  1. I kept clicking, then enlisted the help of http://maps.eddyofarrel.com/ (makes it much simpler!), and created this map. Very likely other people made a map like this before, but I never saw anything like it, so here it is:

  11. To reiterate, if not being able to restrict a parcel to group only, put up huge walls, teleport anyone home who tries to enter or give them a few reasonable warning time to leave before ejecting them is not the type of environment you wish to live in as part of your Second Life experience, then a Linden Home in Bellisseria is probably not your cup of tea. There are plenty of options for places where you can do those things. Bellisseria just isn't one of them. You're welcome to disagree, but based on the large numbers of people living there and the struggle with supplying enough homes even 2 ye

  13. This week we are taking a field trip to Hammifari, an African safari themed zoo event that runs until May 21st. Don’t miss out! Hammifari is the latest creation of the Bellisseria Hammies, a couple/building team that oversee the Bellisseria Animal Sanctuary. They go by Hammie (Jessycajayne) and Varistentia Varriale. Hammifari has an open-plan setup, with the animals roaming freely. You can get up close and personal with giraffes, zebras, elephants, and more. There is also an elevated wooden walkway that lines the perimeter of the exhibit. It’s a great vantage point to enjoy th

  14. Early morning in my stilt home parcel at Drinkwater region. I liked the onsen bath what I have in my traditional house, so I assembled a slightly modified version also here. Feel free to visit the parcel if you want to have a look. I put the landmark to the island in front of the house. You can easily swim 🏊‍♀️ or fly 🕊️ from there to my parcel - no security orbs. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Drinkwater/62/155/21 There's a bumper boat rezzer - so you can have some fun too. 😁

  15. Pet peeve shopping event edition~ - I dislike when people wear really unnecessary items in events that causes lower performance. - I dislike when people bring more than one friend at events and rather uses time on chatting and gesturing instead of grabbing demos or purchasing whatever they came to purchase. - I dislike when people uses spankers, or moaners and walks around pretty much nude at shopping events that are not 18+. -I dislike when master/mistress's drag their pets/slaves with a leash and slamming them into people or walls, which is hilarious to watch but I don't

  17. I've been around in Bellisseria for quite some time now, building on a bunch of different parcels (because of my business) on different sims. Online daily. Never ever saw someone on or near my parcel except an occasional neighbor minding his/her own business. My personal conclusion: the orbs are mainly a solution for a hardly existing problem.

  18. I have seen many suggestions in the past from simple residents like you and me about adding regions to here and to there, but this is the first time I have seen one that suggests recycling regions and simulators rather than create brand new ones and I love it. Why has it taken so long for anyone (including me) to come up with this? And while we are on the subject of recycling regions, perhaps some can be used to pad parts of Sansara and other continents to add some protected waterways so that people once again can sail/fly/swim/whatever all around those continents without having to navigate

  19. That doesn't even sound easy. It's always possible to turn of all scripts in a parcel or region, but I can't think of a way to lock up just one script -- especially if I don't know exactly which script to lock. There are a huge number of security systems out there, and it's not hard to write new ones. Even if I had a tool that could target a specific type of orb, we'd be playing an endless game of Whack-A-Mole to find and lock them all. That's sort of the situation we are already facing as we try to keep up with the evil ones that residents report with ARs, so that hypothetical tool wou

  20. Okay, I wasn't planning to reply to any of this because this is exactly what I didn't want this thread to turn into but here it goes... I was raised in a Caribbean making me Haitian American. I've always been in a crowd with "African Americans" or Hispanics because there wasn't really other races around. When I started online gaming that's when I started to meet people of the other races but yet the majority of my friend list included people of color for the simple fact that yeah they were friendly but they didn't understand nor could they relate to me in shape or form. I'm always opened

  23. @4lice Cerise Totally just wow.... Thankyou ever so much for creating this map, I've never actually seen the missing Gaeta's visually like this before, this map may be unique - to the public at least. Maybe @Jack (Linden) has/had a comparable map? I have known about the mysterious missing Gaeta continents for a long time, from their tell-tale "invisible" locations from the SL map website and I had only imagined their actual shapes. So I'm totally mindblown by this new map, which is absolutely superb! In fact, I think you should talk to @Juliana Lethdetter as I feel this map

  26. Thanks. That lower limit is a bit arbitrary, but we took several things into account. The maximum height at which objects can be seen on the world map, for example, is 400m. Also, there have been several discussions here in the forums about how far above someone's house you have to be before it's impossible to cam inside. It turns out that it's something like 300m. When you take into account that we have terraformed Bellisseria with some "mountainous" regions that are well above the average 22m elevation of most of the Mainland, it seemed that setting the lower edge of the fly zone at 400m

  28. I'm not discussing Ivermectin with you anymore. It's efficacy has been debunked by myself and others with many studies over these past months. I suggest you get vaccinated so you don't pass Covid onto your elderly mother you've said you're caring for, and not depend on pig de-wormer to save her.

  30. And China has one of the fastest growing global markets. Put 2 and 2 together. If a new virus starts in Nowhere, Wyoming, chances are it's not going to become a global threat. Wuhan, where the virus supposedly originated, has over 8 million people and is a major transportation hub. Other viruses start in other places besides China as I've already mentioned. They don't become global pandemics because they originate in non-global economy countries such as the Congo (Ebola) or Uganda (Zika).

  31. I mean.. I'm black, but we probably don't have much in common as I'm not American. I struggle with seeing Afro-Americans as Africans. They're nothing like the Africans I've met and grew up with (somalis, congolese, eritrean, south african, gambian etc etc), so calling Americans Africans is so backwards to me. Y'all are Americans, regardless of color.

  32. My favorite boat is a free one, it is called Lami's and Ivy's Houseboat. It can be purchased on the marketplace here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/HVW-Lamis-and-Ivys-Houseboat/15482258 It is not a very fast boat, it is not a gorgeous boat, but it is a really nice boat that includes a bathroom, a sitting area, a bed, table, and multiple spots to sit on the deck and roof. I love to take this boat out, and slowly move along the waters of Bellisseria while sight seeing. In addition to that, I like to sometimes just park in the middle of an ocean and fis

  35. How many houses would you have to actually peep into before finding someone to watch? If they set their settings on their parcel correctly you can't even cam in and see anything. If they happen to land on your land just kick them out. If they come back then ban them. I swear people have no issues with having sex with cartoon characters but find it intruding if someone sees them for 15 seconds? I hardly get anyone on any of the land I own. Perhaps that just makes me unpopular. ~Shrugs~ Why why do you need locked doors if you are not there? Yes, in RL you are allowed to lock your door

  36. Richard Ebright, a professor of chemical biology at Rutgers University, said earlier this year in an interview with The Washington Post: “Based on the virus genome and properties, there is no indication whatsoever that it was an engineered virus.” The Scripps Research Institute released a study that rejects the notion that the virus was man-made. Researchers concluded that if the virus were engineered, its genome sequence would more closely resemble earlier and more serious versions of the coronavirus. “If someone were seeking to engineer a new coronavirus as a pathogen, they would h
