  1. Recently I have started always to try a demo before buying (unless the item costs very little). I do that even for items from creators whom I know that they make excellent things. I have become very critical, the clothing must work well (for my satisfaction): - when standing in various poses, sitting in various poses, walking, running and dancing. If the demo works ok in all of those, then I'm ready to buy. (Sometimes even excellent creator's product might fail in some of the above criteria.)
  2. Here's some live music performers whom I like: Lisa Brune, KATIA (katiaportugal Genesis), Maximillion Kleene, CECI Dover.
  3. I have done that many times. Sometimes when I'm logged in and editing SL snapshots at the same time I try to camera zoom into the snapshot wondering "why it doesn't work?" When walking in forest I start thinking that it would be cool to have mini map app on the phone to see who's nearby.
  4. Playing with freebie gun which has cool animations. But, "What goes up, will come down!" Anyway, when the downwards speeding bullet hits your head, most likely you will not get killed, but you will have a very nasty painful bump on your head.
  5. Visiting Latin ballroom. Pretty cool (or hot? ) dances there.
  6. Marketplace appears to have some: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/products/search?utf8=✓&search[category_id]=&search[maturity_level]=GMA&search[keywords]=Bento+AND+lion+AND+tail
  7. Actually SL does already have perfect working mirror reflections. Unfortunately it's available only on Linden water surface. For some reason LL does has not made it possible for us to use that feature on object surfaces.
  8. Coffee? Yes please, I'll have cappuccino. Mmm.. looks nice, but.. • no drinking animations • which doesn't matter so much as I cannot hold the cup - In some places they have drinking animations, but you cannot hold the cup. - In better places they have drinking animations, and you can hold the cup. - In the best places they have drinking animations, and you can hold the cup properly with your cool bento fingers. - In the very best places they have drinking animations, and you can hold the cup properly with your cool bento fingers, and the cup touches your lips when drinking. WOW!
  9. As mentioned above Vista Lia head comes with three different skins, all with many tones. You can use any of those from the Vista HUD. Personally I like the YS&YS skin very much. There are also Maitreya body appliers for YS&YS skins.
  10. Experimenting how photomontage would work with avatar snapshot and real life photo.
  11. Yes, the viewer DoF is a bit tricky to work with. Needs patience and practice with all the settings to get decent results.
  12. There are two kinds of skins: 1) Skins made for system avatars 2) Skins made for mesh bodies and mesh heads (these come with an applier) We cannot make an applier from system avatar skin, it's impossible. System avatar skin has three textures in it: head, upper body, lower body. Those together form that system avatar skin. Only the creator has those original skin textures. When we buy the system skin that is what we get. We don't get the original three textures, we get the skin package ready to wear on system avatar. We cannot extract the original textures from the skin package for our personal use. We can only use the skin on system avatar. If we want to make ourselves an applier for mesh bodies and mesh heads we will need the skin textures: Head texture, Upper body texture, Lower body texture. When we buy an applier there is a script in it which applies the skin texture to the mesh body and/or head. Here again, we don't get the original skin textures. We just get the applier which does its job. This is how Second Life works with skins.
  13. Viewer DoF (Depth of Field) used to blur the background.

  16. That was exactly my first impression when I tried those starter avatar's "horses".
  17. Dreaming about... it would be cool if we had mirror surfaces available on objects too.
  18. Sunshine, that's what I love! Lovely spot in the region where the LOGO shop is.

  20. In a shop - waiting for my lucky letter to appear...
  21. Woooowww... sleep walker! There was this dancing place high up in the sky above the city below. I'm a bit afraid in high places and when my avatar was standing here I felt tingling feelings in my feet, just like in real life if I was standing like that. I got interested how this city scene below was made. I flew down, just a few meters, and I was already standing on the city scene. There were many 40 x 40 x 1 meters prims with pictures of the city night lights. Pretty realistic effect it was when looking down from the railing. Well done.
