  1. All this ongoing body churn isn't going to give anyone confidence that any body will get long term support from fashion creators.
  2. *sighs* that part of my post was a general statement about what I think and the "you" wasn't you personally. Doesn't anyone get the collective "you" any more?
  3. I like the way Firestorm calls people you add "Contacts" instead of "Friends". Still it's not a perfect description and sadly people still read it as "Friends". That said, I actually don't use my contacts list at all. I can remember my friends, I don't need a list and I don't need to know when they come and go. I'll either arrange times/places with them or turn up at the usual haunts and see them there. I'm not about placing expectations on people who are most likely halfway around the world and having their day while I'm asleep or vice-versa and I don't expect any placed on me either. If someone doesn't want to know me because I won't add them to my list, then I consider myself fortunate to find what they are like earlier rather than later. So for me, collected "Friends" == Zero.
  4. At certain point of view could also say due to LL by not providing what is promised as part of the subscription, that you are all being robbed. Time is ticking by and each person has less of their original subscription than they had before. Imagine if a whole year goes by then a large benefit has been paid in full but not delivered at all. Even if it was to be delivered after that, there would be no recompense for it being missing the first year.
  5. Yes, that and what you posted before. Your ideology starts to show when you want to define what is "respectful" for others. EDIT: *** THIS NEXT PART IS A GENERAL STATEMENT, IS USING THE COLLECTIVE "YOU" AND ISN'T ABOUT THE PERSON I QUOTED *** Mainland is a big sandbox and always was. It was never created with the idea that anyone should be constrained from building whatever the heck they wanted, in whatever creative ways they could conceive of and people have done over the years. You cannot preserve that and tell people they cannot have ugly screens, there is no line in the sand that makes that possible. A mainland constrained, controlled and patrolled for enforcement in these ways is a different product entirely from what it originated from and probably a different price point considering the extra effort required to make it possible. I think a lot of the ideology problems started to come in when a lot less people built weird stuff with prims. The people who only buy and then plonk down housing, landscaping and decor have very little tolerance for anything that isn't "pretty"
  6. I don't think you really understand what mainland is. Like a lot of people you want to mould it all into your ideology instead of just the bit you can afford to buy.
  7. Privacy walls are extremely rare at Nautilus City and Bay City as well. In fact I would warrant that all double-prim land is relatively clear of issues like this.
  8. No, that's just your interpretation. There's nothing stopping people hopping over their own wall and travelling the roads near where they live, etc. and you don't know that they don't. Perhaps in their misguided way they are trying to create a certain look when on their own land and the walls are decorative in their minds. The idea is to force people you don't like off to some ghetto you deem appropriate, plain and simple.
  9. "Makes you wonder why people are such .. jerks" It's because they can be. Don't trust by default, make people earn your trust and only then you will find who is worthy of it.
  10. I think you can make a Meta account now for that and separate it from FB. I have no idea about this but I did come across an article that suggested this was possible now.
  11. You erroneously equate such people as wanting an isolated parcel and repeatedly assert this. It isn't because people don't know about isolated parcels, it's because that is not what they want.
  12. I'm just responding to what you wrote and what appears to be the case. Providing a little customer support and not "doing anything else with Omega" are completely different from leaving and abandoning your products and customers. If there is more to it and it's something public then I don't see that it would be gossipy for people to know what the story is. If it isn't public then is it the best thing to be mentioning in the first place? Not least of which people will understandably have questions and might be suspicious of motives.
  13. The last login for them was a few days ago. All the Omega groups and blog are still going with no mention of this. I can still TP to the store. It doesn't look like Omega has left in any way I can see.
  14. Another BIG NOPE from me. People who don't like mainland the way it is have plenty of other options.
  15. Shoot! I didn't get the memo. Oh well, I prefer it when people ask me "Is that an attack" and then at least I know I need to clarify...or not 🤥 I like my strong opinions just to be considered my strong opinions and nothing else. Is that weird?
  16. Personally, I'm not going to be taking pictures of my genitals and I really don't need even more reason for people to focus on just the bits between my legs. I don't own a mesh V and I don't have SLex. I am not going to buy a body just because that's it's main selling feature. There is a tendency to assume that because SLex is so prevalent that everyone is doing it. There is also a tendency to assume that everyone wants their avatar as realistic as possible. I'm pretty sure there are many people for whom neither of those things are true. I think I am perfectly satisfied with the level of realism I have on my avatar currently, I'm not seeking to push it further to be honest. There is a study to be had here to see the ratio of people who participate in SLex and those that don't, those that want more realism and those that don't. I don't know how anyone would pull it off but the results if authentic would be interesting.
  17. I'm not sure even that would do it. I could be wrong though.
  18. LL don't have that feature in their viewer. Used to be able to disable via debug settings but I think they disabled that too.
  19. I was hoping for everyone's sake there would be more to differentiate this body than looking like the Maitreya with same shape and the built-in genitalia. Seems a shame that the differences look to be small otherwise.
  20. I don't care what gender the RL person is or what type of avatar they use. It's how they conduct themselves that matters.
  21. I'm interested as to whether the folks who said that bodies without alpha cuts and layers were the way forward now decide they aren't so bad after all or whether it would put them off even if they love the way they look.
  22. I have to admit I am fascinated to see how it all goes.
  23. I just love the aroma of freshly minted pixels every time I login.
  24. I think it was @Coffee Pancake who I first saw posted this information and it's because of the Firestorm bridge and works as you say here. I'll also be testing to see if I can see the problem but if I was going into a T-pose all the time then the people I know would tell me. My partner would tell me and I would go and take a look at their computer to see it. So again, not disputing the info here, just that the impacts must affect some but not others. Perhaps it's a internet connection speed thing or something else. I have seen sliding behaviour on ZHAO-II based AOs and VISTA ones though in the past so they aren't immune despite being all on the server. Anyway thanks for the info Ceka, the more we know the more we can try to figure out what is what.
