As somone with learning difficulties/mental problems I have but a few things to say. It going to be harsh, blunt and not very friendly. 1: Keep the R-word out of your godsdam mouth. The fact that you use it even when you confess that you know it's wrong but do it anyway casts doubt on you "concern". 2: Mind your own business. If he is legally an adult then there is zilch you can or should do. Espically if you don't know him in real life. Honestly, some of the repilies are really disturbing. This is a situation where we have no information aside from one person's account. So we should really not be encouraging a stranger to try and take away an adult's agency. Because that is what some people are suggesting.

Today I've decided to roam around the Avilion regions a little bit, and dress code is fairly strict in this medieval/fantasy driven realm. I've managed to produce myself a rather simple dress rather quickly from some spare parts and materials - yes, these are flexis, because I'm such old and odd potato - yet a friend said that it actually looks good. So, I'm making this public just to show him how wrong he is. As a bonus, and as usual when I try to look professional, I've got a derp; First attempt to take a picture had the facial expression shown below. Because my AO and timing just loves to troll me.

But do they know everything that person in real life would? From the sounds of Nope. But then again I am deeply suspicious of anyone who would use the r word..and treat this as something worth asking on a public forum for all and sundry to see. Shopping/spending addictions are a terrible thing, that affects anyone, neurotypical, disabled or abled, neurotypical. anyone can gain an addiction and indeed loved ones and professionals should try to help. Bringing it to a public forum isn't helping. I mean just look at how people have turned it into a debate on another person's agency. Or as Bitsy pointed out.. Abled folk trying to decide what is and isn't offensive on our behalf.

I'm disabled. Neither I nor any of the other people with disabilities I know find the word itself insulting or demeaning. Sometimes it's said with an insulting or demeaning attitude, but that attitude tends to come through whatever language is used. Things like deciding on our behalf what is insulting or demeaning is itself demeaning.

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I THINK maybe the dot you see that seems like an invisible person is lag on the world map from a person who was actually there "in the flesh" moments before and then left. I have the mini map up all the time and it seems much more accurate and real-time to me.

We only have her "thought" that he is special-needs. He has not stated to her that he was. She ASSUMES he is from how he types to her. Wrong. We, the general public of SL, do not have to keep a damn thing in mind. It is NOT our place to police anyones spending in SL. Nor is it our place to report such spending to LL. They wont do anything about it. Legally they can't. I am at a loss as to how spending money is a shortcoming. She has no idea what his income is, how much is a too much or even how much he is actually spending. That all depends on the state they live in. In a lot of states they are given medical and housing allowances, job placement, food stamps, therapy and many other services. Again, he didnt inherit a house... That was a guy i grew up with.. No, i am not in the UK, i am in the US. I have many family members who have various "special needs" (hate that term btw it makes them seem abnormal) who have perfectly normal lives. They have jobs, relationships and yes, even spend money on entertainment. The bottom line is, No one here has the right to curtail anyone elses spending. To report this person breaks the TOS as you are assuming they are mentally challenged. Even if they are, you have NO RIGHT to mother them. Every single person i have met in my life who was challenged just wanted to be treated as if they were just like everyone else. @Annabell Wandsworth Leave this poor guy alone. Who died and made you SLs fun police? You dont know him in RL, you arent related to him, you arent dating him, so PISS OFF. Gods, people need to mind their own damn business.

I posted this picture on Flickr early last year. This is a dress I found while going through some of my older stuff to decide whether or not to keep it for BoM. The dress alone has a CI of 2,799,508. The hair that I paired it with for the picture was another wildly high item that I found in inventory -- it came in at just shy of 250,000. The gown is truly beautiful and moves wonderfully, but definitely extravagant in the resource usage dept.

A different type of plant to add to your indoor collection maybe. From Chez Moi at a new (really colorful and fun) Mexican themed event here. I land impact at even larger than this (default size is small). Just one of many succulent types plants available.

I work with children who have all sorts of mental and physical illnesses and disabilities. I would venture a well-educated guess that many of these kids with extreme physical limitations and disabilities have higher IQs than anyone in these forums, yet they frequently and maliciously hear the r-word or are called the r-word in school, on the bus, on outings, even in the halls where I work (and they live). How lacking in empathy does a person have to be to argue the hateful point that these children, or any children, or any adult, should not be offended by a word that is almost always used in an incredibly derogatory manner in today's society? How dare anyone think they have any right to tell another person what is offensive and what isn't? The r-word is an offensive word. Period. It causes pain to a great many people. It matters not one single iota that anyone believes it isn't offensive because it is. The individual human beings that this word is used to describe say it is an offensive word. Why is this so hard for anyone to understand?

The green trailer placeholders are being removed in areas, the houseboats in SSP230 are now the right way around in the docks, the big building is getting new tree decor... so looks to be the final frills getting done. I did notice someone working up in SSP84 as well, so I wonder if they'll toss that one into the release as well.

How? are you going to file an AR? Send a note to support? What makes this your business? Is he a family friend, ex-lover, second cousin twice removed? Who are you to dictate how he spends his SL? As a trained EMT i would definitely help them. This is hardly the same. You have no factual knowledge of his finances. you dont even know his actual mental state, you "Think" he is mentally hindered. Why do you feel the need to police his spending? Do you have any real proof of how much he is spending? Leave the poor guy alone to have his fun.
