0 Rolig Loon
A whole song is not possible. You can upload a sound file in WAV format (44100 Hz, 16 bit) if it is less than 10 seconds long and if you pay L$10 for the upload. If you are clever about it, you can piece together a string of sound files to play as a continuous series. That's the way a lot of pianos and other instruments in SL work. That's your only option for uploading music. Most of the music you hear in SL, however, is not uploaded. It is streamed. If you have your music saved on a streaming server, you can load its URL in About Land >> Sound so that it is the default audio stream for your own parcel. Look at http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Parcel-media/ta-p/700097 and https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Streaming_Music to see how that's done. Most people other than live performers and DJs don't host their own streams, however. Their music streams are URLs stored on public servers that you can access with a service like Shoutcast. Here's a sampling >>> https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Music_Streams_To_Play_Inworld
