There is something known as the alpha glitch.  This is when two objects that are textured with a transparent alpha texture line up in such a way that the object in back appears to overlap the object in front.  In your case, there may be another wall with windows beyond yours or perhaps a tree or plant just on the other side of your windows.  At certain angles, your windows may seem to disappear as the viewer attempts to resolve which alpha texture to render.

A long time issue that will most likely never go away, it has to do with alpha transparencies and the way some walls and windows are made. The only fix is to have a house that doesn't use textures with alpaha (so no built in windows in the walls for example).

The next time you buy a house, take careful note of this "feature" :D.  Personally it drives me MAD.  It is not a viewer issue. We all see it at some time or another but not so much these day thankfully. I mostly notice it with hair against plants. Not pretty *wink*.
