  2. Als het geen Walen zijn.. want dan moet het in het Frans.
  3. Back on my usual BS today. Jamming to my favorite female deep dubstep producer (not that there are too many of those around).
  4. I wasn't going to comment again if not directly mentioned with need to... but then I saw LavenaKydd shared her story and personal experience with the BossLady and original poster of this thread... and I wasn't going to read it, but my brain kept steering my eyes back to it and so I read it. Most of it being person experience and perspective I feel no need to comment on but these quotes stuck out to me. I know there are those who'll disagree with me and feel they have experienced proof that what I'm about to say is "wrong" ... in that same vein, what I have experienced can likewise be called proof that what I'm about to say is "right"/spot-on. People don't make other people change their emotional state. They don't reach into your mind and body against your freewill to make you think and feel the things you think and feel. You cried because the things you thought about her guilt-tripping you upset you to tears (also possibly a little bit the tears, as they're biologically designed for, helped to reduce the stress level of the moment/s.) In this way, I absolutely believe BossLady traumatized herself over the "lazy, ungrateful" employees and absolutely needs to heal that stuff-- though healing it, as with most emotional baggage in the spectrum of fear, woe, and anger, has more to do with learning how to pivot your own thought-trains and thus your emotional responses so that "traumatizing" events can be experienced in other ways.. in other emotional channels of experience besides the traumatic. So, I also feel inclined to say she didn't make you feel bad, your thoughts about her efforts of making you feel bad, made you feel bad-- because I don't really get the sense you REALLY believed her, even if she did successfully make you question yourself and "meet her halfway" in the paying her back the 1k L$'s. Peoples engagements with each other are exchanges of energy no matter how you slice it, and none of us has control over another's energy unless they allow it-- which does often happen unintentionally because there's no intent or purpose otherwise so there's an opening, so to speak, that gets filled with past patterns. Which is to say, if you're not actively practicing the perspectives and beingness you WANT to have and be, then you'll fall into what can be called "power dramas" where it's generally either a straight out tug-of-war type interactive of who's right/more-right or a surrender of one to the power-mongering of the other (which I sense is kinda what happened with you two.) Which brings me to the next quote... One of the easiest ways to not be compatible with power-drama peoples is to know All Truths Are True and have the willingness to allow someone their truth without taking it on yourself. Yes, without good practice or natural adeptness to it, it can be considered way easier said than done-- to allow a truth you fundamentally don't agree with or feel is NOT true, while also keeping your focus on what you DO agree with and feel is true for yourself. e.g. "I can tell YOU (BossLady) don't think my RL promotion is reason to celebrate and a forgivable reason for missing the event, but I do. I think it's time we part ways, thanks for the clarity!" She can keep her "self-centered" power and you can keep your celebratory vibe! Well, in the aftermath now.... it's never too late to change your mind about anything you want to experience differently! Past events included! Anyroad, I also think it's waaaaay out of line to say she IS evil and makes me wonder if you've ever actually crossed or engaged someone so far on the service-to-self spectrum they ooze "evil" by all current standards of our use of the word. Furthermore, to say "she never" implies that you know her in a 24-7 capacity and considering that your own recount of events says you weren't online near as much as she, saying such just puts you in the same assumptive & personally attacking state of a hurt person as she. All that aside, I think you asked some good legit questions in your post, and though I don't think she'll come back here and answer them, a part of me is a little curious of her answers and whether or not she'd be willing/able to answer them without attacking you/your character(personhood) back. In conclusion, I genuinely wish you all forgiveness as you need it, and happiness and fun as much as you can manage-- in both worlds! That's my 3 cents! RemmyHun
  5. I gotta say, one example of a newer store that is just killing it with mesh body support is Carol's Store. I like the fact that I can buy an outfit and it comes in both Inithium Khara and Maitreya LaraX mesh body sizes (which are the only bodies Vanity Fair wears nowadays). I can kill two birds with one stone!

  7. Ooh, I *like* this theory! And I have often thought that BumbleBee is eerily similar to Blueberry (albeit with a more muted colour palette).

  9. Also when Linden Lab/Second Life came into being back in 1944, there wasn't all the regulations on the web like we do now. The old wild west of the WWW is long gone.
  10. There is no way the CEO of Thunes won't put the fees up because they will think it's a great idea to make more money. The SL economy is already running so tightly strung and you can't get blood out of a stone, people will just buy less lindens. We will lose more of our favorite creators. SL will die a little bit more. Then as someone said before linden will look at other ways to get blood out of the stone because they just sold one of their revenue makers.
  11. For me finding good pair of pants for my avatar is a big struggle. I still haven't found a good pair. They either look bad, cheap or are laggy. Guess I will walk around without pants

  13. I think "partnership" is what you call it when you become a customer of your former subsidiary (that you still hold a minority stake in). Honestly, I think they did well to find a buyer for this turkey. It's not worthless like Sansar was, but if Oberwager can dine out on this for a while, good for him.
  14. Today
  15. I've tried several, but I'm still stuck on Avalon as my favorite, although I like Billie on my alt. It's the only one which allowed me to go from Lelutka Simone to Genus Strong to, now, Avalon and feel like my 'look' didn't change too drastically across those 3 main heads I used. I feel like it's getting older now, and I keep trying newer ones, but just can't shape any, quite yet, so I feel like "me".
  16. There's different kinds of "Valuable" with books. Some are old and rare, and valuable as investments. Some are beautiful, regardless of how many editions they have printed. Some are valuable because they contain useful information, or great entertainment. And some are valuable because they are very thick, printed on very thin paper, and can be acquired for free from bedside tables in hotel rooms, and will, if hung on a nail in the outhouse, last ALL winter!
  17. good thing i see is some Belgium people at their top boards we could correspond in Dutch now
  18. A friend played this the other day in SL. A bit of Led Zeppelin to it, but great heavy riff.... reminds me of White Stripes Ball and Biscuit.
