  3. I have given you substance and reasoning to support their position over many hours and many hundreds of sim crossings. You are choosing to ignore that well informed advice because it doesn't suit your narrative. I am the one being objective. You are the one who is being subjective by ignoring well research information because it is contrary to your un-researched opinion. Others on here already have you marked as a block worthy troll. I hope I've managed to make that view seem more reasonable for others in this thread. Have a nice day.
  4. Michael Gove: I think the people in this country have had enough of experts, with organizations from acronyms, saying— Interviewer: They've had enough of experts? The people have had enough of experts? What do you mean by that? Michael Gove: People from organizations with acronyms saying that they know what is best and getting it consistently wrong. Inteviewer: The people of this country have had enough of experts? Michael Gove: Because these people are the same ones who got consistently wrong what was happening. Interviewer: This is proper Trump politics this, isn't it? Michael Gove: No it's actually a faith in the— Inteviewer: It's Oxbridge Trump. Gove: It's a faith, Faisal, in the British people to make the right decision. (I knew I'd remember the quote after I'd logged off!)
  5. You just love to make us all jealous it’s so mean but we 💗 love it really.
  6. Ah yes, because the only valid opinion is that of a user who tosses their time into diagnosing a problem ... While that is not what you are directly saying, that is how it comes across. Word things a bit more carefully. Sorry, not retracting my statement as there is nothing at all factually wrong with it: The user was basing their opinion on a bias (be it personal or otherwise) and conjecture. No substance was given, no reasoning behind their statement made. I raised hardware as a variable specifically due to no two users having the same hardware. If you thought there was some other meaning there, it's on your own end. Stop reading things into a user's posts that are not explicitly stated. Test all you'd like. Meanwhile I'll be going about my day - on and off of Second Life - as I've done since the day I first logged in. Get hit with TP or Region Crossing issues? I'll log back in - after checking Grid Status - and try again. Problems persist? I'll try again tomorrow. It's called patience, something I have for most technical issues and something I lack when dealing with people. And yes, I'm quite fine with that. Now then, do you always have such a hard time stowing your attitude and remaining objective? No need to answer that, your current responses are answer enough. Have fun and have a good Second Life.
  7. Perhaps for the same reasons LL hasn't done it either? Or maybe why so many keep trying using Unity? Were you aware that much of what comprises SL were things LL acquired for free? Like the avatars were originally an outdated version of Ruth of Poser 3D fame (Daz 3D's predecessor)? So... how come you haven't done it... yet?
  8. In Normandale near my home in I found a little rowboat. You can not set to sea in it but there are some nice poses for one person or a couple to take photos - You can even mimic the Titanic. - or be seasick! Rowboat_Titanic by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr Meanwhile one of my Alts first went to an extremely nice public pool on the seashore in Hartnell ... sat there for a while ... Seashore_Pool by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr ... till she met a young lady with a cup of coffee in her hand ... asked where she got that ... and went to the "Books & Coffe" Hot_Coffe by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr ... the hot drinks are free - the waiter a bit unfriendly ... and I opened that DOOR ..... iiiiihhhhkkk!
  9. What makes you say I'm testing on something that Linden Lab isn't working on? That doesn't make sense. Yes all clients are affected. As I said in my post, the source of the problem is server side. Some clients however are having a lot more trouble than others. You said "Your friend is showing bias, based on their own experience and conjecture" .. no they are possibly not. Different clients are handling the current server problems differently. WOW do we all use different computers? It's amazing anyone ever debugs anything! *_* tell me more of your wisdom! You are the one that raised hardware as a possible issue in testing. I was simply stating that all my tests are on the same hardware. They show a clear difference in some client sim crossing disconnect rates under the current circumstances. Are we clear on that? Now pop quiz. Will you change your statement "Your friend is showing bias, based on their own experience and conjecture" ? Because it's clearly wrong. Completed Yavascript routes during testing sim disconnection issues: C1, C2/N2, C3, C4-Tea1, C4-Tea2 H1, H2, H3, H4, H6, H7, H8 G1-North, G1-South, G2, G5, G6, G7 J1, J2, J3, J4, J5, J6, J7 M1, M2, M3, N1 S0, S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8 T1, T2 Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Incomplete routes C4-Tea1 G7 H5 N3 That's evidence of the testing I've been doing. Would you care to provide me with evidence of extensive testing that you've been undertaking that supports your opinions?
  10. Creating drama to avoid drama doesn't work. The only point in even mentioning it, is to create drama. Two years isn't that long for a serious relationship. It's when you look back at the 20 (or even 10) year relationship that you realize just what long term relationship really means.

Aviation in SL is worth looking at again if LL is able to fix region crossings. They're working on it. Either they'll get them fixed this summer or they'll fail, unable to fix their code base. I'd suggest holding off on long-distance transportation projects for now. Lots of potential there if they fix it. (Something I'd like to do if LL can fix this - make a bus that corners properly. Most SL buses act like they're on a pivot under the bus.)

  15. @Lyz Fall The info about your COF versions in the image actually looks fine. In the top menu bar of the viewer, go to Avatar -> Avatar Health -> Reset default female avatar. Does that fix it?
  16. It's been reported to LL. BUG-226826 - flickr posting is broken
  17. I just went from Nuggy to Honah Lee Trudeau (as usual, via North of Nautilus City and turning South at Crows Nest) at high speed — and I mean HIGH speed — on two different motor boats and back without any issues. Actually, crossings were quite smooth. Many of the sims I went through were restarted afresh today with the new code, so it's early to know if it all going so well is due to the new server version or part of it (no idea to what extent, of course) was due to the fact they were restarted. [EDIT] Running Firestorm, as always.
  18. Why have I, a single individual of modest means, with hopes, ambitious, and responsibilities of my own, and without access to any of the resources LL has, not created a better version of SL all on my own? Clearly you've caught me. I am undone. Your logic is flawless.

  20. Aw, you don't like it when people are in long-term relationships and like to avoid unnecessary drama through boyfriend theft?
  21. When I wander the streets I can find myself momentarily jealous of the prime real estate BUT, honestly, I love the democratic nature of these builds. Even the most standard of plots have little touches to recommend them. I just realized kitty-corner to my backyard there is a riverside breakfast nook, cute! A couple of those stones in the far corner of my yard and it'll feel like the start of that path.
  22. Great. It's no trouble. You are probably not the only one affected by this crash so being willing to test a fix is very helpful & for the good of everyone I have meetings for a while but I'll fire off the patched Firestorm build as soon as I can & I'll send it to you in a forum PM. If this fixes the crash then the fix can be contributed to Linden Lab too.
  23. Hey, thats not fair! yesterday i refreshed my notecard giver and today there are dozens of new beautyful places and slurls in here! Well done, residents!
  24. it is not a new computer. it is in fact a very old install of windows which is probably why it's so glitchy. The command correctly lists my current video card. I can run a custom build of firestorm if you'd like. I just hope you're not doing it only for my sake. It occurs to me I have working linux dualboot on this machine and I could probably run firestorm from there if all else fails.
