JIRA means LL removes another way where residents could express their opinion on what is important and what isn't. New guidlines for posting means LL threatens residents who don't follow the "party line" to get banned in SL. Why do so many of us have those feelings about Linden Lab posts? Why do we have this almost instinctive feeling that every news from you has to mean bad news? And why do I feel like puking every time I read that a Linden is "excited" about something? Well, many residents don't trust you anymore. There are different reasons for that and you gave us many during the last years for sure. I lost trust when you changed your policy concerning open sims others have other reasons. So why do we stay? We stay because we have met many new friends, we stay because we still love Second Life, we stay because there is no real alternative and we stay because we still hope for change - hope dies last - ... and many of us left. You have a long way to gain our trust again. Show us by deeds not by words and "exciting" announcements.
  11. Well, I wouldn't recommed kissing a Linden on Valentine (Is this allowed for our new teen residents anyway?). Kiss someone you love instead. A lovely Valentine to all and Spread the Love Villain Baroque
  12. I look forward to Valentine. Anyone planning a hunt? Please contact me. I have a whole sim named ***** (Look up my profile if you are interested - I don't want to place an ad here ) where there is Valentine the whole year long. Spread the Love Villain Baroque
  13. Bubble Help and hints are usually one of the first things that I disable in any software. I prefer an up-to-date helpfile to this kind of help.
  14. I don't fiddle much with what the world looks like. I change the sun settings when building because it's difficult to build with the midnight setting. Overall, I find it a bit irritating imagining that everyone uses different settings. How can one talk about a beautiful sunset when everyone uses different settings? I would prefer a solution where the sim-owner can use a setting that is the standard setting for everyone visiting his sim. Villain Baroque
